Roger Deakens is one of the best director of photography in the world. He has been worked with Joel Coen & Ethan Coen since (1991). He was nominated for Academy award 13 times. At last, he won the 2018 Academy Award for Best Pictures of the Year. This article aim to look at his style of photography, which he has consistently pursued, and how he controls and implements light. This paper suggests a different reading of James Joyce's "Araby" by offering the video game as a lens through which we can reimagine the story. Understanding the unnamed boy's journey to the Araby bazaar as a fetch quest, this paper focuses on the boy's failure to complete this quest. As soon as the boy promises Mangan's sister something from Araby, his fetch quest begins. In order to complete the quest, the boy must successfully perform three sub-quests: get money from his uncle as early as he can, get on the train for the Araby bazaar on time, and pass through the sixpenny entrance at the bazaar. However, because his uncle comes home late, the boy fails to get the money early, and that sets off the subsequent failures. The boy then takes the train late and arrives at the bazaar so late that he feels he must go through any entrance. So he walks through the adult entrance by mistake. As a result, he does not have enough money to buy a gift, failing the larger quest. But, regardless of this failure, the boy can try these quests as many as he wants until he finally succeeds in completing them. But no matter how the boy tries to accomplish these subquests, he is doomed to fail them because he cannot make his uncle come home early. The more he tries his quest, the more bitterly he realizes that he will ultimately fail. In this respect, the boy's "anguish and anger" should be understood as his epiphany: the re-playability of the game is possible, but all the replays lead to the same failure: losing the game. In this regard, reading Joyce's "Araby" is much like playing a video game.

국제 NGO 단체인 '인류를 위한 에너지'(Energy for Humanity)는 프랑스 마크롱 대통령에게 보내는 공개서한을 통해 탈원전 정책이 추진된다면 전력요금이 상승하고 전력 수출 산업이 쇠퇴할 것이며 원전 수출 산업이 붕괴할 것이라고 지적했다. 공개서한에는 저명한 기후학자인 James Hansen과 Kerry Emanuel, 5차 기후변화협약보고서 수석 저자인 Francois-Marie Breon 등을 필두로 한 45인의 학자, 기고가, 환경 운동가 등의 서명이 포함되었다.

일본은 사용후연료의 재처리 정책을 진행하고 있으나 고속증식로 계획이 지연됨에 따라 그 처리의 목표가 확실하지 못하다. MOX(Mixed-Oxide Fuel : 혼합 산화물 연료)에 의한 처리가 계획되어 있으나 상당히 어려운 상황이다. 또 2018년에 미 일 원자력협력협정의 갱신이 예정되어 있는데 이 플루토늄의 취급이 문제가 될 예정이다. 미국은 핵무기의 원료나 테러에 사용할지도 모르는 플루토늄의 확산을 경계하고 있기 때문이다.

Using the Buckley-James method, we construct bootstrap confidence intervals for the regression coefficients under the censored data. And we compare these confidence intervals in terms of the coverage probabilities and the expected confidence interval lengths through Monte Carlo simulation.
