대형 Ti-6Al-4V 합금의 Ring-Rolling 공정설계 (Ring-Rolling Design of a Large-Scale Ti-6Al-4V alloy)

  • The ring rolling design for a large-scale Ti-6Al-4V alloy ring was performed with a calculation method and FEM simulation. The ring rolling design includes geometry design and optimization of process variables. The calculation method was to determine geometry design such as initial billet and blank size, and final rolled ring shape. A commercial FEM code, SHAPE was used to simulate the effect of process variables in ring rolling on the distribution of the internal state variables such as strain, strain rate and temperature. In order to predict the forming defects during ring rolling, the process-map approach based on Ziegler's instability criterion was used with FEM simulation. Finally, an optimum process design to obtain sound Ti-6Al-4V rings without forming defects was suggested through combined approach of Ziegler's instability map and FEM simulation results.

  • The function of Feed Water Ring is to provide the flow path from Feedwater Nozzle to inside of SG(steam generator). Significant amounts of general FAC on the outside of the Feed Water Ring are not likely due to the low flow velocities in this area. However, on the interior of the Feed Water Ring, there may be areas of local higher flow velocity which could lead to higher FAC rates. These may include the inlet tee from the Feedwater Nozzle into the Feed Water Ring, the areas where the Feed Water Ring changes diameter, and especially the entrance area to the J-Nozzles. In this paper, the results of root cause analysis of through-wall hole observed at domestic WH 51F SG Feed Water Ring and its effect on the integrity and performance of SG are described. And, the maintenance strategy for WH 51F SG Feed Water Ring and the monitoring strategy for Downcomer Feed Water Ring of CE System 80 SG are presented.

Structures Related to Right Duo Factor Rings

  • We study the structure of rings whose factor rings modulo nonzero proper ideals are right duo; such rings are called right FD. We first see that this new ring property is not left-right symmetric. We prove for a non-prime right FD ring R that R is a subdirect product of subdirectly irreducible right FD rings; and that R/N∗(R) is a subdirect product of right duo domains, and R/J(R) is a subdirect product of division rings, where N∗(R) (J(R)) is the prime (Jacobson) radical of R. We study the relation among right FD rings, division rings, commutative rings, right duo rings and simple rings, in relation to matrix rings, polynomial rings and direct products. We prove that if a ring R is right FD and 0 ≠ e2 = e ∈ R then eRe is also right FD, examining that the class of right FD rings is not closed under subrings.

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between the depths of the Rees algebra R[It] and the associated graded ring g $r_{I}$(R) of an ideal I in a local ring (R,m) of dim(R) > 0. The relationship between the Cohen-Macaulayness of these two rings has been studied extensively. Let (R, m) be a local ring and I an ideal of R. An ideal J contained in I is called a reduction of I if J $I^{n}$ = $I^{n+1}$ for some integer n.geq.0. A reduction J of I is called a minimal reduction of I. The reduction number of I with respect to J is defined by (Fig.) S. Goto and Y.Shimoda characterized the Cohen-Macaulay property of the Rees algebra of the maximal ideal of a Cohen-Macaulay local ring in terms of the Cohen-Macaulay property of the associated graded ring of the maximal ideal and the reduction number of that maximal ideal.   • A ring R is called an $I_0$-ring if each left ideal not contained in the Jacobson radical J(R) contains a non-zero idempotent. If, in addition, idempotents can be lifted modulo J(R), R is called an I-ring or a potent ring. We study whether these properties are inherited by some related rings. Also, we investigate the structure of potent rings.

  • In this paper, we study Noetherian Boolean rings. We show that if R is a Noetherian Boolean ring, then R is finite and $R{\simeq}(\mathbb{Z}_2)^n$ for some integer $n{\geq}1$. If R is a Noetherian ring, then R/J is a Noetherian Boolean ring, where J is the intersection of all ideals I of R with |R/I| = 2. Thus R/J is finite, and hence the set of ideals I of R with |R/I| = 2 is finite. We also give a short proof of Hayes's result : For every polynomial $f(x){\in}\mathbb{Z}[x]$ of degree $n{\geq}1$, there are irreducible polynomials $g(x)$ and $h(x)$, each of degree $n$, such that $g(x)+h(x)=f(x)$.

  • A ring R is called reversibly Armendariz if $b_ja_i=0$ for all $i$, $j$ whenever $f(x)g(x)=0$ for two polynomials $f(x)=\sum_{i=0}^{m}a_ix^i,\;g(x)=\sum_{j=0}^{n}b_jx^j$ over R. It is proved that a ring R is reversibly Armendariz if and only if its polynomial ring is reversibly Armendariz if and only if its Laurent polynomial ring is reversibly Armendariz. Relations between reversibly Armendariz rings and related ring properties are examined in this note, observing the structures of many examples concerned. Various kinds of reversibly Armendariz rings are provided in the process. Especially it is shown to be possible to construct reversibly Armendariz rings from given any Armendariz rings.

타이타늄합금 형상 링 압연공정 연구 (A Study on Profile Ring Rolling Process of Titanium Alloy)

  • The profile ring rolling process of Ti-6Al-4V alloy was investigated by finite element(FE) simulation and experimental analysis. The process design of the profile ring rolling includes geometry design and optimization of process variables. The geometry design such as initial billet and blank sizes, and final rolled ring shape was carried out with the calculation method based on the uniform deformation concept between the wall thickness and ring height. FEM simulation was used to calculate the state variables such as strain, strain rate and temperature and to predict the formation of forming defects during ring rolling process. Finally, the mechanical properties of profiled Ti-6Al-4V alloy ring product were analyzed with the evolution of microstructures during the ring rolling process.

  • Design and Manufacturing processes of Ti-6Al-4V profiled ring-products were investigated with three-dimensional FEM simulation and experimental analyses. FEM simulation for the ring-rolling process was used to calculate the state variables such as strain, strain rate and temperature. In the simulation results of strain and temperature distributions for a plane ring rolling process, the strain level at the surface area is higher than that at the mid-plane, but the temperature level at the surface area is lower than that at mid-plane due to heat transfer between the workpiece and the work roll. These distributions showed a great influence on the evolution of microstructure in different positions. In order to induce the uniform deformation of the profile ring and reduce the applied load, the final blank was prepared by two-step processes. The mechanical properties of Ti-6Al-4V alloy ring products made in this work were investigated with tensile and impact tests and analyzed with the evolution of microstructures during the ring rolling process.
