Objectives : We presented the results of reliability study in advance, and analyzed agreement between Korean medicine doctors(KMDs)' diagnosis and cold-heat pattern identification questionnaire(CHPI)'s diagnosis. Methods : This survey was conducted from May 16 to 17, 2015. The subjects were 93 adults living in rural society. Diagnosis of CHPI was performed by 2 KMDs who have clinical experience more than 5 years. The KMDs' diagnosis was set as a reference index, and then we compare 23 items(cold pattern 11 items and heat pattern 12 items) of CHPI questionnaire and 15 items(cold pattern 8 items and heat pattern 7 items) that were brief form of it. We had cut-off value by standard of KMDs' diagnosis using receiver operating characteristic-curve(ROC-curve), with which we calculated agreement including kappa value. Correlation analysis between CHPI evaluation score by KMDs and by the questionnaire was fulfilled as well. Results : Agreement about 11 and 8 cold pattern items showed 87.1% together, and the value of kappa each recorded 0.742 and 0.741. Agreement about 12 and 7 heat pattern items suggested 81.7% and 78.5%, and the value of kappa showed 0.634 and 0.570. Correlation coefficients were 0.803 of 11 items and 0.761 of 8 items about cold pattern. In addition, correlation coefficients were 0.789 of 12 items and 0.767 of 7 items about heat pattern. The significant probability (p-value) was under 0.001. Conclusions : We have developed CHPI questionnaire involving reliability and agreement based on usual symptoms, and hope additional complements so that Korean medicine diagnostics and Korean preventive medicine would be improved.
Postpartum depression is one of the most serious problems in maternal health because it affects not only the mother but also her family. Postpartum depression disturbs the maternal-infant interaction and attachment. However, most postpartum depression patients ignore this problem and do not seek treatment. Many clinicians and researchers realiza there is a need to develop a postpartum depression scale. Thus, this study has been designed to development of a postpartum depression scale. Data were collected through a survey over a period of three months. Subjects who participated in the study were 167 Korean mothers in their postpartum period. The author used a convenience sampling method. The analysis of the data was done with SPSS PC/sup +/ for descriptive statistics, item analysis and factor analysis. Initially 62 items were generated from the interview data of eight postpartum depression patients and from a literature review. This preliminary scale was analyzed for reliability and validity. The results of this analysis are as follows. 1. Initially 62 items were analyzed through the Index of Content Validity(CVI) and 48 items were selected. 2. Seven factors were extracted through the principal component analysis, and these contributed 61% of the variance in the total score. Finally 46 items in the scale loaded .41∼ .84 on one of seven factors. 3. Each factor was labeled. Factor 1 was labeled 'emotional phenomena-emotional upset' and included 13 items, factor 2 was labeled' cognitive phenomena-self concept disturbance' and included seven items, factor 3 was labeled 'relationship to baby-negative feeling' and included six items, factor 4 was labeled 'relationship to baby- overload' and included eight items, factor 5 was labeled 'negative maternal identity' and included five items, factor 6 was labeled 'biophysiological phenomena-disturbance of physical functioning' and included four items, and factor 7 was labeled' interpersonal relationship phenomena-blamed others' and included three items. 4. Cronbach Coefficient Alpha for internal consistency was .95 for the total 46 items. Finally, the author suggests that this scale could be adequately applied in assessing the postpartum depression of mothers during the postpartum period. The results of this study can contribute to designing an appropriate postpartum depression prevention strategy.
This study analyzed the budget investment plans for the unit-project items(UPI) of 176 project districts for the rural village comprehensive development projects (RVCDP). This study classified the master plan reports of 176 project districts into 88 unit project items in aspect of project management, in order to analyze characteristics of distribution of budget in each project item. Most of all unit project items have similar types of uniform distribution with plus skewness in frequency pattern analysis except the total budget of the project district. This study analyzed the characteristics of budget distribution per province, year, and geographical types of region. Furthermore this paper also analyzed ratio of budget in unit project items to find out distribution pattern of each budget between project items over time. The hierarchical system for UPI of RVCDP consisted of three steps, which are 4 items of the first step on Strength of Rural-urban Exchange & Regional Capability (RURC), Green-income Infrastructure & Facility (GIF), Culture- health-welfare Facility, and Eco-environment & Landscape facility (ELF), 13 items for the second one, and 52 items for the third project items. From the results of the budget investment analysis for 5 years from 2004 to 2008, the budget investment ratios of RURC and ELF have steady state for every year, while GIF in decreasing and ELF in increasing over time. The ratios of UPI on infrastructure were decreased, whereas those on culture, health, and welfare were increased. Portion of tow project items among 52 items, which are community centers for village residents and rural experimental study facility, has 30% of total budget investment. Futhermore, the budget ratios of seven project items showed 50% of total budget. Average value of project budgets for five years was optimized as a type of exponential function in the case of decent array for ranking order.

Korea's construction industry experienced no difficulty managing the costs of finishing work items in the apartment housing field thanks to the uniform specification and the standardized costs of finishing work items. Finishing work items have continuously become more high class and differentiated, which has caused the costs of finishing work items to rise. This study identified problems with the cost management when planning finishing work items and choosing their alternatives based on the current process applied to the planning stage of finishing work items. It also found problems with the information management of finishing work items including design, cost, and work information that took place in bulk. Based on the identified problems, the design, cost and work information of finishing work items was integrated so that they could management the costs and information when planning finishing work items and selecting their alternatives. Then a cost-based information management process was suggested for finishing work items by improving each of the project cost management elements. Finally, an information model for finishing work items was built by studying the ways to integrate the information hierarchy and library of finishing work items.

This paper reports on three Delphi surveys based on draft evaluation items with the aim of deriving evaluation items prior to developing a BF certification index for school facilities in order to make the index safe and convenient. To this end, problems were formulated using content analysis and follow-up evaluation of existing BF certification indicators. Draft BF certification evaluation items for school facilities were proposed. The adequacy of each evaluation item was verified using a Delphi survey. Experts and working-level groups, such as university professors, architects, public officials, certification agencies, and organizations for disabled persons, provided feedback for all evaluation items for school facility BF, which was incorporated in the final evaluation items. As a result of the Delphi surveys, in addition to the existing 8 evaluation items, a total of 75 evaluation items were proposed as maintenance items, 12 as improvement review items, and 15 as new evaluation items.

The scores for the scale were significantly correlated with the quality of life of cancer patients. Cronbach's alpha coefficient for the 18 items was .88. Conclusion: The above findings indicate that the integrative palliative care scale has good validity and reliability when used for cancer patients.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop elderly meaning in life scale with high validity and reliability. Method: The process of development of this scale were as follows. A conceptual framework composed of 4 phases of meaning in life of elderly was identified based on the literature review and interviews with elderlies and discussion with experts in meaning in life. Total 62 items, 4-points scale were developed. Through reliability testing, factor analysis, 40 preliminary items were selected. By means of internal consistency of 40 items, 2 items whose inner-items correlation coefficient was below .30 were deleted. Through factor analysis 1 item whose factor loading was below .30 was deleted. Finally 37 items were remained. To verify 37 items, factor analysis, reliability testing, LISEREL were done. Data were collected from 320 elderly subjects in Busan-KyungNam and Jeonla Province from May to June in 2002. SPSS WIN. 10.0 Program was used. Result: The result of factor analysis of 37 items, 8 factors were extracted. These factors were labeled as ‘self- awareness and self-acceptance’, ‘contentedness with life’, ‘purpose in life’, ‘love in family’, ‘role awareness’, ‘futuristic aspiration’, ‘commitment’, and ‘experience of love’. These factors included 4 phases of the meaning in life. Cronbach's Alpha of 37 items was .908 and correlation coefficient of PIL was .75. Conclusion: The researchers recommend the follows: The explorative study on the variables related to meaning in life are needed for criterion validity of this scale. The studies on meaning in life of different age groups, subjects are needed for reverification.
The purpose of this study was to develop an instrument for measuring elementary school students' environmental literacy. The process of instrument development was four phases. The first two phases involved defining the domain of the construct, writing an initial pool of 55 items, and reviewing the items for revision and deletion. These steps were taken to provide the evidence of content-related validity, and to reduce a number of items. The third phase was, through item analysis, to determine the most appropriate items for the environmental literacy for the elementary school students. For the forth phases, the fifth and sixth students in elementary school participated in this survey. To examine the reliability and validity of environmental literacy for the elementary school students, internal consistency estimate, and factor analysis were used. The results of this study were summarized as follows; Firstly, thorough factor analysis, we developed Environmental Literacy Instrument for the elementary school students, consisted of total 41 items (knowledge 8 items, emotion 11 items, skill 10 items, and behavior 13 items); Secondly, Cronbach's alpha was .783 for knowledge, .832 for emotion, .866 for skill and 8.61 for behavior.
