  • In the resent years, the Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display(TFT-LCD) have trend toward larger panel sizes and higher spatial and/or gray-scale resolution. In this trend, Because of its low field effect mobility, a-Si TFT is change to poly-Si TFT. In this paper, both effective-medium model of poly-Si TFTs and empirical capacitance model are applied to Pixel Design Array Simulation Tool (PDAST) and the pixel characteristics of TFT-LCD array were simulated, which were compared with the results calculated by Aim-Spice.

  • The study of health promoting and disease preventing compounds in food or by themselves, so called nutraceuticals or functional foods, has become a major field of research in food science. Natural flavor compounds are usually present in food, essential oils, spices, and herbs. These compounds can produce aroma, not only by themselves, but also in combination with other compounds. Today, however, greater interest is being paid to the health promoting properties of natural flavor substances rather than their flavoring properties. In fact, a number of naturally occurring flavor compounds that possess health promoting and disease preventing properties have been extensively studied and identified. The beneficial properties of natural volatile flavor compounds as well as non-volatile substances in spices and herbs discussed in this review include antioxidant, anticarcinogenic, anti-inflammatory, and immune enhancing activities.

  • Natto is a Japanese traditional food made from whole soybenas by fermentation of Bacillus natto. This study was attempted to improve the taste of Natto. Natto was compared with the changes in the various chemical properties after it had been produced by the addition of garlic and red pepper oleoresin. the remained content of total sugar fo Natto added with red pepper oleoresin decreased than other groups during 24hours fermentation. The remained content of reduced sugar of Natto added with garlic, red pepper oleoresin increased than other groups. The amount of total free sugar showed almost no differences in the case of garlic and red pepper oleoresin added. Amino type nitrogen content increased gradually after 24 hour fermentation in all samples. Free amino acid content increased in conventinal Natto.

  • This paper describes the CIREX(CIRcuit EXtractor), an automated CMOS circuit extraction program which provides SPICE2 input file by computing circuit connectivity and transistor dimensions from the CIF file. The CIREX also computes parasitic capacitance and resistance which makes it a valuable tool for timing analysis and detailed circuit simulation. A lattice model is used to calculate the interconnection resistances and substrate capacitances which can be replaced, as an option, by a node model for the worst case timing analysis of the circuit.

  • The purpose of this study is analysis of fusion cuisine recipe a gathering datum and informations for development of the fusion cuisine. The fusion cuisine is a new creative cuisine that come from a mixing between different cuisine recipe especially eastern cuisine wi th western cuisine. The fusion food is becoming a world popular food since 1980's. In Korea, the fusion food is favorite food is needed for development of the fusion cuisine, and we are able to get the datum and informations from mass media such as cuisine journals, newspapers and internet web site. Results of the analysis are as follows : 1. The fusion cuisine that core stuff is the grain have features that make a use of a spice and fat such as butter and olive oil. Boiling is used most frequently as a way of cooking among the grain centred fusion cuisine. Spagetti is used very after as a stuff for the fusion food. 2. The fusion cuisine that core stuff is meat make use of unusual meat such as the pigeons and spicery, and its popular cooking way is a baking. 3, The fusion cuisine that core stuff is a fish make use of herbs and alchole to get rid of a fishy smell, and various sauces are used for promoting taste and styling. 4. The fusion cuisine that core stuff is fruit and vegetables make use of boiling as cooking ways most frequently, but in the case that cook try to keep nutritive qualities, baking is used most frequently. 5. In beverage centred fusion cuisine, mixing of alchole with juice is most popular, its taste and color is unusually gorgeous.

  • It is necessary that fully differential operational amplifier circuit should drive an external load in the VLSI design such as SCF(Switched Capacitor Filter), D/A Converter, A/D Converter, Telecommunication Circuit and etc. The conventional CMOS operational amplifier circuit has many problems according to CMOS technique. Firstly, Capacity of large loads are not able to operate well. The problem can be solve to use class AB stages. But large loads are operate a difficult, because an element of existing CMOS has a quadratic functional relation with input and output voltage versus output current. Secondly, Whole circuit of dynamic range decrease, because a range of input and output voltages go down according as increasing of intergration rate drop supply voltage. The problem can be improved by employing fully differential operational amplifier using differential output stage with wide output swing. In this paper, we proposed new current mirror has large output impedance and good current matching with input an output current and compared with characteristics for operational amplifier using cascoded current mirror. To obtain large output swing and low power consumption we suggest a fully differential operational amplifier. The circuit employs an output stage composed new current mirror and two amplifier stage. The proposed circuit is layout and circuit of capability is inspected through simulation program(SPICE3f).

  • The embedded software has been become more important than the hardware in mobile systems in ubiquitous society. The improvement models such as CMMI(Capability Maturity Model Integration) and SPICE(Software Process Improvement and Capability dEtermination) are used to improve the quality of software in general systems. Software process improvement is also necessary for mobile embedded software development to improve its quality. It is not easy to apply the general software improvement model to the mobile embedded software development due to the high cost effectiveness and heavy process. On the other hand, XP has the characteristics on focused communications with customers and iteration development. It is specially suitable for mobile embedded software development as depending on customer's frequent requirement changes and hardware attributes. In this paper, we propose a framework for development small process improvement based XP(eXtreme Programming)'s practice in order to accomplish CMMI level 2 or 3 in mobile embedded software development at the small organizations. We design and implement the Mobile Embedded Software Process Improvement System(MESPIS) to support process improvement. We also suggest the evaluation method for the mobile embedded software development process improvement framework with CMMI coverage check by comparing other process improvement model. In the future, we need to apply this proposed framework to real project for practical effectiveness and the real cases quantitative. It also include the enhance the functionality of MESPIS.

  • In this paper, the multiple-valued adders and multipliers are implemented by current-mode CMOS. First, we implement the 3-valued T-gate and the 4-valued T-gate using current-mode CMOS which have an effective availability of integrated circuit design. Second we implement the circuits to be realized 2-variable 3-valued addition table and multiplication table over finite fields $GF(3^2)$, and 2-variable 4-valued addition table and multiplication table over finite fields $GF(4^2)$ with the multiple-valued T-gates. Finally, these operation circuits are simulated under $1.5\mutextrm{m}$ CMOS standard technology, $15\mutextrm{A}$ unit current, and 3.3V VDD voltage Spice. The simulation results have shown the satisfying current characteristics. The 3-valued adder and multiplier, and the 4-valued adder and multiplier implemented by current-mode CMOS is simple and regular for wire routing and possesses the property of modularity with cell array. Also, since it is expansible for the addition and multiplication of two polynomials in the finite field with very large m, it is suitable for VLSI implementation.

A Study on Temperature Dependent Super-junction Power TMOSFET

  • It is important to operate the driving circuit under the optimal condition through precisely sensing the power consumption causing the temperature made mainly by the MOSFET (metal-oxide semiconductor field-effect transistor) when a BLDC (Brushless Direct Current) motor operates. In this letter, a Super-junction (SJ) power TMOSFET (trench metal-oxide semiconductor field-effect transistor) with an ultra-low specific on-resistance of $0.96m{\Omega}{\cdot}cm^2$ under the same break down voltage of 100 V is designed by using of the SILVACO TCAD 2D device simulator, Atlas, while the specific on-resistance of the traditional power MOSFET has tens of $m{\Omega}{\cdot}cm^2$, which makes the higher power consumption. The SPICE simulation for measuring the power distribution of 25 cells for a chip is carried out, in which a unit cell is a SJ Power TMOSFET with resistor arrays. In addition, the power consumption for each unit cell of SJ Power TMOSFET, considering the number, pattern and position of bonding, is computed and the power distribution for an ANSYS model is obtained, and the SJ Power TMOSFET is designed to make the power of the chip distributed uniformly to guarantee it's reliability.
