사철 제련을 통해 생산된 슬래그와 괴련철의 재료과학적 특성 비교 (Material Characteristic of Slags and Iron Bloom Produced by Smelting Process Using Sand Iron)

  • 본 연구에서는 전통 제련법을 토대로 사철을 이용해 괴련철 생산을 재현하고 슬래그 및 괴련철을 분석하여 재료학적 특성을 알아보았다. 원료는 고문헌을 토대로 경주사철과 포항사철을 이용했다. WD-XRF 및 XRD 결과 경주사철은 저티탄사철의 Magnetite이며 포항사철은 고티탄사철의 Magnetite와 Ilmenite가 혼합됨을 확인하였다. 슬래그의 XRD 및 미세조직 분석결과 경주사철 슬래그는 Fayalite와 $W{\ddot{u}stite$, 포항사철 슬래그는 Titanomagnetite와 Fayalite가 확인되어 사철의 Ti 함량에 따른 조직의 차이를 확인하였다. 괴련철의 미세조직의 분석결과 경주사철 괴련철은 표면에 공석강에 가까운 탄소함량을 보이는 Pearlite가 우세하며, 내부는 Ferrite와 Pearlite가 혼재된 아공석강이었다. 포항사철 괴련철은 순철에 가까운 Ferrite이었다. 괴련철의 철물화를 위해서는 내부 불순물 제거, 조직을 치밀하게 하는 정련 및 단접이 필요함을 확인하였다. 향후 다양한 조건의 전통 제철 실험을 통해 제철부산물의 성격을 규명하고 제철 유적의 특징을 알아보는데 중요한 데이터로 활용 가능할 것이다.

  • This paper describes a compact Iron-cored Electronic Current Transformer(ECT) based on IEC 61850. The ECT developed in this study has the feature of designing the current transformer with a compact iron-core, compensating error due to the nonlinear characteristic of Iron-core, and applying IEC 61850 9-2 for sampled value(SMV). We verify the performance of the innovative product developed in the study in KERI and test the performance of digital communication in the lab.

Sensorless Vector Controlled Induction Machine in Field Weakening Region: Comparing MRAS and ANN-Based Speed Estimators

  • The accuracy of all the schemes that belong to vector controlled induction machine drives is strongly affected by parameter variations. The aim of this paper is to examine iron losses and magnetic saturation effect in sensorless vector control of induction machines. At first, an approach to induction machine modelling and vector control scheme, which account for both iron loss and saturation, is presented. Then, a model reference adaptive system (MRAS) based speed estimator is developed. The speed estimation is modified in such a way that iron losses and the variation in the saturation level are compensated. Thus by substituting an artificial neural network flux estimator into the MRAS speed estimator. Experimental results are presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Waffle-Iron 도파관 여파기 설계 (Design of Waffle-Iron Waveguide Filter)

  • 본 논문에서는 waffle-iron 도파관 여파기의 실용적인 설계 방법을 기술하였다. 설계 과정은 두 단계로 이루어진다. 첫 단계로는 waffle-iron 구조의 단일 window에 대해 EM S/W tool를 이용하여 S-파라미터를 구하고, ABCD 파라미터로 변환하여 K-인버터를 계산하고, 두 번째 단계는 분포 정수 원형 여파기와 일치되게 window의 크기를 최적화한다. 설계 방법을 검증하기 위해 위성통신용 Ka 대역 여파기를 설계하고 제작하였다. 측정 결과는 계산 결과와 비교하여 양호하게 일치하였다.

난분해성 후렉소잉크 폐수중 유기물 및 색도제거를 위한 철촉매 공기산화 공정의 적용 (Application of Iron-Catalyzed Air Oxidation Process for Organics and Color Removals in Recalcitrance Flexographic Inks Wastewater)

  • The oxidation processes of metal catalysis were practically applied into the flexographic inks wastewater treatment to derive the most effective and economical system among all the processes of iron-salts coagulation, iron-catalyzed air oxidation, and coagulation followed by biological treatment. The iron concentration and pH were optimized as $2.8{\times}10^{-3}mol$ and 5.5~6.0, respectively, for all the oxidation processes. At the optimal reaction conditions, the removal efficiencies of $TCOD_{Mn}$ and Color were as follows for the respective process: i) 75% $TCOD_{Mn}$ and 77% Color removals for iron-salts coagulation, ii) 91% TCODMn and 90% Color removals for iron-catalyzed air oxidation, iii) 74~92% $TCOD_{Mn}$ and 81~90% Color removals for coagulation followed by biological treatment. Based on the economical and technological aspects, iron-catalyzed air oxidation was confirmed as the most effective process in the treatment of industrial wastewater.

소규모 정수처리시설 내 비소제거를 위한 산화철 담체 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristic of Iron Oxide Carrier for the Removal of Arsenic in Small Water Treatment Plant)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the characteristic of the iron oxide carrier for removing arsenic contained in the groundwater. 4 types of iron oxide carrier used in the study is iron oxide coated sand carrier (IOCSC), iron oxide coated zeolite carrier (IOCZC), iron oxide plasticity carrier (IOPC) and platinum iron oxide plasticity carrier (PIOPC). The results of this study, IOPC is showed high arsenic adsorption strength and the maximum amount of adsorption than the IOCC. Based on the results of the arsenic adsorption characteristic, by using IOCC was conducted to column test. As a result, PIOPC is showed a high arsenic adsorption amount than IOPC, it was found that the time required to reach the breakthrough point is also extended. Therefore it is determined that stably compliance with water quality standards enhanced drinking water when using the PIOPC.

십전대보탕 및 자혈양근탕 첨가 식이가 흰쥐의 철분 생체이용률에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Dietary Supplementation of Sypjeondaebotang or Jahyulyanggeuntang on Iron Bioavailability in Rats)

  • The effect of dietary supplementation of the two oriental medicinal prescriptions, Sypjeondaebotang or Jahyulyanggeuntang, on iron bioavailability was evaluated in rats which were depleted of iron by being fed an irondeficient diet for 4 weeks. Seventy two iron-depleted rats were randomly divided into 3 groups (n = 24) , and fld one of the following experimental diets for 4 (n = 8), 12 (n = 8), and 25 days (n = 8) : Control diet (CD), Sypjeondaebotang-supplemented diet (SD), Jahyulyanggeuntang -supplemented diet (JD). The CD contained 20 mg Fe/kg diet as FeSO4, and the SD or JD was identical except that the respective oriental medicinal prescription extract was included at the level of 4 g/kg diet. Animals fed the SD and JD for 25 days consumed significantly less food (p<0.001), but showed no change in food efficiency ratio compared to those that were fed the CD. Serum iron concentration and transferrin saturation values were significantly higher in rats fed the SD for 25 days compared to those that were fed the CD for the same period (p < 0.05). The values of serum UIBC (p < 0.05) and TIBC (p > 0.05) were lower in rats fed the SD compared to those fed the CD. Dietary supplementation of Sypjeondaebotang during the period of iron repletion significantly increased blood levels of hemoglobin (p < 0.05) and hematocrit (p < 0.01) measured at day 12, and increased mean corpuscular volume (p < 0.05) measured at day 25, compared to the values for the CD rats. Regression analyses of hemoglobin-repletion bioassay data from rats fed the SD and JD showed the relative biological values of 123% and 99%, respectively, calculated against the slope for the CD rats. Apparent iron absorption and retention values were also significantly lower (p < 0.05) in rats fed the SD for 25 days than those for the CD rats. Based on the results from diverse biochemical indices of iron status and the chemical balance study, the effect of Jahyulyanggeuntang on iron bioavailability appears to be less prominent than that for Sypjeondaebotang. Taken together, these results indicate that Sypjeondaebotang has a positive effect in restoring iron depletion by increasing the iron bioavailability in rats.

양수리 주거지출토 철제유물의 금속조직과 분석-BC1-AD1 세기 추정 철제유물을 중심으로 (The structure analysis of iron relics excavated at dwelling site of Yangsoo-ri)

  • The research was conducted to understand type of iron used by those who lived at dwelling site of Yangsoo-ri in between the first century B.C. and the first century A.D. to make steel products and their technique such as steel making process and heat treatment, based on micro structure information obtained through microscopic metallographic structure analysis with SEM-EDS of six steel productsexhumed at the site. Key findings are summarized as below. In the sense that Si-Ca-Al style and less than 0.5% of Ti were found in the non-metallic inclusion, the material used for forged iron ware was magnetite resolved in that. It is, however, unclear whether magnetite was resolved at high temperature or at low temperature. Microscopic structure analysis revealed that forged steel products were made through repeated hot working, the technique of molding by hitting after heating in the process of resolving and molding iron. As a result, the iron used here for the products was not the iron ore which was produced through resolution from discarded cast iron axe, ingot iron. It is probable that to make those steel products, disposed-of cast iron was reused after being molded by decarburizing. Although a few of relics were analyzed for the research, they were of critical importance in defining the process of ironware production from the first century B.C. and the first century A.D. at the Yangsoo-ri region. Judging from the iron from A-19 dwellingsite, it is possible to conclude that the iron was manufactured from cast iron decarburized and yet more research has to be done into relics yetto be exhumed in order to ascertain the finding. All of these findings are believed to play a critical role in further studies to define the steel-manufacturing technique used on the central Korean peninsular in the ancient times.

곡류제품의 철 강화 시나리오 작성 및 평가 (Estimated Iron Intakes from Simulated Fortification to Selected Grain Products in the Korea Food Supply)

  • Until now, South Korea does not have either fortification or enrichment program as intervention tools although the addition of micronutrients to foods is for the most part not regulated. The aim of this study was to determine which scenario would most effectively reduce the proportion of the population with low iron intake while not putting other population groups at risk of excessive intakes. In order to investigate potential dietary consequences of iron fortification we analyzed 2 day dietary record data (n=3,955) from the 2001 National Nutrition Surveys. The Proportion of the population consuming dietary iron less than the estimated average requirement (EAR) ranged from $12.4{\sim}87.5%$ depending upon gender and age group. Iron fortification at the level of 100% of Recommended Intake (RI) per 100g to breads and instant o. dried noodles was estimated to result in a 15% decrease of proportion of those with iron less than EAR, while putting 1.4 % of the population greater than the Upper Limit (UL). Iron fortification appeared to be the most effective for the $15{\sim}19$ year old age group, showing 39% reduction of iron intake insufficiency. The results suggest that carefully designed fortification or enrichment to staple foods may contribute to increase dietary iron intakes of Koreans, especially for the young population with a high prevalence of iron inadequacy. As the estimation in this study was based solely upon dietary intake data, iron intake from supplements should be considered in further studies.
