  • With the application and promotion of biometric technology, biometrics has become more and more important to identity authentication. In order to ensure the privacy of the user, the biometrics cannot be stored or manipulated in plaintext. Aiming at this problem, this paper analyzes and summarizes the scheme and performance of the existing biometric authentication system, and proposes an iris-based ciphertext authentication system based on fully homomorphic encryption using the FV scheme. The implementation of the system is partly powered by Microsoft's SEAL (Simple Encrypted Arithmetic Library). The entire system can complete iris authentication without decrypting the iris feature template, and the database stores the homomorphic ciphertext of the iris feature template. Thus, there is no need to worry about the leakage of the iris feature template. At the same time, the system does not require a trusted center for authentication, and the authentication is completed on the server side directly using the one-time MAC authentication method. Tests have shown that when the system adopts an iris algorithm with a low depth of calculation circuit such as the Hamming distance comparison algorithm, it has good performance, which basically meets the requirements of real application scenarios.

  • The biometrics of iris is a very accurate authentication method. The biometrics of iris can recognize and identify a person for shortly. But the image of iris is changed by transformation of body in the life. The existing iris authentication system has problem that can be mis-recognized. In this paper, we proposed and implemented Renewable Iris Authentication Algorithm(RIAA) for biometrics in authentication system. This algorithm tries to present a new way to people identification, we show contour line when shift take photograph in regular side. Namely, it generate iris code based on boundary of projection or submergence side and compared to original, so that it describes iris identification method to people identification.

  • Recently the numbers of patent about the technology for mobile payment with Ie or bluetooth-chip are being increased more and more. The reasons of patent increment for mobile payment are advancement of wireless internet technology and rising of customer's request for it. The customer wants to be able to pay for purchase, tax and aid with own mobile phone. So every mobile service provider applies for patents about that competitively. And in the near future the biometrics is generalized in the mobile payment system. Especially the payment service of iris recognition is significant technique in this area for the future prospect. The biometrics of iris is an accurate authentication method because it has about 250 distinguish parameters to the finger print's 30. The biometrics of iris can recognize and identify a person for 2 seconds. But the image of iris is changed by transformation of body in the life. And the existing iris authentication system has problem that can be miss-recognized. In this paper, we propose the new method that reduces miss-recognizing rate with Renewable Iris Authentication Algorithm(RIAA) in mobile system.

  • As the security requirements of mobile phones have been increasing, there have been extensive researches using one biometric feature (e.g., an iris, a fingerprint, or a face image) for authentication. Due to the limitation of uni-modal biometrics, we propose a method that combines face and iris images in order to improve accuracy in mobile environments. This paper presents four advantages and contributions over previous research. First, in order to capture both face and iris image at fast speed and simultaneously, we use a built-in conventional mega pixel camera in mobile phone, which is revised to capture the NIR (Near-InfraRed) face and iris image. Second, in order to increase the authentication accuracy of face and iris, we propose a score level fusion method based on SVM (Support Vector Machine). Third, to reduce the classification complexities of SVM and intra-variation of face and iris data, we normalize the input face and iris data, respectively. For face, a NIR illuminator and NIR passing filter on camera are used to reduce the illumination variance caused by environmental visible lighting and the consequent saturated region in face by the NIR illuminator is normalized by low processing logarithmic algorithm considering mobile phone. For iris, image transform into polar coordinate and iris code shifting are used for obtaining robust identification accuracy irrespective of image capturing condition. Fourth, to increase the processing speed on mobile phone, we use integer based face and iris authentication algorithms. Experimental results were tested with face and iris images by mega-pixel camera of mobile phone. It showed that the authentication accuracy using SVM was better than those of uni-modal (face or iris), SUM, MAX, NIN and weighted SUM rules.

  • In this paper, we propose a technique to reconstruct the iris image from the iris code by analyzing the process of generating the iris code and calculating it inversely. Iris recognition is an authentication method for authenticating an individual's identity by using iris information of an eye having unique information of an individual. The iris recognition extracts the features of the iris from the iris image, creates the iris code, and determines whether to authenticate using the corresponding code. The iris recognition method using the iris code is a method proposed by Daugman for the first time and is widely used as a representative method of iris recognition technology currently used commercially. In this paper, we restore the iris image with only the iris code, and test whether the reconstructed image and the original image can be recognized, and analyze restoration vulnerability of Daugman's iris code.

  • In this paper, we analyze the characteristics and ATM applications for fingerprint, iris, vein recognition technology that can be applied to the ATM to reinforce security. Describe the important requirements to be considered when introducing a biometric authentication in the ATM, and were compared to each biometric authentication scheme based on these requirements. Fingerprint authentication has limitations in accuracy, iris recognition is a big weakness in user convenience, whereas vein recognition has the advantage of being hygienic, yet excellent accuracy and secrecy. Vein authentication approach is expected to be expanded to apply to ATM due to the many advantages.

  • The iris, a biometric information, is safe, unique, and reliable, such as fingerprints, and is personal information that can significantly lower the misrecognition rate than other biometric authentication. However, due to the nature of biometric authentication, it is impossible to replace it if it is stolen. There is a case in which an actual iris photo is taken and 3d printed so that the eyes work as if they were in front of the camera. As such, there is a possibility of iris leakage through high-definition images and photos. In this paper, we propose to improve iris masking performance by supplementing iris region masking research based on existing blurring techniques. Based on the results derived in this study, it is expected that it can be used for the security of video conference programs and electronic devices.

  • In this work, we present an iris pattern recognition method as a biometrically based technology for personal identification and authentication For this, we propose a new algorithm for extracting an unique feature from the iris of the human eye and representing this feature using the discrete Walsh-Hadamard transform. From the computational simplicity of the adopted transform, this can perform the personal identification and authentication in a fast manner to accomplish the information security.

  • Recently, incidents such as proxy surgery (unlicensed medical practice) have been reported in the media that threaten the safety of patients. Alternatives such as the introduction of operating room surveillance camera devices to prevent proxy surgery are emerging, but there are practical difficulties in implementing them due to strong opposition from the medical community. However, the social credibility of doctors is falling as incidents such as proxy surgery occur frequently. In this paper, we propose a medical staff identification system combining Beacon and iris recognition. The system adds reliability by operating on the blockchain network. The system performs primary identification by performing user authentication through iris recognition and proves that the medical staff is in the operating room through beacons. It also ensures patient trust in the surgeon by receiving beacon signals in the background and performing iris authentication at random intervals to prevent medical staff from leaving the operating room after only performing initial certification.

  • An anonymous authentication scheme allows a user to identify himself as a member of a group of users in a secure and anonymous way. It seems to be crucial and indispensable components in English auction, electronic voting and open procurement, which are getting very popular business areas in E-commerce. First, we briefly describe the previous anonymous authentication protocols how to work and what cryptographic techniques adopted to increase performance and achieve anonymity. Second, we compare those protocols from the viewpoint of the communication and computation complexity and the specific cryptographic techniques used in their protocols.
