  • A method using EI-GC-MS is described for the determination of amphetamines in hair. The method is applied to simultaneous quantify amphetamines (methamphetamine, amphetamine, MDMA and MDA). Drugs were extracted in 1 % HCl in methanol from hair. After derivertization with TFAA, the resulting drugs were separated on HP-5MS column during a 16 min program and identified by mass spectrometry with the SIM mode(EI-GC-MS). (omitted)

  • The insects and Benthic Macro-Invertebrates are very important for index of investigation. This reserch is executed a field investigation with a date analysis of the laboratory under such as above hypothesis and we have grasped the change of the creature according to the season through the executing of field investigation(We executed six times about the insects, seven times about the Benthic Macro-Inbertebrates each expending from Apr. to Oct. 2004). The result of summary in 2004 show that, we have grasped 12 orders 56 familys 116 species on 2001 and 10 orders 42 familys 78 species on 2002 through the investigation. Also we have grasped 13 orders 53 familys 114 species on 2003 and 12 orders 63 familys 121 speceies on 2004 through the investigation. In the case of enthic Macro-Invertebrates, we executed the analysis through the investigation result expending from 2003 to 2004 due to there is no literature investigation record from 2001 to 2002. We have grasped 8 orders 17 familys 24 species on 2003 and 7 orders 11 familys 24 species on Aug. 2004 through the investigation. We executed the analysis about an each condition due to it is difficult to compare the above result simply by the various variable at the investigation. We expect that it become the fundamental reference data to establish a efficient mode of life undo plan after grasped the inhabitation and movement route of creature inside the river through this reserch.

  • Hair analysis for drugs of abuse offers the crucial potential advantage when compared to urine, such as the longer time window of drug intake, which makes retrospective investigation of chronic and/or past consumption. This paper reviews the physiological basis of hair growth, mechanism of drug incorporation, analytical methods, result interpretation and practical application of hair analysis. Moreover, to facilitate the court's decision regarding specific circumstances surrounding the crime, this review demonstrated that the results of hair analysis not only should be admitted as scientific evidence of drug use but also could legally improve reliability of the evidence.

  • The purpose of this study was to provide the standard method for the analysis of organophosphorous pesticides such as chlorpyrifos, diazinon, malathion and parathion in blood. We performed method validation for these pesticides in blood according to EURACHEM (A focus For Analytical Chemistry in Europe) guide. For the analysis of the pesticides, we used solid-phase extraction ,column (Waters Oasis $HLB^{(R)}$. After the extraction, the supernatants were evaporated to dryness under the nitrogen stream. They were analyzed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) after reconstituting with ethanol. Terbufos was used as an internal standard. To validate this method, we performed verification procedures with the following parameters: selectivity, linearity of calibration, accuracy, precision, limit of detection and quantification. Validation data according to Eurachem guide were adequate for our purpose for the analysis of chlorpyrifos, diazinon, malathion and parathion in blood.

  • Widespread use of Internet despite numerous positive aspects resulted in increased number of system intrusions and the need for enhanced security mechanisms is urgent. Systematic collection and analysis of log data are essential in intrusion investigation. Unfortunately existing logs are stored in diverse and incompatible format thus making an automated intrusion investigation practically impossible. We examined the types of log data essential in intrusion investigation and implemented a tool to enable systematic collection and efficient analysis of voluminous log data. Our tool based on RBDMS and SQL provides graphical and user-friendly interface. We describe our experience of using the tool in actual intrusion investigation and explain how our tool can be further enhanced.

  • Environmental monitoring system has been adopted and supplemented as inspection measures for the quantitative and qualitative changes of environmental impact assessment (EIA). This study compares the results of environmental impact assessment with the results of post-environmental investigation using a correction and principal component analysis (PCA) in the housing development project. Correlation analysis showed that most of air quality variables including TSP, $PM_{10},\;NO_2$, CO were linearly correlated with each other in the environmental impact assessment and the post-environmental investigation. In the water quality, pH and BOD were well correlated with the DO and SS, respectively. As a result of correlation analysis in the noise and vibration, noise in day and night and vibration in day and night were related to each other between EIA and the post-environmental investigation. From the results of analysis of soil, Cu with Cd, Cu with Pb, and Cd with Pb were related to each other in EIA. Principal component analysis (PCA) showed a powerful pattern recognition that had attempted to explain the variance of a large dataset of inter-correlated variable with a smaller set of independent variables (principal components). Principal component (PC1) and principal component (PC2) were obtained with eigenvalues> 1 summing almost $90\%$ of the total variance in the all of the items(air, water, noise, vibration and soil) in EIA and post-environmental investigation.
