  • Further evaluation and modification were done on the new concepts plow (frontal plow), a plow which inverts the soil furrow without lateral displacement . First, kinematics of soil cutting section was analyzed and an experiment was conducted to report draft and power requirement. Second, function of main moldboards was examined and modification was made. As a result of the modification , force applied to the moldboard was reduced, but the furrow inversion became less stable.

  • This paper proposed a new modular inverse algorithm based on the right-shifting binary Euclidean algorithm. For an n-bit numbers, the number of operations for the proposed algorithm is reduced about 61.3% less than the classical binary extended Euclidean algorithm. The proposed algorithm implementation shows substantial reduction in computation time over Galois field GF(p).

  • 정확하게 EDF의 발광계수를 측정하는 방법을 개발하고 설계 제작된 광증폭기의 평탄한 이득 상태에서의 특성을 살펴보았다. 간단한 측정읕 통해 원하는 증폭 이득에서 이득이 평탄한 EDFA를 간편하게 설계할 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다.

  • A general optimal recovery problem is to approximate a value of a linear operator on a subset (class) in linear space from a value of another linear operator (called information), measured with an error in given metric. We use this formulation to investigate the classical computerized tomography problem of inversion of the noisy Radon transform.

  • The main purpose of this paper is using estimates for character sums and analytic methods to study the mean value involving the incomplete character sums, 2-th power mean of the inversion of Dirichlet L-function and general Kloosterman sums, and give four interesting asymptotic formulae for it.

  • This paper is to establish a functional equation satisfied by the generating function for counting rooted cubic c-nets and then to determine the parametric expressions of the equation directly. Meanwhile, the explicit formulae for counting rooted cubic c-nets are derived immediately by employing Lagrangian inversion with one or two parameters. Both of them are summation-free and in which one is just an answer to the open problem (8.6.5) in [1].

  • There has been considerable interest in recent years in field-responsive suspensions, which are of some importance in industry in many different applications. The microstructure of these materials is a significant issue which can be probed by rheological measurements. In this study, measurements were made of a magnetorheological fluid (MRF) under steady and oscillatory shear flow, with and without a magnetic field. Mathematical inversion was used to derive the relaxation time spectrum of the MRF from oscillatory shear data. Experimental evidence is presented of the gel-like properties of this MRF.

  • 밝고 바람이 없는 저녁, 지표근처의 냉각은 많고 일출 전후에 최저기온이 나타난다(Nishiyama, 1985). 그리고 기온은 지표근처에서 가장 낮고 고도가 높아질수록 높아진다. 이러한 상태를 지표역전(surface inversion) 또는 지면역전(ground inversion)이라 한다. 지표 역전층은 지표근처에 강한 복사냉각(radiative cooling)에 의해 형성되고, 다른 하나는 차가운 공기의 drainage에 의해 이류(advection) 되어 지표근처에 축적된다.(중략)

The Minimum PAPR Code for OFDM Systems

  • In this letter, a block code that minimizes the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals is proposed. It is shown that peak envelope power is invariant to cyclic shift and codeword inversion. The systematic encoding rule for the proposed code is composed of searching for a seed codeword, shifting the register elements, and determining codeword inversion. This eliminates the look-up table for one-to-one correspondence between the source and the coded data. Computer simulation confirms that OFDM systems with the proposed code always have the minimum PAPR.
