  • A quantitative performance evaluation of an intuitive robot teach method is presented. $\textbullet$ Teach times for two types of teach tasks are compared to the conventional teach pendant method. $\textbullet$ Teach tasks requiring a 4 DOF motion and a 6 DOF motion were tested. $\textbullet$ Compared to the teach pendant method, the proposed method reduce the teach times to 75% and 55%. $\textbullet$ The intuitive teach method is easier for the untrained robot users.

  • 인간은 주변 환경 속에서 경험하는 다양한 사물이나 대상을 유사관계를 기준으로 범주화하고 평가하는 인지적인 활동을 하고 있다. 이것은 인간을 둘러싼 모든 환경적 요소를 자신에게 의미있는 개념 단위로 이해하기 위한 필수적인 수단이라고 할 수 있다. 일반적으로 SD법(Semantic Differential Method)으로 대표되는 종래의 감성평가방법에서는 계측대상을 '집단적인' 경향으로 간주하여 독립적으로 평가판단을 하도록 요구하여 왔다. 그러나 이와 같은 SD법만으로는 인간의 유연한 유사성 판단능력을 평가에 반영하기에는 불충분하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 자극의 직감적 범주화와 각 범주 내에서의 대표-비대표사례의 유사성 판단을 기초로 한 계층적인 감성평가방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 평가방법의 유효성 검증을 위하여 감성적 소구력이 높은 장신구의 스캔화상을 실험자극으로 선정하여 감성평가실험을 실시하였다. 실험결과 직감적 범주화 작업, 대표사례의 선출, 대표사례의 평가득점을 비대표사례의 초기값으로 설정한 계층적인 감성평가방법은 종래의 SD법을보완할 수 있는 감성평가방법으로서의 근거가 마련되었다.

자동차 엔진음의 청각 감성 평가 척도 개발 (Development of Auditory Evaluation Scale in Automobile Engine Sound)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to develop a measurement scale for evaluating the auditory affect of automobile engine sounds. Methods: In order to collect affective vocabulary, literature review, user tests, and expert interviews were conducted. Affective vocabulary related to automobile engine sounds was selected through three methods. To develop the evaluation scale, open/close card-sorting and expert interview-based survey method was used. Results: The results of this study are as follows; In order to select the main affective vocabulary from the collected vocabulary, 39 vocabularies with a frequency of 5 or higher were selected as vocabulary expressing the main auditory affect of automobile engine sounds. Each affective vocabulary is divided into three di- mensions, it was confirmed that the conceptual model for the auditory affect of automobile engine sounds is composed of three levels: intuitive, descriptive, and evaluative of hierarchical structure. As a result of the study, four indices of intuitive dimension, seven indices of descriptive dimension, and one index of evaluative dimension were derived from the evaluation scale of the auditory affect in an automobile engine sound. Conclusion: The auditory evaluation scale developed in this study can be used to systematically measure and evaluate the auditory affect of automobile engine sounds.

Quantitative Evaluation of an Intuitive Teaching Method for Industrial Robot Using a Force/Moment Direction Sensor

  • A quantitative performance evaluation of a robot teaching method using a force/moment direction sensor is presented. The performance of the teaching method using the force/moment direction sensor is compared with the conventional teaching pendant method. Two types of teaching tasks were designed and the teaching times required to complete the teaching tasks were measured and compared. Task A requires a teaching motion that involves four degrees of freedom motion. Task B requires a teaching motion that involves six degrees of freedom motion. It was found that, by using the force/moment direction sensor method, the teaching times were reduced by 25% for Task A and 45% for Task B compared to the teaching pendant method.

  • 인상이나 감성적 기호가 구매에 영향을 주는 제품군의 디과인에 있어서는 사용자 시점으로부터의 감성적 평가를 디자인 프로세스의 보다 상류단계에서부터 실시하여 그 결과를 아이디어 스케치 개량을 위한 유효한 정보로서 피드백시킬 필요가 있다. 한편 감성적 평가에 있어서, SD법(의미미분척도법)으로 대표되는 종래의 이미지 평가에서는 계측대상을 [집단적인]경향으로 취급하여 독립적으로 판단을 하도록 요구되어져 왔다. 그러나 이러한 SD법적 평가만으로는 사물인지과정에 있어서 인간의 유연한 유사성 판단능력을 평가에 반영시키기에는 불충분하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는, 직감적 판단에 의한 자극의 분류와, 계층분석법 및 퍼지적분법에 기초를 둔 계층적 이미지 평가 방법을 제안하였다. 평가 프로세스는 평가 자극 및 평가 항목의 직감적 분류, 동일 카테고리 내에서의 대표예의 선정, 각 자극의 이미지평정, 피지적분법에 의한 우선도의 산출 등의 순서에 따라 진행되며, 이러한 평가 프로세스를 상호대화적인 환경하에서 수행하기 위한 평가지원용 소프트웨어를 개발하였다.

ESTIM : 사용자 직무지식에 기반한 인터페이스 평가 지원시스템 (ESTIM : A Support System for Task-based Evaluation of User Interface)

  • Evaluation of user interfaces has to be performed in an intuitive and subjective manner by experts especially when the problem comes to the complexity and consistency of sophisticated interface procedures. The manual analysis and evaluation of logical interfaces also tends to be slow and laborious. To make the evaluation more formal and objective, the criteria and the procedure with which the evaluation can proceed must be explicitly prescribed. Furthermore, to make the formal procedure as practical as subjective expert evaluation, the criteria must reflect the user knowledge of the target tasks since the task knowledge plays the role of a basis for users to understand the interface organizations and procedures. This paper describes ESTIM, a support system for task-based evaluation of user interface, that includes the interface evaluation criteria and implies an evaluation procedure. The support system can be used either in an interactive manner by the analyst during the evaluation or in an automatic evaluation mode. It was verified that the result of automatic evaluation by ESTIM matched the results of expert evaluation fairly well.

  • The SOC project such as road and railway performs a preliminary feasibility study according to the priority of the individual projects after establishing the master plans. For a preliminary feasibility study, feasibility evaluation should be performed according to the transport demand estimation and economic analysis. The feasibility of individual project will be performed by focussing on the results of analyzing economic feasibility. In case that analysis of the traffic demand and the economic feasibility every phase is performed, a lot of time and expense will be required in the course of promoting projects. So this study could give help to determine the priority of the project by intuitive method only in the phase to establish the master plan and a preliminary feasibility study.
