일 대학병원 간호사의 잔류의도 영향요인 (Affecting Factors on Intention to Stay of Nurses Working at a University Hospital)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore professional self-concept, work environment, resilience and intention to stay for nurses in university hospitals, and to identify the relationship between these variables and factors that influence intention to stay. We aimed to provide basic data to develop measures for increasing intention to stay. Methods: This study used a descriptive design, the subjects were nurses who worked for more than 1 year at a university hospital with 744 beds, located in city C. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire from 120 nurses. The data collection period were from September 15 to 30, 2020. The data were analysed using the SPSS/WIN 25.0 program. Results: There was a positive correlation between the subject's intention to stay and the professional self-concept (r=.57, p<.001), the nursing working environment (r=.29, p=.002), and resilience (r=.50, p<.001). Significant factors influencing the subject's intention to stay was the sense of satisfaction (β=.40, p<.001), a sub-factor of professional self-concept, indicating the higher the satisfaction level, the higher the intention to stay. The regression model explained 45.0% of the variance of the outcome variable (F=9.64, p<.001). Conclusion: Sense of satisfaction was identified as a factor impacting the intention to stay. Therefore, it is necessary to develop and to apply intervention programs to improve the satisfaction of the professional self-concept in order to increase the nurses' intention to stay.

중학생의 자기효능감, 건강증진행위의도 및 건강증진행위 (Self-Efficacy, Health Promotion Behavior Intention, and Health Promotion Behavior of Middle School Students)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this descriptive study was to investigate self-efficacy, health promotion behavior intention, and health promotion behavior in middle school students. Methods: The data were collected by a questionnaire given to the students. The participants for this study were 564 students from four middle school located in Busan. Descriptive statistics, t-test or ANOVA with Scheff$\acute{e}$ test and Pearson's Correlation Coefficients were used for data analysis with SPSS Win 18.0. Results: The level of self-efficacy and health promotion behavior intention was moderate. health promotion behavior was also relatively moderate. The score of health promotion behavior was affected by various general characteristics and health promotion behavior showed weakly positive correlation with self-efficacy, but there was no significant correlation between health promotion behavior intention and health promotion behavior. Conclusion: The findings from this study indicated a need to develop a nursing intervention program to promote health promotion behavior in middle school students including the promotion of self-efficacy.

여대생 체중조절 행동의도에 영향하는 요인: 계획적 행동이론 적용 (Factors affecting Weight-Control Behavior Intention in Female College Students: Based on the Theory of Planned Behavior)

  • Purpose: This study was carried out to find factors affecting weight-control behavior intention in female college students based on the theory of planned behavior. Methods: The subjects were 453 female students from everywhere other than the Gangwon Province and Jeju Island. Data were collected by using a questionnaire. Results: The factors affecting weight-control behavior intention in female college students within 2 weeks were attitudes and subjective norms. These two factors accounted for 20.0% of weight-control behavior intention. Also, when body shape satisfaction and BMI were added to variables of the theory of planned behavior like attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavior control, these 5 factors accounted for a total of 34.1%. Conclusion: Due to their distorted perception in preferring skinny body shapes, female college students are likely to attempt at inappropriate weight control behavior. Through intervention with such factors as attitudes and body image satisfaction, which have been derived from the results of this study, healthy weight control behavior should be pursued in practice.

기혼여성의 피임행위 예측을 위한 계획적 행위이론(Theory of Planned Behavior) 검증 연구 (Testing the Theory of Planned Behavior in the Prediction of Contraceptive Behavior among Married Women.)

  • The purpose of this study was to test the Theory of Planned Behavior in the prediction of contraceptive behavior among married women. This study used a descriptive correlational design to examine the relationships among the study variables. Eighty married women in Seoul and Kyungki-do participated in this study, Research instruments used were the tool for measuring TPB variables search as attitude toward contraception, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control, and intention ; and the tool for measuring contraceptive behavior. The former was modified by the researcher according to Ajzen & Fishbein(1980)'s guidelines for tool development and Jee (1993)'s tool. The latter was developed by the researcher Data was collected from July 20, 1996 to October 25, 1996. The results are as follows ; The three factors, attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavioral control of contraception can explain 30% of the variance in contraceptive intention. Inspection of path coefficient for each of the three predictor variables revealed that subjective norm and perceived behavioral control were the predictor variables on intention, while attitude was not. ; and intention and percevied behavioral control factors can explain 42% of the variance in contraceptive behavior. Inspection of path coefficient for each of the two predictor variables revealed that intention and perceived behavioral control were the predictor variables on behavior. In conclusion, this study identified that Theory of Planned Behavior was a useful model in the prediction of contraceptive behavior, and the contraceptive service program based on the TPB variables would be an effective nursing intervention for the change in contraceptive behavior.

여대생의 자궁경부암검사(Pap test) 행위의도 예측 경로모형 (A Prediction of Behavioral Intention on Pap Screening Test in College Women: A Path Model)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to predict the effects of behavioral intention on pap screening tests in unmarried college women using a path model. Methods: The study subjects were 216 university students and data were collected through self-report questionnaires including knowledge, attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, behavioral intentions to take the Pap test, and health responsibility. Results: Knowledge regarding the Pap test was moderate. The factors of knowledge, attitude, and perceived behavioral control negatively influenced the behavioral intention of the Pap test. However, the factors of subjective norms and health responsibility positively influenced behavioral intention. Conclusion: Subjective norms are the most importance factor to increase the intentions of the Pap test among unmarried college women. It is also necessary to eliminate barriers to undergoing pap testing, as well as to provide nursing intervention to obtain correct knowledge and a positive attitude regarding the Pap screening test.

간호사의 이직의도에 영향을 미치는 예측 요인 (The Risk Factors Influencing Turnover Intention of Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study was done to identify the risk factors influencing turnover intention of nurses. Method: The participants in this descriptive survey on causal relations were 756 nurses who were working at a tertiary university hospital in Seoul. The data were put in to multiple regression analysis to build a prediction model. Results: Turnover intention according to general features were shown as following.: Age, Clinical careers, Educational level, Marital status, Economic status(Yearly income). The relationship between turnover intention and job stress had positive correlation. But the relationship between turnover and other factors that job satisfaction, internal marketing, and organizational commitment had negative correlation. The causal factors of turnover intention were organizational commitment, the factors of organizational support and patient/caregiver relationships among subcategories of job stress and the factor of professional position among subcategories of job satisfaction. Conclusions: The findings of study suggest that board intervention program should be provided to prevent problems of turnover. It is also recommended that a program be developed that can help control the variables identified in this study along with follow up study to verify the model.

고환자가검진에 대한 소그룹 교육이 남자 대학생의 지식, 자기효능감 및 수행의도에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Small-Group Education for Testicular Self-Examination on Knowledge, Self-efficacy, and Performance Intention in Male College Students)

  • Purpose: This study examined the effects of Testicular Self-Examination (TSE) small-group education on knowledge, self-efficacy, and performance intention in male college students. Method: A non-equivalent pre-post test of quasi-experimental design was used. Out of 74 male college students selected by convenient sampling, 37 students were assigned to the experimental group and were given TSE small-group education. A 60-minute program consisted of lecture, demonstration, practice, discussion, and Q&A. Result: With an initial homogeneity between the two group, scores of knowledge about testicular cancer (p<.001), self-efficacy for TSE (p<.001), and performance intention of TSE (p<.01) of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group after the intervention. Conclusion: Small group education for TSE was effective in improving knowledge about testicular cancer, self-efficacy for TSE, and intention to perform TSE. Thus, this education program is considered to be useful for testicular cancer prevention and reproductive health promotion in male college students.

노인학대에 대한 인식과 신고의향: 간호사와 노인의 비교연구 (A Comparative Study of Perceptions and Intention to Report on Elder Abuse between Nurses and Elderlies)

  • Purpose: This study examined differences in perceptions and intention to report on elder abuse between nurses and elderlies. Methods: A cross-sectional survey design was used. The participants were 301 nurses and 326 elderlies (>60 years) living in Seoul. Data were collected by convenience sampling. The research instrument utilized in this study to measure perceptions and intention to report were 11 of 12 scenarios adapted by Yoo & Kim from Moon and Williams(1993). Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, Chi-Square and Pearson's correlation. Results: The mean score of perceptions on elder abuse was 3.11 for nurses and 2.98 for elderlies. The most severely perceived type of abuse was sexual abuse, followed by physical abuse, neglect, financial abuse, and emotional abuse. Statistically significant group differences were evident in perceptions of elder abuse in six of the scenarios and in all scenarios for intention to report. Conclusions: Differences in perceptions and intention to report on elder abuse between nurses and elderlies should be considered in developing effective measures in prevention and intervention of elder abuse.

A Study on the Influence of Role Factors of Life Workers at Local Children's Centers on Turnover Intention

  • 본 연구의 목적은 지역아동센터 생활복지사들의 역할요인과 이직의도와의 관계를 검증하여 생활복지사의 합리적인 업무상 역할을 제안하여 이직의도를 낮출 수 있는 개입 방안을 제시하는데 있다. 분석을 위해 지역아동센터에 근무하는 생활복지사를 대상으로 구글 독스(google docs)를 활용하여 자료를 수집하고 221케이스를 분석하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 역할요인의 하위 변인 중에서 역할갈등이 생활복지사의 이직의도를 높이는 것으로 나타났으며, 둘째, 역할과중이 생활복지사의 이직의도를 높이는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 기초로 정책적·실천적 함의를 제안하였다.

건강신념모델에 기반한 초등학생의 코로나19 예방접종에 대한 어머니의 접종의도에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Associated Intention of Mothers regarding COVID-19 Vaccination for Elementary School Students based on the Health Belief Model)

  • Purpose: Based on the Health Belief Model, this study aimed to identify factors influencing on COVID-19 vaccination intention of mothers with elementary school children by examining the relationships between perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, perceived benefit, perceived barrier, cue to action, and perceived self-efficacy. Methods: Mothers with elementary school children were recruited from three elementary schools. An online survey was conducted of 130 mothers in November, 2021. Results: As a result, the factors influencing on vaccination intention were perceived self-efficacy (β=.33), perceived susceptibility (β=.18), perceived benefit (β=.16), and perceived barrier (β=-.17). Conclusion: Based on our findings, there is a need to develop a tailored nursing intervention that enhances perceived self-efficacy, perceived susceptibility and perceived benefit while decreasing perceived barrier in order to improve vaccination intention.
