Interoperating Methods of Heterogeneous Networks for Personal Robot System (퍼스널 로봇을 위한 이기종 네트웍 운용 방안)

  • Personal Robot System in developing, have a module architecture, each module are connected through variety network system like ethernet, WLAN (802.11), IEEE 1394 (firewire), bluetooth, CAN, or RS-232C. In developing personal robot system. We think that the key of robot performance is interoperablity among modules. Each network protocol are well connected in the view of network system for the interoperability. So we make a bridging architecture that can routing converting, and transporting packets with matching each network's properties. Furthermore, we suggest a advanced design scheme for realtime / non-realtime and control signal (short, requiring hard-realtime) / multimedia data (large, requiring soft-realtime).

Ubiscript: A Script Language for Ubiquitous Environment

  • Many distributed and heterogeneous services and devices are accessible in ubiquitous computing environment, so interoperating those services and devices is one of the key tasks in implementing ubiquitous applications. We used to use script languages in integrating such interoperating components and services. However currently available most script languages are not suitable for ubiquitous environment because there are so diverse forms of interoperation targets such as service objects, web, legacy objects and programmable devices. So it is worthwhile designing a new script language well-suited to ubiquitous environment. In this paper, we propose a new script language, called Ubiscript, for the ubiquitous environment. We develop and adopt several unique language features such as remote scope, multiple contexts, web and legacy objects, remote exception handling, etc. in Ubiscript to overcome the limitations of conventional script languages. In this paper, we also describe the implementation of Ubiscript and its runtime system. A couple of ubiquitous applications were developed in Ubiscript, and the applications are tested on the runtime system. According to our experiences and evaluation, Ubiscript turned out to have a high potential in its expression power and contribution to improving ubiquitous application developers' productivity.

  • 컴퓨터 상에서 차량의 실제 주행 환경을 모사하는 자동차 시뮬레이터 시스템은 운전자와의 상호작용이 요구되는 다양한 운전 보조 장비에 대해 그 성능과 기능을 미리 검토할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 네비게이션 단말기를 가상현실 기반 자동차 시뮬레이터 시스템에 적용하기 위한 연동 기술에 대해 알아 보았으며, 간단한 네비게이션 단말기와 시뮬레이터 시스템을 개발하여 이들의 연동을 위한 데이터 처리 방법을 소개하였다.

LVC-Interoperation Development Framework for Acquiring High Reliable Cyber-Physical Weapon Systems (고신뢰 사이버-물리 무기체계 획득을 위한 LVC 연동 개발 프레임워크)

  • In this paper, we present a development framework for acquiring intelligent but complex cyber-physical weapon systems based on modeling and simulation development tools for cyber-physical systems, EcoSUITE. We introduce EcoPOD that models weapon systems and EcoSIM that provides constructive simulation environment for interoperating the weapon model to be developed with other weapon models. To develop cyber-physical weapon system based on LVC interoperation, an interoperation architecture and an interface technique for a live and a virtual system that is compliant with the interoperation architecture. By expanding EcoSuite, we provide LVC-based development framework for interoperating a real system, a human-interactive interface system, and simulation models and validate it with a case study.

  • Uniview system is a client-server system that runs on heterogeneous distributed systems and supports the debugging of various kinds of programs. Its client system provides a unified debugging concept and interface on various debuggers of heterogeneous hosts. Its server system provides debugging services and features openness and scalability by interoperating with one or more debugger processes existing on the same host. Based on FSF(Free Software Foundation)'s gdb and Sun Microsystems's dbx. Uniview system supports C/C++ programming language in various UNIX environments as well as Windows environments. The proposed system was designed and implemented to support the JAVA language, which is prevalently used in recent heterogeneous distributed systems and was partly extended to make a clear analysis of JAVA class file structure. Sun Microsystems's Jdb supplied as a JAVA debugger has very limited functions compared to other programming language debugger. In this paper, Uniview as a JAVA debugging system was implemented to provide debugging technologies which are necessary to debug Java applications but missing in current JAVA language as well as to provide its users with various information.

A Study on a Simulation Model to Analyze the Availability of a SoS (복합시스템 가용도 분석을 위한 시뮬레이션 모델 연구)

  • Today, most weapon systems operate as component systems of SoS(System of Systems) and they produce synergy effects in the battle field by interoperating. In addition, the acquisition issues on weapon systems have expanded into SoS context including sustainment analysis. Availability is the sustainment KPP(Key Performance Parameter) of weapon systems. In this paper, a simulation model is proposed to analyze the availability of SoS. The simulation model consists of 5 modules: Mission and Task, System, System RBD, Maintenance system and a simulation engine. Then it was implemented and applied to a SoS. As a result of the application, the simulation model could be applied for analyzing the availability of the SoS and provided information about critical tasks and risky component systems to complete the given mission of the SoS.

  • CPS는 소프트웨어 시스템에 의해 제어되는 물리적인 디바이스들의 결합으로 엄격한 실시간 및 물리적인 자원의 제약속에서 작업을 수행한다. CPS가 다양한 분야에 응용되기 때문에 이기종 CPS 간의 통합문제도 종종 일어나게 된다. 본 논문에서는 이기종 CPS들의 상호작용을 위해 상호운용성이 높은 웹서비스 기법을 도입한다. 제안기법은 CPS 디바이스를 서비스로 추상화하여 상호운용성을 높이는 방식을 적용하였으며, CPS 디바이스를 지원하기 위해 기존 웹서비스 구조에 서비스 브로커를 추가한다. 제안기법의 서비스 브로커는 CPS 디바이스와의 의미론적 상호 운용성뿐만 아니라 수집된 정보 통합 및 서비스 합성과 디바이스 관리를 수행한다.

  • 국방 분야의 시스템 개발은 다양한 데이터표준 및 프로토콜로 인해 체계 간 상호 연동에 어려움이 있다. 특히, 다양한 아키텍처가 적용되는 LVC 연동훈련 체계는 적용 프로토콜 간 데이터 교환을 위해서 공통의 표준기술이 필요하다. 본 논문은 이러한 이기종 체계들 간 상호 연동을 위해서 객체 모델 변환 프레임워크를 제시하였다. 제안 프레임워크는 다양한 이기종 체계가 가지는 객체 모델들과 프로토콜들을 구분하여 독립적으로 연동할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한, 체계 간의 종속성을 줄이고 구성 요소의 유연한 설계를 제공하기 위해서 3-Part 지원 모듈의 플러그인 방식 구조로 설계하였다.

  • The acquisition of foreign government documents by exchange or gift is problematic in the electronic government era because the pattern of distributing system is changed. The alternatives for the collection development are developing the meta-site and establishing the subject gateways for the foreign government information as the resource discovery tools. The anchor and link functions of the AltaVista are used to evaluate a meta-site. The Scout Project Isaac is suggested as the model of interoperating resource discovery services for the geographically distributed metadata databases.

  • As the embedded systems closely related with our living become complex by interoperating each other via internet, the safety issue of embedded systems begins to appear For checking safety properties of the system interactions, it is necessary to describe the system behaviors in formal methods and provide a systematic safety analysis technique. In this research, the behaviors of an embedded system are described by Labeled Transition Systems(LTS) and its safety properties are checked on the system model. For enhancing the existing compositional safety analysis technique, we perform the safety analysis techniques by checking the behavioral equivalence of the reduced model and a property model after reducing the system model in the viewpoint of the property.
