서비스 지향 아키텍처는 하나의 실체가 다른 하나의 실체를 대신해 단위 작업을 수행하도록 하는 방식으로 두 개의 컴퓨팅 실체가 상호작용 하는 방법을 정의한다. 이 단위 작업은 "서비스"라고 지칭되며, 이 서비스 상호작용들은 독립적이고 느슨한 결합을 가져야 한다. SOA의 이러한 특징인 느슨한 결합과, 높은 상호운영성의 효과는 서로 다른 이용자들이 서로 다른 방식으로 서비스와 의사소통을 하기 위해 얼마나 유연한 메시지 통신이 가능한가에 따라 결정된다. 본 논문에서는 .NET Framework를 이용한 WCF 기반의 메시징 프레임워크와 통합된 데이터 표현 방식을 이용하여 서비스 지향 아키텍처를 기반으로 한 웹 서비스 애플리케이션과 일반적인 웹 서비스에 대해 애플리케이션의 응답 성능 및 시스템의 안정성과 성능 지수를 비교 분석하였으며 그 결과를 통하여 WCF를 이용한 SOA환경의 웹 서비스가 가지는 장점을 확인하였다.

Parallel and distributed simulation is concerned with the efficient execution of large-scale discrete event simulation models on multiprocessors and distributed platforms. After the development of WWW, many efforts in the parallel and distributed simulation have been made for modeling, particularly building simulation languages and creating model libraries that can be assembled and executed over WWW. However, web-based parallel and distributed simulation is restricted by heterogeneous computing environments. Recently, the advent of XML and web services technology has made these efforts enter upon a new phase. Especially, the web services as a distributed information technology have demonstrated powerful capabilities for scalable interoperation of heterogeneous systems. This paper aims to develop and evaluate the parallel and distributed simulation using the web services technology. In particular, a prototype multi-pass simulation framework is implemented using Java-based web services technology. It focuses on the efficiency of multi-pass simulation used for optimization through the distribution of simulation replication to several simulation service providers. The development of parallel and distributed simulation using web services will help solve efficiently large-scale problems and also guarantee interoperability among heterogeneous networked systems.

웹 서비스 애플리케이션의 개발은 변화하는 다양한 이질적인 시스템간의 상호 운영성과 유지가 필수적이고, 사용자 측면의 변경 없이 비즈니스 환경의 변경이 가능하도록 시스템의 확장성과 유연성 및 기존 웹 서비스 애플리케이션을 이용한 재사용 성이 제공되어져야 한다. 따라서 웹 서비스 애플리케이션 개발을 위한 CBD(Component Based Development) 적용은 시스템 구축을 위한 자연스런 기술 및 방법론으로 기존의 설계, 구조, 유지보수의 문제점의 해결책으로 제시되고, 웹 분산 환경을 기반 한 웹 서비스를 동적으로 빠른 시간에 릴리즈 가능하게 한다 본 논문에서는 웹 응용 서버 및 모바일 응용 서버 시스템을 위해 개발된 보안 프레임워크의 설계 및 구현과 관련된 컴포넌트를 식별하여 아키텍처에 맞게 계층화시키고, 기존의 UML을 기반으로 웹서비스의 특성을 반영하여 적용 가능한 모델링을 제시한다. 제안된 보안 프레임워크는 레거시 보안 시스템과의 연동, J2EE 보안 지원, JAAS 지원, Kerberos 지원 등 응용 서버 시스템들이 요구하는 다양한 보안 기능을 제공하도록 컴포넌트화 특징을 가진다.

Recently, smart home environments which provide complex services through smart appliances are becoming realized, due to the advances in connected devices and network technologies. Current smart home environments are mostly restricted, because of difficultly of integration of heterogeneous smart appliances. Therefore radical service integration is impracticable. In this paper, we analyze and implement Machine-to-Machine (M2M) standards which are established by European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) for integrating heterogeneous devices and services. Smart Home is one of the areas covered by ETSI M2M standards, however these standards are just standardized, so adaption and assessment in smart home are not proved yet. Therefore, this paper analyze ETSI M2M standards by focusing the data transport model and evaluate by selecting the most commonly used smart home scenarios and by implementing ETSI M2M standards compatible smart metering system. In some points ETSI M2M standards are not efficient because of its complexity of structure, however ETSI M2M provides sophisticated features for integrating M2M which are appropriate to adopt diverse smart home environments.

분산 컴퓨팅 기술과 객체지향 기술의 발전은 인터넷상의 동일 기종간의 분산처리뿐만 아니라, 이 기종간에도 분산 컴퓨팅이 가능한 분산 객체 컴퓨팅으로 발전되었다. 이를 대표하는 CORBA(Comm on Object Request Broker Architecture)도 단지 네트워크를 통한 이기종간의 상호 운용성만을 해결한 상태이며, 대부분 서버 객체의 존재 및 정상적인 활동이 보장되지만 네트워크 오버헤드가 발생하는 경우에는 클라이언트의 서비스 요구에 응할 수 없는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하는 방안 중 하나로, 데이터와 코드를 결합한 객체를 직접 이동하는 이동에이전트(Mobile Agent)를 분산 컴퓨팅 기술과 결합하는 방법이 대두되고 있다.

With the introduction to ebXML and web service related standards, enterprises struggle to adapt to the rapidly evolving technology to meet the complex needs of the enterprise customer. The ability to integrate and interoperate individual services within enterprise and with other enterprise's information technology infrastructure using standard-based business processes is an important element of business process management system. For over 25 years EDI has established VAN based solution of exchanging business information in electronic form. However EDI solutions are only accessible to large organizations due to the cost factor. Moreover lack of well accepted B2B business process standards is hindering the success of promoting interoperability between organizations of any size. ebXML work is focused on defining the standard B2B business process context and its runtime semantics in order to remove these hindrances. However ebXML framework does not recommend any particular implementation model to interact with enterprise internal system. This paper propose a end to end business process management architecture by applying ebXML in the front end of the enterprise system and using BPEL to integrate front end services into related services within enterprise.

An efficient management of product information is critical to the enhancement of corporate competitiveness. Product information is often distributed in term of organization, geography, and time. With the rapid increase in the use of Internet or its associated Web and intranets, it has been accelerating to integrate the distributed information. In this research, a Distributed, Open, Intelligent Product data Management system, namely DOI-PDM, is developed. This system deals with product information following the STEP standard, and its operation is controlled by a Web-based workflow management system. CORBA is employed to ensure interoperability among distributed objects. It is intended to achieve openness by using various standards, such s STEP, KQML, SGML, and WfMC specifications. One major difficulty in managing it needs also be properly modified according to the dynamics. It however is very hard to have a prior anticipation to the dynamics. It however is very hard to have a prior anticipation to the modification requirements in practice. We introduce a process adaptation model and a use of intelligent agent technology. An agent is delegated to modify process definitions during run-time. A method of agent implementation and a proper communication scheme among te agents are proposed. Also developed in this research is a STEP-based content search system which can co-work with the agents by providing relevant product information that the agents require.

Parametric modeling is one of BIM's characteristics and BIM have being utilized for constructability analysis, energy efficiency analysis, and so on in diverse construction field. However, parametric information's interoperation is not solved until now because different BIM tools have specific algorithm and methods to generate geometric information. To solve the problem, previous research suggested IFC-XML methodology. In this paper, authors studied connections between IFC-XML structure and script-based modeling commends to make libraries in commercial BIM tools such as ArchiCAD$^{TM}$ and Digital Project$^{TM}$. In addition, they made commends mapping tables to exchange geometry information of architectural components. Moreover, mapping system was developed to certify the mapping tables which is classified modeling commends. Finally, translated architectural component model was confirmed using exchanged geometry information in browser.

The development of health information technology enables people to access, view and acquire personal health record. But still, there have been a number of obstacles such as the absence of the standard to realize the ideal Personal Health Record(PHR) system. In this study, we proposed the service model that serves periodic Health Record Summary which is made by a medical specialist to people who are in the busy lives. Healthcare data from EMR in a hospital including people generate themselves at home is sent to a physician to make a medical opinion, and then it is changed into Health Level 7 Continuity of Care Document(CCD) format for interoperability. After a physician writes his opinion about patient's health condition, it will send to people by email. People who receive the health record summary data by email can save them into a USB device to view own PHR and medical comments of a physician through a computer. It will help people managing their own health condition with an opinion of a medical specialist.

오늘날의 제품개발환경은 분산환경에 존재하는 다양한 역량을 가진 참여자들의 협업을 요구하고 있으며, 협업은 참여자들이 필요로 하는 제품개발관련 정보들의 실시간 교환을 지원할 수 있도록 제품정보 간 상호운용성 확보를 기반으로 한다. STEP으로 알려진 ISO 10303은 제품개발의 전체적인 라이프사이클에서 필요한 제품정보의 표현과 공유 및 교환을 위한 대표적인 표준이다. 하지만 STEP을 이용하기 위해서는 각 도메인이 표준인 STEP 모델에 기반하여 제품정보를 모델링 하여야 한다. 그러나 대부분의 도메인은 자신의 목적에 따라 특화된 모델을 정의하고 사용하기 때문에 도메인에 특화된 형태의 제품정보모델을 STEP 모델로 변환할 수 있는 추가적인 메커니즘이 필요하다. 즉, STEP은 참조모델보다는 모든 도메인에서 제품정보모델링을 위해 사용가능한 표준의 정의에 초점을 맞춘다. 그러므로 참조모델로서의 STEP을 기반으로 다양한 도메인 특화된 제품정보모델 간 상호운용성 확보를 지원하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 STEP 제품정보모델의 시맨틱스를 체계적으로 정의할 수 있도록 온톨로지 구축을 통한 컨셉추얼 모델링을 수행한다. 컨셉추얼 모델링은 STEP 모델에 정확하고 완전한 의미를 부여하여, 다양한 도메인 특화된 모델 사이의 상호운용성 확보를 지원하고 참조모델로서 STEP의 능력을 확장한다.
