Visible Light Communication, which is promising as a next generation near field wireless communications, has been increased study and application case due to the development of LED technology. However, there are few application cases to IoT service due to the necessity of separate equipment for communication and limitation of light transmission to obstacles. In this paper, it propose a portable VLC transceiver module that can be connected to USB OTG and dedicated application for control to realization position possible necessary technique. The string input from the dedicated application is sent to the VLC module via USB OTG to transmit and receive data between the modules. As string transmission experiment result, it is confirmed that ASCII code transmission between VLC transceiver modules is possible through control of the implemented dedicated application.

Many services have been developed that are based on smart devices, and security between devices is emphasized. A beacon on the current IoT(Internet of Things) services has been utilized in the commercial field and is being applied to the services of the home IoT. On the other hand, the beacon is weak to security using Bluetooth-based services. Therefore, it is important to strengthen the security of the beacon. This paper proposes a dual security technique that can enhance the security of beacon-based services. The dual security architecture and security process is proposed based on beacon and authentication service. In addition, mobile application was developed and validated based on the beacon for proving the suitability of the proposed technique. The experimental method for verification are the authentication failure case, such as 1st authentication fail, and authentication success case, such as 1st authentication success and 2nd authentication success. The components of the verification experiments consists of two beacons (matched with Beacon ID, mismatched with Beacon ID), one mobile device and authentication application. This was tested to verify the compatibility of the dual security architecture and 1st/2nd authentication process.

Cryptography implementation over lightweight Internet of Things (IoT) device needs to provide an accurate and fast execution for high service availability. However, adversaries can extract the secret information from the lightweight device by analyzing the unique features of computation in the device. In particular, modern ARM Cortex-M3 processors perform the multiplication in different execution timings when the input values are varied. In this paper, we analyze previous multiplication methods over ARM Cortex-M3 and provide optimized techniques to accelerate the performance. The proposed method successfully accelerates the performance by up-to 28.4% than previous works.

This paper constructs a real-time monitoring system that can identify the individual positions of infants and their proximity to other infants using an Internet of Things (IoT)-based nameplate. The system consists of a precision location tracking module, a data transmission system for calculating gateway location information, a service platform server, and a data analysis processing module considering the development of infants and young children. The purpose of this study is to extract information about how infants interact with each other. The information gathered through this system can be used as important information to improve the peer relations of all infants and toddlers, from neglected infants to infants with no social development problems, to more popular infants. It is possible, based on the proximity information between infants and toddlers, that the teacher can identify positive interactions or negative interactions, and can educate infants on how to improve their peer relationships. These results can be used for consultation with parents, and the information collected through this system can be used as a database to establish a system for improving the relationships between infants and toddlers.
The purpose of this study is to develop an intelligent parking dispatching system based on LoRa network technology. During the local festival, many tourists come into the festival site simultaneously after sunset. To handle the traffic jam and parking dispatching, many traffic management staffs are engaged in the main road to guide the cars to available parking lots. Nevertheless, the traffic problems are more serious at the peak time of festival. Such parking dispatching problems are complex and real-time traffic information dependent. We used Queuing theory to predict inbound traffics and to measure parking service performance. Q-learning algorithm is used to find fastest routes and dispatch the vehicles efficiently to the available parking lots.
Recently, preparations for 6G have led to the increasing interest in integrated or hybrid communication networks considering low-orbit satellite communication networks with terrestrial mobile communication networks. In addition, the demand for frequency allocation for new mobile services from low-orbit small satellites to provide global internet of things (IoT) services is increasing. The operation of such satellites and terrestrial mobile communication networks may inevitably cause interference in adjacent bands and the same band frequency between satellites and terrestrial systems. Focusing on the results of the recent ITU-R WP4C meeting, this study introduces the current status of frequency sharing and interference issues between satellites and terrestrial systems, and frequency allocation issues for new mobile satellite operations. Coexistence and compatibility studies with terrestrial IMT in L band and 2.6 GHz band, operated by Inmassat and India, respectively, and a new frequency allocation study (WRC-23 AI 1.18) are carried out to reflect satellite IoT demand. For the L band, technical requirements have been developed for emission from IMT devices at 1,492 MHz to 1,518 MHz to bands above 1,518 MHz. Related studies in the 2 GHz and 2.6 GHz bands are not discussed due to lack of contributions at the recent meeting. In particular, concerning the WRC-23 agenda 1.18 study on the new frequency allocation method of narrowband mobile satellite work in the Region 1 candidate band 2,010 MHz to 2,025 MHz, Region 2 candidate bands 1,695 MHz to 1,710 MHz, 3,300 MHz to 3,315 MHz, and 3,385 MHz to 3,400 MHz, ITU-R results show no new frequency allocation to narrow mobile satellite services. Given the expected various collaborations between satellites and the terrestrial component are in the future, interference issues between terrestrial IMT and mobile satellite services are similarly expected to continuously increase. Therefore, participation in related studies at ITU-R WP4C and active response to protect terrestrial IMT are necessary to protect domestic radio resources and secure additional frequencies reflecting satellite service use plans.
As a way to further expand and enable the 5G ecosystem, the $3^{rd}$ Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) is considering the development of a 5G new radio (NR)-based non-terrestrial network (NTN). These NTNs are expected to provide ubiquitous 5G services to user's equipment (especially, in Internet of Things/machine-type communications (IoT/MTC) public safety, and critical communications) by extending service coverage to areas not covered by 5G terrestrial networks. To this end, this NTN is developing scenarios to provide 5G services using spaceborne vehicles, such as geosynchronous and low-Earth orbit satellites, and airborne vehicles, such as unmanned aircraft systems, including high-altitude pseudo-satellites. In addition, various technologies are being studied to satisfy new requirements not considered in 5G NR, such as long propagation delay time, large cell coverage, large Doppler effect, and base station movement. In this paper, we present the scenarios, requirements, technical issues and solutions, and standardization planning for NR-based NTN in 3GPP.

Cloud manufacturing is a new concept of manufacturing process that works like a single factory with connected multiple factories. The cloud manufacturing system is a kind of large-scale CPS that produces products through the collaboration of distributed manufacturing facilities based on technologies such as cloud computing, IoT, and virtualization. It utilizes diverse and distributed facilities based on centralized information systems, which allows flexible composition user-centric and service-oriented large-scale systems. However, the cloud manufacturing system is composed of a large number of highly heterogeneous subsystems. It has difficulties in interconnection, data exchange, information processing, and system verification for system construction. In this paper, we derive the user requirements of various aspects of the cloud manufacturing system, such as functional, human, trustworthiness, timing, data and composition, based on the CPS Framework, which is the analysis methodology for CPS. Next, by analyzing the user requirements we define the system requirements including scalability, composability, interactivity, dependability, timing, interoperability and intelligence. We map the defined CPS system requirements to the requirements of oneM2M, which is the platform standard for IoT, so that the support of the system requirements at the level of the IoT platform is verified through Mobius, which is the implementation of oneM2M standard. Analyzing the verification result, finally, we propose a large-scale cloud manufacturing platform based on oneM2M that can meet the cloud manufacturing requirements to support the overall features of the Cloud Manufacturing CPS with dependability.
Korean government has planned to increase the productivity of horticultural crops and to expand supply smart greenhouse for energy saving by modernization of horticultural facilities based on ICT in policy. However, the diversity and linkages of monitoring and control are significantly insufficient in the agricultural sector in the current situation. Therefore, development of a service system with smart-farm based on the internet of things(IoT) for intelligent systemization of all the process of agricultural production through remote control using complex algorithm for diverse monitoring and control is required. In this study, domestic and international research trend related to ICT-based horticultural facilities was briefly introduced and limits were analyzed in the domestic application of the advanced technology. Finally, future core technologies feasible to graft in agricultural field were reviewed.
The research objectives investigates main research topics and trends in the information and communication technology(ICT) field, Korea using LDA(Latent Dirichlet Allocation), one of the topic modeling techniques. The experimental dataset of ICT research and development(R&D) project of 5,200 was acquired through matching with the EZone system of IITP after downloading R&D project dataset from NTIS(National Science and Technology Information Service) during recent five years. Consequently, our finding was that the majority research topics were found as intelligent information technologies such as AI, big data, and IoT, and the main research trends was hyper realistic media. Finally, it is expected that the research results of topic modeling on the national R&D foundation dataset become the powerful information about establishment of planning and strategy of future's research and development in the ICT field.
