  • 본 논문에서는 AR 매뉴얼을 이용한 신속한 조립 정보 제공 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 정보 제공 방법이 기존의 웹이나 BOOK 매뉴얼을 이용한 방법과 비교하여 사용자에게 얼마나 효과적인지를 실제 실험을 통하여 검토된다. 특히 가장 널리 보급된 개인용 컴퓨터 하드웨어 부품에 대한 실험이 제안된 방법의 타당성 검토를 위하여 고찰된다. 기존의 웹과 BOOK 매뉴얼을 이용한 실험과 비교해 보았을 때 제안한 방법이 매우 효율적인 성능을 나타내었다.

Educational Use of IPTV: Issues and Future Directions

  • National support for use of IPTV in school has increased for the purpose of enhancing public education. As a convergence media, IPTV is expected to create a better and more successful learning experience with individualized content and advanced technology. While the potential benefits of IPTV have been discussed in different perspectives, we cannot fully benefit from new media without careful preparation and pedagogical consideration. Therefore, purpose of this study was to investigate educational use and applicability of IPTV in Korea. First, it redefines the concept and characteristics of IPTV in an educational context. Second, it identifies the main issues and considerations in practice. Lastly, the paper discusses guidelines for future tasks to facilitate the educational use of IPTV in terms of educational application, technological issues (e.g., LMS, set-top box), and content development.

  • Information network technologies introduce a new education environment. Cyber education is growing rapidly as a field of practice especially in distance education system. The development of multimedia environment based on such technology as graphics, image, voice, and video, personal computer systems use has become the media for interactive teaching-teaming service. These features have made integrated multimedia education feasible. This research suggested a direction for the development of an interactive distance education system. I have developed an education system which cooperate problem bank and learning system. This system support arbitration of the relative difficulty in the problem bank database. An ongoing version of this research was evaluated. Those findings reveal several factors that influence how the proposed system can be tailored to the students' perspectives in order to come up with the enhanced version of this system.

Survey of Parents and Kindergarten Teachers on their Educational Needs Regarding the Prevention of Infectious Diseases in Children (부모와 유치원교사의 어린이 감염예방 및 교육요구도 조사)

  • Objectives : This study was conducted to examine the educational status and needs of both parents and kindergarten teachers pertaining to the prevention of infectious diseaes in children. Methods : The participants were 280 parents and 147 kindergarten teachers. Data were collected from August 21, 2013 to December 30, 2014. Results : Only 16.7% of parents had educational experience with infectious diseases. The source of their education was broadcast media and their preferred educational method was the internet. Parents reported that the childhood infection about which they should be educated were influenza (30.4%) followed by hand-foot-and-mouth disease (13.9%), food poisoning (6.4%), and so on. About 27.2% of kindergarten teachers had received an education about infectious diseases, and the major source of their education was refresher training. The teachers' preferred educational method was the internet. The teachers wanted to be educated about influenza (22.4%), hand-foot-and-mouth disease (20.4%), food poisoning (20.4%) and so on. Conclusions : Educational programs should be developed and applied to children, parents and kindergarten teachers based on consideration of their educational needs.

Comparison of Autonomous Learning Effectiveness between Cyber Study and Off-line Learning (사이버학습과 인쇄 매체 학습의 자율적 학습 효과성 비교)

  • The purpose of this paper is to compare the learning effectiveness of autonomous learning between on-line cyber learning using Internet media and off-line learning using printed media. In this study, each group is provided with the same learning contents and the same learning conditions. For autonomous learning the results revealed a significant difference between on-line cyber learning being not as effective as off-line learning. In order to improve the effectiveness of on-line cyber learning the negative aspects have been identified. These findings will help to improve the development of on-line learning effectiveness.

  • It should be given the opportunity to acquire information about the health of infants for a new type of way of life with the passage of time, of which the internet is a lot of people are required to use the media in the modern world. So, we want to find out the status of kindergarten teachers' internet utilizing and how to utilize the internet health information on field. The purpose of this study is to explore the direction of improvement. We produce this research based on a precedent study about perception and actual condition of health information utilizing. The objects of this study are 180 kindergarten teachers working in Dae-jeon and most of them have experience of searching health information through internet. The collected data calculated frequency and percentage with SPSS 18.0 program. As a result, first, kindergarten teachers think the information of infants' health is relatively important, still they obtain it from the Internet. But they feel a difficulty in finding the proper information because it takes so much time. Second, they utilize the Internet whenever necessary to find health information and they could find it. However, health information obtained from the Internet, have not been unexpectedly useful. Therefore, training about the content of infant's health and utilizing method of internet health information is needed.

  • The traditional mass media function of conveying information and forming public opinion has rapidly changed into an environment in which information and opinions are shared through social media with the development of ICT technology, and such social media further strengthens its influence. In other words, it has been confirmed that the influence of the public opinion through the production and sharing of public opinion on political, social and economic changes is increasing, and this change is already in use on the political campaign. In addition, efforts to grasp and reflect the opinions of the public by utilizing social media are being actively carried out not only in the political area but also in the public area. The purpose of this study is to explore the possibility of using social media based public opinion in educational policy. We collected media data, analyzed the main topic and probability of occurrence of each topic, and topic trends. As a result, we were able to catch the main interest of the public(the 'Domestic Computer Education Time' accounted for 43.99%, and 'Prime Project Selection' topics was 36.81% and 'Artificial Intelligence Program' topics was 7.94%). In addition, we could get a suggestion that flexible policies should be established according to the timing of the curriculum and the subject of the policy even if the category of the policy is same.

  • Our society is developing exponentially, but schools are not keeping up with the pace of society's development, and they are not providing digital literacy education suitable for the growth and development of students. Thus, this study identified the actual conditions and problems of digital literacy education at school sites and sought the direction of development of digital literacy education. By identifying the current state of schools in which the 2015 curriculum is operated, we sought the direction of the development of digital literacy education for our school. First, old digital devices should be replaced, laptops or smart devices should be provided for each student, and internet access should be available throughout the school. Second, digital literacy education should be provided to teachers by providing various training opportunities.Third, coding education where you can express what you think as logical thinking, Software training should increase the level of the algorithmic domain that shows the computational thinking process of discovering problems and automating a given problem into a computer programming language, there is enough robot that can be seen operating the program, digital parish will need to be delivered.

A Comparative Study on Elderly Persons' Adoption Patterns of Media Information (Newspaper, Smartphone, Etc.) and Digital Divide

  • This study found the digital divide of Korean elderly persons on the basis of the 2013-2017 survey data of the perception of media information adopters. The studied media were traditional ones, such as newspaper and TV. The media dependence of those in their 20s to 60s was compared and analyzed. As a result, regarding their dependence on newspaper, elderly persons in their 60s had 20.7% on average, 13.6% higher than the percentage (7.1%) of young persons. Regarding their dependence on TV, those in their 60s had 97.6% and those in their 20s had 63.7%, so that there was a wide gap of 33.9% on average. The smartphone penetration rate of those in their 60s was 61.3%(2015-2017) on average, which tended to rise. The elderly's dependence on traditional media featured Digital Divide which is found in the informatization process. Accordingly, in order to solve their digital divide, it is required to expand education in line with their knowledge level through remote online centers, develop inclusive ICT for convenience, and change philosophical policy paradigm in the dimension of quality of life.

A Framework for Open, Flexible and Distributed Learning Environment for Higher Education (개방·공유·참여의 대학 교육환경 구축 사례)

  • This study proposes University 2.0 as a model case of open, flexible, and distributed learning environment for higher education based on theoretical foundations and perspectives. As web 2.0 technologies emerge into the field of education, ways of generating and disseminating information and knowledge have been drastically changed. Professors are no longer the only source of knowledge. Students using internet often become prosumers of knowledge who search and access information through the web as well as publish their own knowledge using the web. A concept and framework of University 2.0 is introduced for implementing the new interactive learning paradigm with an open, flexible and distributed learning environment for higher education. University 2.0 incorporates online and offline learning environments with various educational media. Furthermore, it employs various learning strategies and integrates formal and informal learning through learning communities. Both instructors and students in University 2.0 environment are expected to be active knowledge generators as well as creative designers of their own learning and teaching.
