In the last few years, banks have experienced more challenging market than any other times. They need to find new ways to reconnect with their customers and rebuild their trust. But in the race to the future some banks are taking clear lead. Research works show that while high perform leading banks are different, they also share some common characteristics and principles that have allowed them to move ahead to profitable growth. Cost cutting is no longer enough to succeed in tomorrow's world. Instead, the IT function needs to work shoulder-to-shoulder with the business to support the growth agenda. Therefore "C" level's attention is moving from cost reduction towards customer experience, speeding to market for new offerings, analytics and distribution channel enhancements, taking advantage of several levers that will shape the technology agenda for the high performing organization. Next generation of digital core-banking solutions will improve pre-existing capabilities, introduce new innovations and drive qualities such as flexibility and scalability to support time to market.

Most existing FRADs support only permanent virtual circuit-based frame relay services. But several applications such as intranets, desktop video conferencing, remote access and voice applications typically do not require the dedicated bandwidth capabilities of PVCs because connections are only occasionally needed. So it drives the need of switched virtual circuit-based FRADs which offer potentail cost savings associated with dynamic bandwidth on demand connectivity. In this paper, we describe Frame Relay Network Access System(FNAS) that provides switched virtual circuit-based frame relay access for dial-up Internet services. The hardware configuration, software architecture and call processing flow of FNAS is explained.

Various numerical models that have been developed for marine environments and applied to coastal waters in USA were introduced briefly. Inter alia, with regard to an integrated monitoring and modeling system, the main features and outline of system, the system architecture for data management and representation system, and the incorporation of internet based technology were described. An example of application of an integrated system to coastal waters was also presented. The prospective research works to improve the capabilities and to advance the functionality of an integrated monitoring, modeling and management system were suggested to be the instrumentations for various monitoring parameters, the new development and/or advancement of various numerical models, the relevant internet based technologies. etc..

The Internet technology has been recognized not only as a tool far communication in the 21st century but also as an environment for enabling changes in the paradigm of teaching and learning. This paper describes a web-based system development for chemical engineering education. Simulation and visualization of dynamic systems in the environment of a standard web-browser is made possible by extending its capabilities. ActiveX control is used to simulate the system tool far online representation of Virtual Lab. System that is developed using visual basic. The courseware is classified into tutorial, exercises, and virtual experiments.

요즈음, 지능형 교육 시스템은 자기 주도적 학습 기능을 이용한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 웹 기술 기반 온라인 가상대학에 접속하면, 온라인 강의를 언제 어디서나 공부할 수 있다. 지능형 학습 시스템을 구현하기 위해서는, 취약과목과 못하는 과목을 실시간으로 판단하는 기능이 필요하다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서, 수준별 학습 능력과 보안 알고리즘을 모의실험 하였다. 뿐만 아니라, 본 논문에서는 지능형 교육시스템을 구현하기위해서, QR 코드 및 지능형 교육 학습 시스템을 제안 하였다.

With the fast increasing popularity of mobile services, ubiquitous mobile devices with enhanced sensing capabilities collect and share local information towards a common goal. The recent Mobile Crowd Sensing (MCS) paradigm enables a broad range of mobile applications and undoubtedly revolutionizes many sectors of our life. A critical challenge for the MCS paradigm is to induce mobile devices to be workers providing sensing services. In this study, we examine the problem of sensing task assignment to maximize the overall performance in MCS system while ensuring reciprocal advantages among mobile devices. Based on the overlapping coalition game model, we propose a novel workload determination scheme for each individual device. The proposed scheme can effectively decompose the complex optimization problem and obtains an effective solution using the interactive learning process. Finally, we have conducted extensive simulations, and the results demonstrate that the proposed scheme achieves a fair tradeoff solution between the MCS performance and the profit of individual devices.

Storage services integration can be done for achieving high availability, improving data access performance and scalability while preventing vendor lock-in. However, multiple services environment management and interoperability have become a critical issue as a result of service architectures and communication interfaces heterogeneity. Storage federation model provides the integration of multiple heterogeneous and self-sufficient storage systems with a single control point and automated decision making about data distribution. In order to integrate diverse heterogeneous storage services into a single storage pool, we are proposing a storage service federation framework named BoxBroker. Moreover, an automated decision model based on a policy-driven data distribution algorithm and a service evaluation method is proposed enabling BoxBroker to make optimal decisions. Finally, a demonstration of our proposal capabilities is presented and discussed.

Storage cloud scheme, pushing data to the storage cloud poses much attention regarding data confidentiality. With encryption concept, data accessibility is limited because of encrypted data. To secure storage system with high access power is complicated due to dispersed storage environment. In this paper, we propose a hardware-based security scheme such that a secure dispersed storage system using erasure code is articulated. We designed a hardware-based security scheme with data encoding operations and migration capabilities. Using TPM (Trusted Platform Module), the data integrity and security is evaluated and achieved.

In our current information-based society in which knowledge is a fundamental asset to production, the capability to utilize information and produce knowledge with the use of information technology (IT) has become essential to learning. Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) have recently been introduced in light of such changes and are recognized as an alternative to open education. MOOCs' capabilities are being acknowledged in lifelong education in terms of reeducation and knowledge sharing, and also in terms of improving teaching quality, and improving university students' levels of creativity and integrated thinking by supporting high-level content and teaching. Therefore, this study presents an extended research model that combines information system (IS) continuance and task-technology fit models. Our study researches previous literature, revealing factors of continuous use after accepting MOOCs from the learner's perspective, and analyzes the model empirically. The ideal environment for MOOCs learners is evaluated, and a strategic approach to the successful settlement and diffusion of MOOCs is presented based on this study's findings.

Internet-based retail business spreads rapidly in Korea. Companies are trying to develop and use various strategic capabilities. The strategies employed by those companies include activities related to the design of shopping sites, market positionsing, facilitation of purchasing process, payment mechanism, and the provision of various consumer services. However, the success of these strategies depends on various environmental factors and internal capability of the companies. Especially, balancing activities performed on-line with those performed off-line is suggested to be essential. In this study, we examined three successful Internet shopping mall companies and compared them to draw useful guidelines for balancing shopping mall strategies - on - line vs. off - line. These three companies were selected because they are all considered sucessful by now, but brought different backgrounds.
