  • This study is about the patent information analysis of relevant companies and technologies based on International Patent Classification (IPC) code. 902 patent applications in the field of electronic commerce(G06Q) by NAVER, the biggest internet company in Korea, are the subjects of this study. First, we investigated the number of applications and registrations per IPC code so that we could analyze the core technology areas and the status of patent application. In addition, we examined the convergence of technologies by investigating interconnections between main and sub categories of IPC codes. Lastly, we looked into the changes in patent technologies by investigating the status of application per IPC code in accordance with year. By analyzing the IPC code based patent information used in this study, we could further expect the trends of companies and technologies.

  • The objective of the study is to develop the identification code of the Korean sci-tech journals for KSCI. To achieve the purpose, the study has researched and analyzed a variety of the major international and national serials or information objects identification code systems. And then, KOJIC(KOrean Journal Identification Code) has been developed. KOJIC is unique, unambiguous identifiers for titles of Korean journals in all subject areas. The concepts of KOJIC are simplicity, mnemonics, internationalization, and extensibility of its use. KOJIC is a six-character and alphanumeric code and has one check character.

  • This work introduces to the international scientific community the Chinese Code on fire safety design of steel building structures. The aim of the Code is to prevent the structure of a steel building subjected to fire from collapsing, ensure safe evacuation of building occupants, and reduce the cost for repairing the damages of the structure caused by fire. The main contents of the Code is presented in this paper, including the fire duration requirements of structural components, fundamental requirements on fire safety design of steel components, temperature increasing of atmosphere and components in fire, loading effect and capacity of various components in fire, and procedure for fire-resistant design of steel components. The analytical approach is employed in the Code and the effectiveness of the Code is validated through experiments.

  • In this paper, we constructed the advanced cargo monitoring system for liquid cargo tankers which embedded the Decision Support System (DSS) based on the International Ship Management Code (ISM Code). To make this system, we first organized a base of expert's knowledge concerning liquid tanker operations that largely affect ocean accidents. We can find out the knowledge via inference method which simply imitates the fuzzy inference method. Based on this expert's knowledge, we constructed the DSS that provides a code of conduct for operating cargo tanks safely. The proposed monitoring system could eliminate human error when confronting dangerous situations, so the system will help sailors to operate cargo tanks safely.

  • Seismic codes are the best available guidance on how structures should be designed and constructed to ensure adequate resistance to seismic forces during earthquakes. Seismic provisions of Indian standard code, International building code and European code are applied for buildings with ordinary moment resisting frames and reinforced shear walls at various locations considering the effect of site soil conditions. The study investigates the differences in spectral acceleration coefficient ($S_a/g$), base shear and storey shear obtained following the seismic provisions in different codes in the analysis of these buildings. Study shows that the provision of shear walls at core in low rise buildings and at all the four corners in high rise buildings gives the least value of base shear.

  • Perforated plates are used for the steam generator tube-sheet and the Reactor Vessel Closure Head in the Nuclear Power Plant. The ASME code, Section III Appendix A-8000, addresses the analysis of perforated plates, however, this analysis is only limited to the flat plate with a triangular perforation pattern. Based on the concept of the effective elastic constants, simulation of flat and spherical perforated plates and their equivalent solid plates were carried out using Finite Element Analysis (FEA). The isotropic material properties of the perforated plate were replaced with anisotropic material properties of the equivalent solid plate and subjected to the same loading conditions. The generated curves of effective elastic constants vs ligament efficiency for the flat perforated plate were in agreement with the design curve provided by ASME code. With this result, a plate with spherical curvature having perforations can be conveniently analyzed with equivalent elastic modulus and equivalent Poisson's ratio.

  • When carrying out computer programming, the process of checking and correcting errors in the source code is essential work for the completion of the program. Non-computer majors who are learning programming for the first time receive feedback from instructors to correct errors that occur when writing the source code. However, in a learning environment where the time for the learner to practice alone is long, such as an online learning environment, the learner starts to feel many difficulties in solving program errors by himself/herself. Therefore, training on how to check and correct errors after writing the program source code is necessary. In this paper, various types of errors that can occur in a Python program were described, the errors were classified into simple errors and complex errors according to the characteristics of the errors, and the distributions of errors by Python grammar category were analyzed. In addition, a coding learning process to refer error lists was designed to present a coding learning method that enables learners to solve program errors by themselves.

  • To develop computational thinking skills, university students are learning how to solve problems with algorithms, program commands and grammar, and program writing. Because non-computer majors have difficulty with computer programming-related content, they need a learning method to acquire coding knowledge from the process of understanding, interpreting, changing, and improving source codes by themselves. This study explored clone coding, refactoring coding, and coding methods using reconstruction tools, which are practical and effective learning methods for improving coding skills for students who are accustomed to coding. A coding learning process with the code reconstruction principle was designed to help non-computer majors use it to understand coding technology and develop their problem-solving ability and applied the coding technology learning method used in programmer education.

  • The 2020 National Building Code of Canada (NBC) and the 2021 International Building Code (IBC) both include Tall Wood Buildings (TWB) and are hailed as documents responsible for the proliferation of Mass Timber construction. Mass Timber construction is critical to reducing the carbon footprint of the construction industry; a sector acknowledged as being one of the greatest contributors of global annual CO2 emissions. Origine, a 13-storey multi-residential building erected in 2017 in a previously unsuitable site, is currently the tallest all-wood building in North America. This article describes the challenges overcome by the designers and client as they engaged with code officials, building authorities, and fire-service representatives to demonstrate the life-safety performance of this innovative building. It also traces the development of the "Guide for Mass Timber Buildings of up to 12 Storeys" published in Quebec and how it has enabled other significant Tall Wood projects across North America.

  • This paper is about environment-based low-code and no-code execution platform and execution method that combines hybrid and native apps. In detail, this paper describes the Low-Code/No-Code execution structure that combines the advantages of hybrid and native apps. It supports the iPhone and Android phones simultaneously, supports various templates, and avoids developer-oriented development methods based on the production process of coding-free apps and the produced apps play the role of Java virtual machine (VM). The Low-Code /No-Code (LCNC) development platform is a visual integrated development environment that allows non-technical developers to drag and drop application components to develop mobile or web applications. It provides the functions to manage dependencies that are packaged into small modules such as widgets and dynamically loads when needed, to apply model-view-controller (MVC) pattern, and to handle document object model (DOM). In the Low-Code/No-Code system, the widget calls the AppOS API provided by the UCMS platform to deliver the necessary requests to AppOS. The AppOS API provides authentication/authorization, online to offline (O2O), commerce, messaging, social publishing, and vision. It includes providing the functionality of vision.
