공명기를 이용한 4기통 SI기관의 체적효율 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Volumetric Efficiency by the Resonators for the 4-Cylinder SI Engines.)

  • In this study, the simulation program for the prediction of volumetric efficiency of the internal combustion engine by the resonator has been developed, when the resonator is mounted on the intake system of 4-cycle SI engines for the improvement of volumetric efficiency. The experimental work has also been carried out for the verification of the program, and it is found that the result of calculation by the simulation program fits qualitatively well with that of experiment. To get the optimal mounting position of resonator on the intake system, the influence of the variation of dimensions of resonator such as neck length, volume and neck diameter were examined by the numerical calculation of the program in advance and the results were compared with the experiments. It is found that the position which is departed 150cm from plenum chamber is better than any other positions, and the average amount of the increase of volumetric efficiency is about 2∼3%

  • The paper considers acoustic analysis of the shock absorbing muffler within a rotary compressor. The internal space of the compressor is modelled as a combination of cavities and pipes. A simple one-dimensional impedance approach is used fur the acoustic analysis in the low frequency range, with ignoring the effects of gas flow and temperature gradients that are closely related to power efficiency of the compressor. Using the similarity between the vibration isolator and the shock absorbing muffler, the source strength transmissibility is newly proposed as a performance measure of the muffler and its validity is supported by power analysis. Some Important muffler design rules obtained are; (1) a muffler cavity and its opening throat should be used as a pair, (2) a long thin throat is desirable for high frequency noise isolation, (3) a large muffler cavity should be used with care since it shortens the working frequency range of the muffler. The rules were applied to redesign a compressor muffler currently in use, and a significant improvement was achieved by simply attaching a throat to the outlet holes of the muffler.

  • NPN Si bipolar transistors with two different emitter widths are designed and fabricated. The effects of the emitter width on the small signal parameters of BJTs are measured and discussed. A new ac method for determining the current gain, the cut off frequency and the internal capacitances from the input impedance circle characteristics as a function of the varied external series resistances is presented. This method allows an accurate characterization of bipolar transistors with high current gain. The variation of the I-V curves of the emitter junction with the reverse collector junction voltages is discussed from the changes in the intsrinsic base resistances.

  • In the electrode fabrication of unit cell, we found that optimal the electrochemical characteristics were obtained with at 90 wt.% of activated carbon(BP-20), 5 wt.% of conducting agent(Ppy, Super P) and 5 wt.% of P(VdF-co-HFP)/PVP mixed binder. The electrochemical characteristics of unit cell with Ppy improver were as follows : 37.6 F/g of specific capacitance, 0.98 $\Omega$ of AC-ESR, 2.92 Wh/kg and 6.05 Wh/L of energy density, and 754 W/kg and 1,562 W/L of power density. It was confirmed that internal resistance were reduced due to the increase of electrical conductivity and filling density by the introduction of conductivity agent, and content of conducting agent was suitable in the range of 4~6 wt.%. According to the impedance measurement of the electrode with conductivity agent, we found that it was possible to charge rapidly by the fast steady-state current convergence due to low equivalent series resistance(AC-ESR), fast charge transfer rate at interface between electrode and electrolyte, and low RC time constant.

슬림형 광디스크 드라이브의 방진마운트 설계 (Design of a Rubber Mount for Vibration Reduction in a Slim Optical Disk Drive)

  • With the increase of track density, high rotational speed and the compatibility for various media in optical disk drives, the effective design to vibration reduction is very important for robust operation. Especially when a slim optical disk drive for a notebook PC is excited by a mass-unbalanced disk, internal vibration and its transmission to external case bring about severer problem than that of conventional one. In this paper a design process of a rubber mount in a slim optical disk drive for vibration reduction is presented. The characteristics of rubbery materials - hyper-elastic and visco-elastic - are measured with standard specimens. The static stiffness of a rubber mount was calculated by FEM and the dynamic stiffness is predicted with the static stiffness and the impedance test data of the standard specimen. The transmissibility tests are performed for the purpose of verification of the design process.

New N-way Hybrid Power Combiner to Improve the Graceful Degradation Performance

  • In this paper, a new N-way hybrid power combiner for improving the graceful degradation performance has been proposed. The proposed combiner has been configured with two dummy transmission lines per each section, where each dummy transmission line has a different characteristic impedance, of the standard combiner. Under this proposed configuration, a detailed theoretical analysis has been performed to show the general function of a power combiner. When any M amplifiers among N identical amplifiers are suffering the failure mode in a power combining circuit or system, the graceful degradation performance has been improved due to the separation of a transmission line and an internal resistor in every failed section from the proposed combiner by simultaneously operating two shorting devices. Simulation results for all the items which can be measured from all the items which can be measured from the proposed combiner with an eight-way configuration have been presented.

  • In this study, the properties of MCMB anode Mixed with KCF were evaluated. KCF material was used as not only conducting agent but also active material. The Electric conductivity of MCMB and KCF were 23.7S/cm and 45.8S/cm. Characteristics of anode with different KCF contents were the best effect at 2wt%. The 1st Ah efficiency of cells were increased with increment of KCF contents. The internal resistance and the rate capability were 1.59Ω and 135mAh/g at 2C. The discharge capacity was gradually faded with the charge-discharge cycling to about 50th cycles.

  • This paper was investigated the electrical properties for optimal operating conditions of monocrystalline silicon solar cell. The output of electricity for monocrystalline solar cell was investigated according to the distances between solar cell and halogen lamp and to the resistances by the variable resistor.

  • 본 논문은 전기자동차에 탑재되는 리튬 폴리머 배터리의 고효율 충전 전략을 제시하고, 그에 따른 탑재형 충전기의 효율을 분석한다. 내부 임피던스에 의한 충전 손실을 전혀 고려하지 않는 기존의 정전류 충전방식과 대조적으로, 제안하는 방법은 배터리 내부 임피던스를 고려함으로써 충전과정의 손실을 상당량 저감할 수 있다. 본 연구의 타당성은 배터리 실험결과를 통하여 증명한다.

  • This paper describes the design of high power transistor packages using high power chip transistor dies, chip capacitors and a new wire bonding technique. Input impedance variation and output power performances according to wire inductance and resistance for internal matching are also discussed. A multi crossing type(MCT) wire bonding technique is proposed to replace the conventional stepping stone type(SST) wire bonding technique, and eventually to improve the output power performances of high power transistor packages. Using the proposed MCT wire bonding technique, it is possible to design high power transistor packages with highly improved output power compared to SST even the package size is kept to be the same.
