  • Using synchronous surface pressures from the wind tunnel test, the three dimensional wind load models of high-rise buildings are established. Furthermore, the internal force responses of symmetric high-rise buildings in along-wind, across-wind and torsional directions are evaluated based on mode acceleration method, which expresses the restoring force as the summation of quasi-static force and inertia force components. Accordingly the calculation methods of equivalent static wind loads, in which the contributions of the higher modes can be considered, of symmetric high-rise buildings in along-wind, across-wind and torsional directions are deduced based on internal forces equivalence. Finally the equivalent static wind loads of an actual symmetric high-rise building are obtained by this method, and compared with the along-wind equivalent static wind loads obtained by China National Standard.

  • Hypertension is one of the modifiable risk factors for stroke and heart disease. Lowering blood pressure is a primary or secondary preventative measure for stroke and heart disease. There are many antihypertension drugs. But these day there comes some side effect of antihypertension drugs. Headache, sexual dysfunction, inertia, dizziness, depression, and so on. So we use Bangpungtongsung -san to stage 1 hypertensive patients. After treatment with Bangpungtongsung-san, patients showed antihypertensive effect and improvement in general condition. The result of this study suggest that Bangpungtongsung-san might be usefully applied for the treatment of hypertension.

  • The Non-Principal Axis (NPA) rotators can be clues to spin evolutionary processes of asteroids because their excited spin states evolve due to either internal or external forces. The NPA rotation of (5247) Krylov was confirmed by Lee et al. (2017) based on KMTNet photometric observations during the 2016 apparition. We conducted follow-up observations in 2017 apparition using the 0.6-2.1m telescopes in the northern hemisphere to determine the spin state and shape model of this asteroid. We found that it is rotating in the Short Axis Mode (SAM) based on the determined rotation period ($P_{\psi}=374.6hr$) and precession period ($P_{\phi}=67.48hr$). The greatest and intermediate principal inertia moments are nearly the same as $I_b/I_c=0.94$, but the smallest principal inertia moments are nearly half that of the others, $I_a/I_c=0.43$. This ratio of principal inertia moments suggests that dynamically equivalent shape of this asteroid is close to that of a prolate ellipsoid. In this presentation, we will provide the physical model of (5247) Krylov to discuss its possible spin evolutionary processes that acted on its spin.

  • In this paper, the response characteristics of one to one resonance on the rectangular cantilever beam in which basic harmonic excitations are applied by nonlinear coupled differential integral equations are studied. This equations have 3-dimensional non-linearity of nonlinear inertia and nonlinear curvature. Galerkin and multi scale methods are used for theoretical approach to one to one internal resonance. Nonlinear response characteristics of 1st, 2nd, 3rd modes are measured from the experiment for basic harmonic excitation. From the experimental result, geometrical terms of nonlinearity display light spring effect and these terms play an important role in the response characteristics of low frequency modes. Dynamic behaviors in the out of plane are also studied.

  • A rotor-bearing system has been investigated, including internal damping and axial torque using finite dynamic elements. A procedure is presented for dynamic modeling of rotor-bearing system which consist of finite dynamic shaft elements, rigid disk, and bearing and seal. A finite dynamic element model including the effects of rotatory inertia, gyroscopic moments, axial force, and axial torque is developed using the frequency dependent shape function. The natural whirl speeds, stability, and unbalance response of rotor system are calculated on several cases and compared with the conventional finite elements.

  • The paper presents a method for controlling induction motors using a nonlinear internal model control (IMC) approach. The process model and the inverse model are developed in the rotor flux coordinate. The main advantage of the proposed method is that it easily specifies the performance (steady state error, transient response, etc.) and the robustness of the controller by means of the IMC filters. Simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. Results on a real time system show that the control system has good performance and robustness against changes in motor parameters (rotor and stator resistances, rotor and stator inductances, rotor inertia).

  • The present paper proposes a generalized modal analysis procedure for non-uniform, distributed-parameter rotor-bearing systems. An exact element matrix is derived for a Timoshenko shaft model which contains rotary inertia, shear deformation, gyroscopic effect and internal damping. Complex coordinates system is adopted for the convenience in formulation. A generalized orthogonality condition is provided to make the modal decomposition possible. The generalized modal analysis by using a modal decomposition delivers exact and closed form solutions both for frequency and time responses. Two numerical examples are presented for illustrating the proposed method. The numerical study proves that the proposed method is very efficient and useful for the analysis of distributed-parameter rotor-bearing systems.

  • The critical fluid velocity of cantilevered cylindrical shells subjected to internal fluid flow is investigated in this study. The fluid-structure interaction is considered in the analysis. The cantilevered cylindrical shell is supported intermediately at an arbitrary axial position. The intermediate support is simulated by two types of artificial springs: translational and rotational spring. It is assumed that the artificial springs are placed continuously and uniformly on the middle surface of an intermediate support along the circumferential direction. The steady flow of fluid is described by the classical potential flow theory. The motion of shell is represented by the first order shear deformation theory (FSDT) to account for rotary inertia and transverse shear strains. The effect of internal fluid can be considered by imposing a relation between the fluid pressure and the radial displacement of the structure at the interface. Numerical examples are presented and compared with existing results.

  • For this paper, the position-control performances of dual EHA(electro-hydrostatic actuator) systems were investigated according to two cases wherein the double-rod- and single-rod-type hydraulic cylinders were combined. Since the control performance is significantly dependent on the load conditions including external forces such as the inertia load, it is proposed here that the two sub-EHAs are driven by separate position and force controllers, instead of two identical position controllers. According to the simulation results, the best performance was achieved by the position-controlled single-rod-type EHA that was combined with a force-controlled double-rod-type EHA. As the force-controlled double-rod-type EHA compensated for the external loads on the position-controlled single-rod-type EHA, the position-control performance was not influenced by external forces including the inertia load. In addition, the position-controlled single-rod-type EHA contributed to the enhancement of the damping ratio by absorbing the pressure peaks through its internal accumulator. Due to the symmetrical piston areas, the double-rod-type EHA is more suitable for force control than the single-rod- type EHA.
