  • Concurrent Engineering is one of the methods which are used for the rapid product development. One of the important features in Concurrent Egineering is that the development process is to be parallel and the organization should be cross-functional. In order that the process be parallel and that the organization be cross-functional, an integrated information system such as PDM (Product Data Management) is required. Although the integrated data base is constructed, it could be meaningless if the application softwares were not inter-operable. This study shows an example of intergrated information system from three-dimensional product design to mold design and tooling for the development of Deflection Yoke(DY) which is one of the important parts of Cathode Ray Tube(CRT). A three-dimensional product design software, which is based on a commercial code, has been developed by ourselves. Selective Laser Sintering(SLS), which is one of the rapid prototyping techniques, has been used in this study. Mold design has been done by the three-dimensional way. A newly developed method of mold tooling, which is called Quick Die Manufacturing(QDM), has been introduced.

  • SSB, VHF 등의 장비에 의한 무선통신은 아직도 중요한 정보전달의 수단으로 사용되고 있으며, 무선국으로부터 원거리에 설치되는 장비에 대해서는 전용회선을 사용하여 원격제어로 송ㆍ수신을 행하고 있다. 그러나 무선국에서 다수의 사용자가 다수의 장비에 임으로 접속하고 운용을 해야하는 환경에서는 ICS(Intergrated Communication System:통합통신시스템)의 회선접속 제어기가 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 ICS의 개발을 위하여 ASK(Amplitude Shift Keying) 변조방식에 의한 PTT(Press To Talk) 제어와 신호의 전송회로를 구성하여 실험하였고, 멀티-프로쎄싱에 의한 회선접속 제어기를 설계하여 통합 통신운용에 대한 알고리즘을 연구하였다. Keying에 의하여 m 신호를 단속하였고 지속되는 PTT 신호에 음성신호를 합성시켜 전송시키는 형태의 ASK 변조방식을 취하여 전송되도록 하였고, 회선접속 제어기는 master와 다수의 slave 프로쎄서를 멀티-프로쎄싱의 직렬데이터 전송방식으로 프로쎄서 상호간에 데이타가 전달되도록 구성하였다. 이에 따른 S/W 는 멀티-프로쎄싱의 인터럽트기법을 최대한 활용하여 원하는 회선에 정확히 접속되어 통신이 이루어지도록 설계하였다. 따라서 이 연구는 주파수 자원의 고갈과 통신량의 증가에 대한 대책의 일환으로 저비용의 시설로 재래식 장비의 운용 효율을 증대시키는 기술의 개발에 목적이 있다.

  • 최근 다자간 영상 회의, 주문형 비디오, 원격 진단 시스템 등과 같이 영상 정보를 송.수신하는 멀티미디어 서비스의 개발이 활발해짐에 따라, 기존의 인터넷상에서 데이터를 저장하고 전달하는 방식이 제공하는 최선형 서비스만으로는 사용자들이 요구하는 실시간 멀티미디어 응용 서비스들을 제대로 지원할 수 없게 되었다. 따라서 네트워크 사용자들에 의해 점차적으로 종단간의 QoS에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이더넷 환경에서 종합 서비스 모델(Intergrated Service Model)로 제안된 지역 망에서 유용하게 사용될 수 있는 자원 예약 프로토콜인 RSVP의 성능을 분석하였다. 이를 기반으로 인터넷망에서 차별화 된 서비스 품질을 제공할 수 있는 차등화 서비스(Differentiated Service)와의 연동 모델을 향후 연구과제로 제시하고자 한다.

  • 학령인구의 감소에 따른 대학 구조개혁에 대한 경쟁력 강화 방안의 일환으로 각 대학에서는 다양한 설문조사 및 만족도 조사를 시행하고 있다. 그러나, 대부분의 대학은 설문조사의 통합 관리체계 및 운영 방법의 효율성 그리고 활용 방법에 대한 고려 없이 업무별, 시스템별, 다양한 인터넷 무료 설문조사 시스템을 사용하고 있어 체계적이고 효율적인 설문 관리가 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 대학 내에서 운영되는 모든 설문조사 업무를 통합 관리할 수 있는 권한 모델을 설계하고, 자료를 체계적으로 저장할 수 있는 구조를 만들어, 축적된 데이터에 대한 시계열분석, 상관분석, 회귀분석이 가능한 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 학교의 설문조사 업무를 효율화하고, 대학에 필요한 다양한 분석 방법을 제공하여 대학의 발전에 기여 할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • In this paper, we propose the hardware and software of a test-bed of a hovering AUV (autonomous underwater vehicle). Test-bed to develop as the underwater robot for the hovering -type is planning to apply for marine resource development and exploration for deep sea. The RTU that controls a azimuth thruster and a vertical thruster of test-bed is a intergrated-type thruster. The main control unit that collects sensor's data and performs high-speed processing and controls a movement of test-bed is a underwater hybrid navigation system. Also it transfers position, posture, state information of test-bed to the host PC of user using a wireless communication. The host PC checks a test-bed in real time by using a realtime monitoring system that is implemented by LabVIEW.

  • Performance management of computer networks is intended to improve a given network performance in order for more efficient information exchange between subsystems of an integrated large-scale system. Importance of perfomance management is growing as many functions of the large- scale system depend on the quality of communication services provided by the network. The role of performance management is to manipulate the adjustable protocol parameters on line so that the network can adapt itself to a dynamic environment. This can be divided into two subtasks : performance evaluation to find how changes in protocol parameters affect the network performance and decision making to determine the magnitude and direction of parameter adjustment. This paper is the first part of the two papers focusing on conceptual design, development, and evaluation of performance management for token bus networks. This paper specifically deals with the task of performance evaluation which utilizes the principle of perturbation analysis of discrete event dynamic systems. The developed algorithm can estimate the network performance under a perturbed protocol parameter setting from observations of the network operations under a nominal parameter setting.

  • At present, using different method, in the view of point of that factory to the rising of the productivity, they try to rise productivity by factory automation. First, it is the automation of each unit process. In out country, in the case of a few developed factory. they are realized by line automation. The majority factories are established by automation device of unit process. But, as the established devices, it must be connect between unit processes or mutual assistance and offical automation in order to raise up productivity highly. In this paper, process inspection control system is installed by each unit process automation and connect main computer with them. So, we try to rise high productivity using stochastic process and supervision function.

  • This paper introduces an integrated vision system that enables us to detect the image of Slabs and Coils and get the complete three dimensional location data without any other obstacles in the field of unmanned-crane automation system. Existing researches with laser scanner tend to be easily influenced by environment in the work place so they cannot give the exact location information. Also, CCD camera has some problems recognize the pattern because of intensity of illumination caused in the industrial setting. To overcome these two weaknesses, this thesis suggests laser scanner should be combined with CCD camera named integrated vision system. This system can draw more clear pictures and take the advanced 3D location information. The suggested system is expected to help build unmanned-crane automation system.

  • This paper demonstrates the prototype implementation of existing GIS operations using an integrated CA-GIS system where a CA simulator serve an analytical engine for GIS and compares the performance of the operations implemented here with the original ones. In addition, some new GIS operations that are not available in contemporary GIS are implemented and tested within the integrated system. It has shown that most of the local and focal operations were successfully implemented with CA-GIS and some operations written with the CA simulator showed better performance. New types of operations such as various shape filters, time-series filter, and diffusion operators were able to be implemented using the CA-GIS, which appears to be significant to enhance deficient analytical capabilities of contemporary GIS.

  • An optical transmitter, which is a key component of the optical transmission system, converts the electrical signal to optical signal and consists of a high-speed current-pulse driver for laser diode and low-speed feedback loops that stabilize optical power against aging, power supply voltage fluctuations, and ambient temperature changes. In this paper, the power-stabilizing part, which forms the bulk of the optical transmitter circuitry was designed in integrted circuits. Operational amplifiers and reference voltage generation circuits, which were identified as key building blocks for the power-stabilizing feedback loops, were designed and were subsequently verified through HSPICE simulations. The designed operational amplifier consists of a two-stage folded cascode amplifier and class AB output stage, whereas the reference voltage is obtained by bandgap reference circuits. Finally the power-stabilizing circuitry was laid out based on 3\mu$m CMOS design rules for fabrication.
