In this paper, we propose an interface design for helping users to utilize a statistical analysis program efficiently. This interface design is useful to suggest which statistical method to use and to provide the result by linking data file to the statistical analysis program in a user friendly way. In chapter 2, we explain the overall structure and modules of the interface.

A haptic interface can be a passive system with virtual coupling as a filter virtual coupling has been designed for satisfying passivity. However, it affects transparency of haptic interface as well as stability. This paper suggests new design criterion of a haptic interface controller by considering transparency. As a result, sampling time and the range of impedance or admittance should be considered as well as virtual coupling for desired performance of hapticdisplay. And experiments show that the suggested design criterion can be applied successfully for desired performance.

Depending on applications where transmission bandwidth, wire distance, power consumption and EMI environments vary, design trade-offs must be made to optimize the display interface. After introducing the digital display interface architecture, topics such as cost, EMI, signal integrity, scalability and content protection are discussed with available techniques. Implementation issues are discussed regarding their cost and design complexity. Existing standards are reviewed and comparison on their strengths and shortcomings are discussed.

This study is about an interface design supporting collaborative learning activities in online environment in which people exchange their knowledge and give feedback on personal storytelling to each other. Interface design issues from the viewpoint of Computer Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL) on digital media design are considered. Based on collaborative learning theories and analysis on the existing online collaborative sites about digital media, such as online forums for digital pictures and films, interface guidelines are suggested and the interface is designed. The interface design is evaluated through a pilot test. The interface for collaborative learning on personal storytelling is designed to support observation and to provide a scaffolding for valuable conversation. It is also designed to help intersubjectivity of online conversation and an easy access to media.
