This presentation highlights the IAHR book, recently published last April, of which the author is the editor-in-chief, on the historical water projects and traditional water technologies of international interest in the Asian region, addressing information on past water projects (mostly before the 20th century) in the regions that are technically and culturally of interest and educationally valuable. The book explores historical water projects in these regions, presenting technologies used at the time, including calculation and forecasting methods, measurement, material, labor, methodologies, and even water culture. Through this book, it is expected that the old Asian wisdom of "reviewing the old and learning the new" would be realized to a certain extent in modern planning and practice of water projects. The book comprises a lead article that the presenter authored and five Parts representing China, Japan, Korea, South Asia, and Southeast Asia, respectively, followed by an invited one from Uzbekistan. Throughout the book, it is found that historically the Asian monsoon, affecting the Indian subcontinent and Southeast and East Asian regions, induced rice cultivation. It fundamentally needs proper irrigation systems, including reservoirs (dams) and canals, water wheels, and even rain gauges. Flood risks have been more common in Asia than Europe under this climate condition, as recognized in history. To utilize and sometimes overcome these climate conditions, people built and managed many historical and grandiose water projects and invented and used localized but sophisticated water-related technologies in the Asian region.

Now, we have experienced that the loss ratio of cancer insurance with prevalence of cancer increased. The insurance companies interest how the loss ratio of cancer insurance decrease. To decrease the loss of ratio of cancer, underwriting is very important. The underwriting of cancer are very important factors which are family history, habitual behavior and past history. We have spend the most of time under the occupational situation. Occupation may be very important factor causing cancer. But we neglect the occupation history. This article show how the underwriting of the occupational cancers in the field of occupation are managed Generally, Occupational cancers show special characteristic features. We know the characteristics of occupational cancer under the variety of occupation. For the underwriting of occupational cancer in Korea, we also understand the epidemiology of Korean occupational cancer with the varieties of occupation This article shows the characteristics of occupational cancer and epidemiology of Korean occupational cancers.

This study aimed to review trends in Korean medical education research from 2003 to 2022. A total of 60 studies were identified, with an increasing trend in publication numbers. The research topics covered various aspects of Korean medicine education, including curriculum, basic science, clinical science, teaching methods, history, and international comparisons. Text mining analysis revealed "Curriculum", "Satisfaction" and "Clinical" to be frequent terms. The study suggests that Korean medicine education research should continue to develop, given its broad scope and growing interest.

스마트폰의 대중화로 인해 개인 맞춤형 서비스에 대한 관심이 증대되고 이는 시대 변화에 맞춰 박물관 등 여러 관람시설에 이를 만족시키기 위해 많은 시스템들의 변화가 일어나고 있다. 박물관은 관람이라는 요소를 가지고 있으며, 역사교육이라는 목적이 담겨져 있으며, 재미와 교육을 병행해야 하는 기관으로서의 역할이 있다. 이런 목적을 달성하기 위해서는 문화재에 대한 충분한 흥미를 유발해야 하며, 그와 동시에 문화재에 대한 다양한 콘텐츠의 제공이 필수적이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 효율적인 문화재 관람 서비스를 제공하기 위해 교육과 함께 평가를 병행할 수 있는 효율적인 방안에 대하여 Unity3D 엔진과 Vuforia라는 증강현실 개발용 SDK를 사용하여 연구하였다.

수학사의 교육적 연구를 비판적으로 분석해 보고, 교사 및 교사교육자를 대상으로 하여 실시한 설문조사와 면담결과를 통해 수학사를 교육적으로 활용하고자 할 때 해결되어야 할 문제점을 찾아보고자 하였다. 수학학습에 대한 흥미와 학습동기 유발을 넘어서 수학사를 통해 수학적 개념의 진정한 의미와 그 핵심적인 관점의 이해를 심화시킨다는 측면에서 볼 때 수학사의 교육적 이용에 대한 연구 결과와 교사의 수학사에 대한 인식에는 만족스럽지 못한 측면이 있으며, 교사 교육기관에서의 수학사 교육은 수학사의 개관에 그치고 있어 충분하지 못하며, 학교수학에 대한 역사 발생적 자료의 개발, 나아가 역사 발생적 교재구성에 대한 연구가 절실히 요구된다.

The travellers using social media leave their location history in the form of trajectories. These trajectories can be bridged for acquiring information, required for future recommendation for the future travelers, who are new to that location, providing all sort of information. In this paper, we propose a personalized travel path recommendation scheme based on social life log. By taking advantage of two kinds of social media such as travelogue and community contributed photos, the proposed scheme can not only be personalized to user's travel interest but also be able to recommend a travel path rather than individual Points of Interest (POIs). It also maps both user's and routes' textual descriptions to the topical package space to get user topical package model and route topical package model (i.e., topical interest, cost, time and season).

Image matching is fundamental process to identify conjugate points on the stereo images. However, standard methods or general solutions for matching problem have not been found yet, in spite of long history. Quality of the matching basically depends on uniqueness of the matching entity and robustness of the algorithm. In this study, conjugate points were extracted by implementing interest operator, then area based matching method was applied to the topographical characteristics of the gray value as the matching entities. The matching entities were utilized based on the concept of the intrinsic image.

Samuel Eliot Morison (1887-1976) was one of the pre-eminent historians of his generation. He was not only a famous historian at that time, but also was promoted to the rank of Admiral in U.S. Navy Reserve. Fifteen volume History of United States Naval Operations in World War II was published between 1947 and 1962, was not only a comprehensive report on the Navy's projection of power over two oceans, but a classic of historical literature that stands as the definitive treatment of it subject. Although he was fifty-five when war come to America in December 1941. Samuel Eliot Morison was determined to play a role. A professor at Harvard at the time, he joined volunteering for duty in the Navy. An experienced sailor, Professor Morison had earlier sailed that same routes taken by Christopher Columbus while researching his biography, Admiral of the Ocean Sea, which appeared in January 1942 th much acclaim and later got a Pulitzer Prize. Thus Morison plunged into the war, crossing the Atlantic aboard a destroyer. He assumed himself as "Parkman on the sea", tried to follow Parkman's historiographic method, not only participatory history but also literary style. And during writing History of United States Naval Operations in World War II, He emphasized two principles, publicity and objectivity. In terms of publicity, he always worried about who read history and why. In his pamphlet, "History as a Literary Art", he asserted it is useless if readers do not read a history which historians wrote. So he thought historians have forgotten that there is an art of writing of history. Therefore, he built his narratives around brightly rendered visuals and used the present tense to describe actions he witnessed firsthand, he wrote of the U.S. combat in very vividly. But strongly driven by publicity, he sometimes lost his balance in writing the naval history. For instance, the naval history became the focus of criticism for its prejudiced comments about the commanders. Also some reviewers asserted he did not secure the objectivity on writing the naval history. Although he sometimes deliberately torpedoed the objectivity of his work for strengthening publicity, by writing an extensive U.S. naval history, he introduced maritime history and naval history to the public widely. Until in early twentieth century, U.S. historians usually had been focusing their effort to the traditional areas, for example politic, economy, and etc. His intensive effort on the operations of U.S. Navy in World War II aroused a public interest in maritime and naval history. In conclusion, through using literary style and realistic narratives, historian Morison wrote a naval history for all the people which could appealed to the public.

PURPOSE: This study examined women's attitudes toward the use of physical therapy in the treatment process after breast cancer surgery and the degree of interest in this application. Path analysis was conducted to discover the approaches to improve awareness of the necessity of physical therapy intervention after breast cancer surgery. METHODS: This study was a cross-sectional survey of 230 women aged 20 years and over with no history of breast cancer. The measurement tool used in this study was a structured questionnaire, composed of 17 items in five fields: five items on the demographic characteristics, four items related to health checkups, four items involving the viewpoints on breast cancer, one item related to the interest in breast cancer, and four items related to physical therapy after surgery. RESULTS: Women's attitudes toward regular health checkups were major factors in the prevention and treatment of breast cancer. In addition, those with higher levels of interest in breast cancer showed stronger interest in using physical therapy after breast cancer surgery. CONCLUSION: Women believe that breast cancer can be prevented through the health checkups implemented by the government. Therefore, there is a need to utilize public relations to promote methods for the self-diagnosis of breast cancer in the health checkup system and the use of physical therapy after breast cancer surgery.

The rule of Islam is simple: if you advance a loan, you are entitled to receive your capital only and nothing more. If you wish to secure profit you should enter into a partnership and become a shareholder. Prohibitions against interest are not peculiar to Islam. If we were to trace back through history, a number of examples of such prohibitions can be found in the early Greek, Roman and Rabinnical thought. With the decline of the influence of the Catholic Church interest transactions become legal and stimulated giant Western corporations which forged capitalist imperialism. The practice of charging interest (usury) now dominated Western law and ethics for over a millennium. But, the Western or capitalist economic system has proven a failure in its quest for economic justice, which serves to benefit all in society, both the rich and the poor. In particular, capitalism is currently causing a terrifying scenario of making the rich richer and the poor poorer due to interest charges. An alternative banking model, called Islamic finance and banking, is evoked in this study in order to depress financial exploitation by banking institutions.
