  • The purpose of the study was to investigate the generality and applicability of Team-Based Learning model in a technical high school, based on the interviews with students and a teacher. Team-Based Learning model seems to be an effective way in improving the performance of groups as well as the individualized learning and team interaction. We applied a formative research method and identified the strengths of the model including learners' motivation and interests, learner-centered learning, self-efficacy through learning in advance, and concept acquisition from the repetitive learning process. However, we also found the weakness of the model including impracticality of instructional design, a lack of field-oriented problem banks, and needs for identifying learner characteristics and role in instruction. Finally, we analyzed the implications for the Team-Based Learning in the technical high schools in light of team formation, discussion types, active participation, and learners' prior knowledge and attitude, and pre-determined instructional design.

  • This study aimed to analyze postures that were frequently conducted in manufacturing industry. To find grip strength and muscle activities of each posture, Maximum Voluntary Contraction (MVC) and ElectroMyoGraphy (EMG) were measured. Based on the results of this study, the most appropriate posture could be suggested and used as a basic information for preventing musculoskeletal disorders. Most work-related musculoskeletal disorders have been occurred in the fields of manufacturing industry. According to previous studies, it was reported that the rate of musculoskeletal diseases of upper extremity was higher than that of other body parts. Accordingly, there were many studies about discomfort and grip strength of upper extremity. However, these studies dealt with single selection of wrist, elbow and shoulder. So, it was insufficient for comprehensive studies about upper extremity. And in order to improve the work posture, the physiological changes being generated by the combination of wrist, elbow and shoulder postures should be observed and analyzed. In order to conduct this study, thirty university students who had no records of MSDs involved were recruited. Independent variables were postures of wrist(pronation, neutral, supination), postures of elbow(flexion $45^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$) and postures of shoulder(flexion $0^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$). And dependent variables were MVC values and EMG values. Jamar dynamometer and TeleMyo 2400T G2 was used to measure MVC and EMG. MVC and EMG for 12 postures were measured for three second and for three times. Experiment was performed randomly. A 10 minutes rest period was provided after each t. To measure muscle load, the EMG signals of eight muscles (Biceps, Medial triceps, Lateral triceps, Brachioradialis, Extensor carpi ulnaris, Extensor carpi radialis, Flexor carpi ulnaris and Flexor carpi radialis) were evaluated. MVC values and EMG values were analyzed using Minitab ver. 14. The results showed that MVC value was the highest at shoulder $0^{\circ}$, elbow $45^{\circ}$ and wrist supination. In case of wrist postures, MVC of supination is the highest. In case of elbow and shoulder postures, MVC of flexion $45^{\circ}$ and $0^{\circ}$ was the highest. It was found that there were interaction between wrist and elbow posture under shoulder flexion and between shoulder and wrist under elbow flexion $45^{\circ}$. In case of the angle of shoulder $0^{\circ}$, elbow $45^{\circ}$ and wrist supination, the EMG values of four muscles(Medial Triceps, Extensor carpi ulnaris, Extensor carpi radialis, Flexor carpi ulnaris) were the highest. Based on this study, it is worth to note that the combination postures of upper extremity have a large impact on the MVC and EMG. The optimal condition upper extremity was shoulder flexion $0^{\circ}$, elbow flexion $45^{\circ}$ and wrist supination for preventing work-related musculoskeletal disease.

  • The purpose of this research is to find factors that affect high school science teachers' class compositions. In this research, we developed the class composing factor analysis framework and we observed teachers' class to figure out the class composing factors. The results from this research were as follows: First, the class composing factor was classified with 'positive motive factor' and 'negative motive factor'. It is the positive motive factor that teachers' voluntary motives operate to teacher for class compositions. It is the negative motive factor that outer demands operate to teacher for class compositions. Second, both positive and negative motive factors were shown in all the steps, which included preparing a class, progressing a class, and after a class. Also, according to the circumstances, each factor changed. Minimizing and overcoming negative motive factors will lead to positive interaction between the teacher and students. It will also increase a teachers' achievements in class and maximize the effectiveness of class. Therefore, it is expected that this will be a great help for teachers to enhance their teaching professionalism.

  • Buyers' Trust in suppliers is critical in all commerce, but particularly in the relationship between foreign provider and local consumer due to the liability of foreignness. This study examines (1)how local consumers trust in the product of MNCs is affected by their perceptions of the product attributes, (2)does the product trust affects customers loyalty, and (3)whether Global Corporate Citizenship moderates the relationship between the product attributes and trust. Based on previous researches, hypotheses are formulated and the statistical method used to test them was a moderated regression analysis using SPSS 20. 330 respondents from the university student group in Korea were used for this analysis. The results of this study are follows: Service communication and product perceptions such as quality, technological newness, design, and brand value have a significant effect on the product trust. The Effectiveness of product-related service communication had greater than that of the physical characteristics of product. But, price fairness is not significantly. The trust then has a positive relation to customers loyalty. When global corporate citizenship as the moderating role is introduced into the model, the interaction terms with 'price fairness' are verified to be significant. Therefore, global corporate citizenship moderates the relationship between price fairness and product trust. The results of the empirical study provide important implications for Korean firms operating in foreign markets. But, the findings are limited to the University students and to manufacturing sectors. Thus, the generalization of the results of this research remains limited.

  • Background: In korea the agricultural community widely uses organophosphorous, and organophosphorous poisonings are increasing every year. We compared change in activity of acetylcholinesterase and pseudocholinesterase by organophosphorous and by the interaction of ethanol and organophosphorous. We also compared the effect of reversible anticholinesterase drugs, physostigmine and neostigmine The object of this study is to investigate the effects of several anticholinesterase drugs and on how ethanol influences the activity of cholinesterase. Materials and Methods: Fifteen male university students were randomly selected, and blood samples were taken from the antecubital vein. The acetylcholinesterase in the RBC and the pseudocholinesterase in the serum were extracted and separated. The enzyme activity change was measured by the electrometric method. After adding acetylcholine, the pH change was measured with a pH meter. Results and Conclusion: Our results indicated that reversible anticholinesterase drugs decreased the cholinesterase activity more efficiently than organophosphorous. The acetyl cholinesterase and pseudocholinosterase activity were decreased by ethanol. When ethanol was added, oxime a cholinesterase activator, increased acetylcholinesterase activity but does not increased pseudocholinesterase activity.

  • In this study, we compared the use of information and communications technology (ICT) by middle school teachers in Korea and other countries utilizing the teacher survey data of the IEA International Computer and Information Literacy Study (ICILS) 2013. The ICILS target population consisted of all students in the eighth grade. We compared Korea with Australia, the Czech Republic, Norway, and Poland, which are nations showing the highest achievements in computer and information literacy. We selected nine questions from the teacher questionnaire and divided them into the categories of computer use, use of ICT for teaching and learning, and the ICT support environment in school. In comparison to their counterparts in other countries, Korean middle school science teachers used computers frequently and also had high ICT self-efficacy. They were confident in their ability to use computers for general tasks, but not in their ability to use computers for teaching and learning. The Korean teachers also had a high percentage of utilization of presentation and graphics software. Also, the proportion of activities concerning the information provided and teacher-led tasks was high, but the proportion of activities for student collaboration or peer interaction was low. In Korea, middle school science teachers had more negative than positive views of using ICT in teaching and learning. The teachers thought that computer-related resource support and digital learning materials were insufficient and that the computer model was outdated in schools. Therefore, we propose to build an ICT infrastructure and to develop and disseminate ICT teaching and learning methods for student activities.

  • Previous crisis management research has mainly focused on business organizations' responsibility for crises, and yet research on CEOs in crisis still lacks. This research examined the influences of crisis responsibility and response strategies on attitudes toward a CEO, attitudes toward a corporate, and purchase intentions in the case of CEOs in crisis. In addition, this study explored how a CEO's SNS interactivity during normal times moderates the influences of crisis responsibility and response strategies. A 2(responsibility: high vs. low)X2(strategy: defensive vs. apology)X2(interactivity: high vs. low) experimental design was conducted with 200 Chinese students in Seoul. According to the analysis results from effects of response strategies by CEO's crisis responsibility levels, regardless of the crisis responsibility levels, the apology strategy was more effective than the defensive strategy in terms of CEO attitudes, corporate attitudes, and purchasing intentions. The analysis results about the moderating role of SNS interactivity during normal times show that under the CEO's high responsibility condition, keeping high SNS interactivity during normal times and using the apology after crisis brought out most favorable responses. Under the CEO's low responsibility condition, regardless of the SNS interactivity levels, the apology strategy brought out more favorable responses than the defensive strategy.

  • Flipped classroom has used widely in university in that its unique structure can facilitate learners' higher-thinking skills and promote competencies. Learners are expected to extend knowledge through performing online and offline, but they have difficulty in understanding their roles and specific behaviors to achieve the learning goals in the flipped learning. Therefore, a guidance for students has been required to support learners' mastery learning. The purpose of this study is to identify successful learners' characteristics in terms of "competency". For this, three-phased competency modeling was employed. In Phase I, Behavioral Event Interviews were conducted with eight learners of the flipped classroom. In Phase II for identifying competencies and developing a competency model, the data was coded, followed by testing reliability of the coding. Based on the meaning codes, competencies and behavioral indexes were developed. The final competencies consist of learning orientation, learning management, feedback seeking, peer interaction, and knowledge extension. In Phase III, validation of the competency model was conducted by explanatory factor analysis. As last, competencies were aligned by the two-phase of the flipped classroom. The finding will be used as the guidance for the learners and instructors in the flipped classroom.
