  • Flory의 상태방정식 이론에 서로 다른 분자간의 특정상호작용을 첨가할 때 나타날 수 있는 고분자 용액에서의 부분혼합도에 대하여 고찰하였다. 특히, 원형모양의 상도가 나타날 수 있음을 보였다. 그리고, 그 경우에 대한 일반적인 조건을 유도하였고 그 상도에 미치는 몇몇 인자들의 일반적인 효과를 조사하였다.

Dynamic response of elasto-plastic planar arches

  • The behaviour of elasto-plastic planar arches subjected to dynamic loads in presented. The governing equations are formulated through the dynamic equations and compatibility conditions. The latter is established by applying the generalized conjugate segment analogy. Bending moments at the nodes and axial forces in the members are considered as primary variables in the elastic regime. They are supplemented by the rotations at the nodes and dislocations in the elements when plastic hinges occur. Newmark-${\beta}$ method is adopted in the time marching process. The interaction diagram of each element is treated as the yield surface for the element and the associated flow rule is enforced as plastic flow occurs. The method provides good prediction of dynamic response of elasto-plastic arches while requiring small core storage and short computer time.

Abundance Anomalies and Star Formation History of merging BCDs

  • We present elemental abundances of 95 blue compact dwarf galaxies (BCDs) at z=0.2~0.35 using the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) DR7. We derived element abundances using Te method. We found that nitrogen abundance of merging BCDs are more enriched than normal BCDs by fast rotating young massive star. On the other hand, neon and oxygen abundances for merging BCDs are slightly lower than the normal BCDs. This might be result from the dilution by metal-poor gas infall during the interaction. This means that merging BCDs undergone star formation event for a long time than normal BCDs and we trying to explain using STARLIGHT code and various star formation rates (SFRs) ratios. At a result, merging BCDs have older stellar population (>10 Myr) more than normal BCDs and have clear distinction in elements abundances versus Ha/UV diagram. We also discuss the characteristics of post merger candidate using FUV to NUV ratios.

  • 이 논문은 기존의 Use Case 방법론을 개선하려는데 초점을 두고 있다. Use Case 방법론의 설계단계 중, 설계 프랙티스(Design practices)단계에 소프트웨어 테스팅 개념을 적용하였다. 이 방법은 먼저 사용자의 요구 사항을 상호작용 다이어그램을 통해 분석하고, 설계 컴포넌트(Design Component Units)라고 불리는 기능적 컴포넌트들로 새롭게 정의하고 추출한다. 추출된 기반을 바탕으로 생성된 설계 컴포넌트들을 설계 스키마(Design schema)에서 계층구조로 분할하는 방법이다. 여기서 개발자들의 목적에 따라 선택한 수 있도록, 다양한 기준에 적용한 수 있는 여러 가지 설계 컴포넌트들을 정의하였다. 개선된 Use Case 방법론을 토대로 변환 알고리즘[11]을 이용해 새로운 Use Case 툴을 개발하고자 한다.

  • This paper describes the results of RBD(Reliability Block Diagram) analysis of control rod control system, which is being developed as part of KNICS project. The results of RBD indicate unavailability of control cabinet for control rod control system. A purpose of RBB is to evaluate unavailability of control cabinet, identify the design drawbacks of control cabinet, and propose design improvement to a designer to help design the more reliable control rod control system. This RBD defines the logical interaction of failure within a system.

Salt-Induced Protein Precipitation in Aqueous Solution: Single and Binary Protein Systems

  • A molecular-thermodynamic model is developed for the salt-induced protein precipitation. The protein molecules interact through four intermolecular potentials. An equation of state is derived based on the statistical mechanical perturbation theory with the modified Chiew's equation for the fluid phase, Young's equation for the solid phase as the reference system and a perturbation based on the protein-protein effective two body potential. The equation of state provides an expression for the chemical potential of the protein. In a single protein system, the phase separation is represented by fluid-fluid equilibria. The precipitation behaviors are simulated with the partition coefficient at various salt concentrations and degree of pre-aggregation effect for the protein particles. In a binary protein system, we regard the system as a fluid-solid phase equilibrium. At equilibrium, we compute the reduced osmotic pressure-composition diagram in the diverse protein size difference and salt concentrations.

  • Web2.0 의 비동기식 웹 페이지 전환기술이 주목을 받으면서 기존의 웹사이트들이 동적인 웹 사이트로 바뀌어 가고 있다. 그러나 웹 애플리케이션 개발에 적용 가능한 설계모델인 UML2.0은 정적인 웹 페이지 설계 모델로 국한되어 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 UWE의 항해모델에서 뷰 관점 항해모델과, 데이터 전송 항해 모델을 State Machine, Communication Diagram을 이용하여 비동기식 웹 페이지 항해 모델 개선과 기존의 동기식 웹 페이지 모델과의 호환성 방안을 제안한다.

한국해양환경을 고려한 부유식 마리나 구조물의 운동성능 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of the Motion Performance of Floating Marina Structures Considering Korea Coastal Environment)

  • The aim of this study was to improve the vertical motion performance of floating marina structures and to optimize the shapes of the structures for the Korea coastal environment. The floating body is connected to a plate-shaped submerged body through a connecting line under the water that has a stiff spring that serves to reduce the heave response. This system, which has two degrees of freedom, was modelled to analyze the interaction between the floating body and the submerged body. The vertical motion of the two-body system was compared with the motion of a single body to verify that the system could perform as an optimized model.

Effects of Scaffolding Types and Individual Metacognition Levels on Learning Achievement in Online Collaborative Argumentation

  • This study examined the effects of scaffolding types (Toulmin's Argument Pattern: TAP or Argumentation Vee Diagram: AVD) and individual metacognition levels (low or high) on students' learning achievement in online collaborative argumentation. A total of 191 Chinese undergraduates took part in this study. They were randomly assigned to either the TAP scaffolding, AVD scaffolding, or no scaffolding condition. They were teamed up in small groups of two or three students to argue with their peers using SNS as the online collaborative argumentation environment. The results revealed that students in the TAP and AVD scaffolding conditions did not gain significantly higher retention or transfer scores than students without scaffolding. However, students in the TAP scaffolding condition significantly outperformed those in the AVD scaffolding condition on transfer scores. Individual metacognition did not significantly affect learning achievement in online collaborative argumentation. Additionally, there was no significant interaction effect between scaffolding types and individual metacognition levels on retention or on transfer. The findings have implications for scaffolding design for online collaborative argumentation and also suggest that more attention should be paid to social metacognition rather than to individual metacognition when students work collaboratively.

  • Schematic diagram of the interaction between the intestinal muscularis externa (MMΦ) macrophages and the enteric nervous system (ENS) neurons during different developmental periods. At the early postnatal stage, MMΦs play a critical role in ENS maturation and refinement through synaptic pruning and enteric neuron phagocytosis. In addition, during the adult stage, a specific MMΦ subset named neuron-associated (NA)-MMΦ, supports enteric neuronal survival and functions. Conversely, enteric neurons promote the phenotypic MMΦ changes by secreting transforming growth factor-β (TGFβ), transitioning them from a phagocytic phenotype in the early postnatal period to a neuroprotective and immune-surveillant phenotype in the young adult period. Disruptions in these interactions could lead to alterations in the enteric neuron numbers, ultimately resulting in reduced gut motility.
