In this work, we present interactive automultiscopic content with mobile surface haptics for multimodal interaction. Our system consists of a 40-view automultiscopic display and a tablet supporting surface haptics in an immersive room. Animated graphics are projected onto the walls of the room. The 40-view automultiscopic display is placed at the center of the front wall. The haptic tablet is installed at the mobile station to enable the user to interact with the tablet. The 40-view real-time rendering and multiplexing technology is applied by establishing virtual cameras in the convergence layout. Surface haptics rendering is synchronized with three-dimensional (3D) objects on the display for real-time haptic interaction. We conduct an experiment to evaluate user experiences of the proposed system. The results demonstrate that the system's multimodal interaction provides positive user experiences of immersion, control, user interface intuitiveness, and 3D effects.
This paper presents the rail structure interaction analysis of the elevated viaducts which contains the curved alignments with smallest radius of 300 metre. The aim of this study is to check the compatibility between the track and the curved structure in order to verify the safety of the continuous welded rail track under service conditions. To perform the rail structure interaction analysis, nonlinear static rail structure interaction calculation is implemented. The bridge structures, the rails and the track behaviour are modelled according to the UIC774-3 and the Eurocode prEN1991-2 recommendations. Criteria in Eurocode prEN1991-2 are investigated to check the compatibility between the track and the structure for the rail structure interaction effects.

The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of early childhood teachers' professionalism and teaching efficacy on their teacher-child interaction. A total of 761 early childhood teachers working at childcare centers and kindergartens in South Korea were selected as the participants for the study. The study variables were measured using survey questionnaires. Pearson's correlation analyses and regression analyses along with Sobel test were conducted. The results demonstrated that early childhood teachers' teaching efficacy had a significant mediation effect on the relationship between their professionalism and teacher-child interaction. The results suggest the need to support early childhood teachers' recognition and development of professionalism as well as teaching efficacy that result in positive teacher-child interaction.

Recently, a hologram-like system and a virtual human to provide a realistic experience has been serviced in various places such as musical performance and museum exhibition. Also, the realistically responded virtual human in the hologram-like system need to be expressed in a way that matches the users' interaction. In this paper, to improve the feeling of being in the same space with a virtual human in the hologram-like system, user's gesture based interactive contents were presented, and the effectiveness of interaction was evaluated. Our approach was found that the gesture based interaction was provided a higher sense of co-presence for immersion with the virtual human.
Binding of N-Alkyl phenothiazines (NAP) to bovine serum albumin (BSA) was studied by spectroscopic methods. It was found that the phenothiazine ring common to all drugs makes major contribution to interaction. However, the nature of alkylamino group at position 10 influences the protein binding significantly. Stern-Volmer plots indicated the presence of static component in the quenching mechanism. The high magnitude of rate constant of quenching indicated that the process of energy transfer occurs by intermolecular interaction and thus the drug-binding site is in close proximity to tryptophan residues of BSA. Binding studies in presence of hydrophobic probe, 8-anilino-1-naphthalein-sulphonic acid showed that there is hydrophobic interaction between drug and the probe and they do not share common sites in BSA. Thermodynamic parameters obtained from data at different temperatures showed that the binding of NAP to BSA predominantly involve hydrophobic forces. The effects of some cations and anions common ions were investigated on NAP-BSA interactions. The CD spectrum of BSA in presence of drug showedthat binding of drug leads to change in the helicity of the protein.

This study investigates the interaction effects of mechanical property-based clusters and colorimetric tones on the subjective touch and color sensation of fabrics when sight and touch were simultaneously provided to humans. Each of six different silk fabrics was colored by digital textile printing to have three tones (pale, vivid, and grayish) and its mechanical properties were measured by a Kawabata Evaluation System (KES). Touch and color sensation were identified to be primarily influenced by mechanical property-based clusters and tones, respectively. In touch, 'smooth', 'warm', 'heavy', and 'soft' were found to be affected by interactive effects of mechanical property-based clusters and colorimetric tone so that the pale tone tended to make differences smaller among the clusters for the touch sensation, while the grayish tone seemed to contribute to larger differences of 'heavy'. However, an interaction effect was not found in the color sensation with touch even though the color sensation was also influenced by mechanical property-based clusters.
Plants can affect adversely the interaction among herbivores by inducing insect resistance chemicals and change of attack behavior of natural enemies. Also, plants may induce favorable effects to herbivores by production of allelochemicals, nutritional variation, or morphological changes. In this review, we examined the effects of the interaction among herbivores mediated by plants and plant-response induced by insect attack, or the life history strategies of insects on the community structure of herbivore insects, and discussed its ecological significance in community level.
Purpose: This study was done to investigate effects of Meridian massage on the growth of the infant and on mother-infant interaction, mother-infant attachment, and the mother's satisfaction with her mothering role. Method: The participants were 39 mothers of infants who were seen at one of two urban public health centers located in Yangju or Seoul. Data were collected from February 2008 to December 2008. Infants in the experimental group were given Meridian massage for 50 minutes (lecture 20 minutes, practice 15 minutes, preparation and arrangement 15 minutes) once a week for 6 weeks. Percentages, means with standard deviation, $X^2$-test, repeated measured ANOVA, and ANCOVA were used with the SPSS program to analyze the data. Results: Infants in the experimental group showed an increase in weight & height compared to those in the control group. Mother-infant interaction, mother-infant attachment, and satisfaction with mothering role were significantly higher in the experimental group than the control group. Conclusion: The above finding suggest that Meridian massage should be applied in clinical practice to improve growth of infants, interaction and attachment between infants and their mothers, and the mother's satisfaction with her mothering role.

There are basically two methods for the seismic design of underground structures ; analytical or pseudo-static, and dynamical method. In pseudo-static analysis approach, the ground deformations are imposed as a static load and soil-structure interaction does not include dynamic or wave propagation effects. However the behavior of soil structure interaction is nonlinear, it needs to consider nonlinear soil-structure interaction effects. In this study simplified seismic analysis method to consider soil-structure interaction by iterative procedure is proposed and the results are compared and analyzed by a finite difference computer program.
The reactions of bis(Y-aryl) chlorothiophosphates (1) with substituted anilines and deuterated anilines are investigated kinetically in acetonitrile at $55.0^{\circ}C$. The Hammett plots for substituent Y variations in the substrates show biphasic concave upwards with a break point at Y = H. The cross-interaction constants (${\rho}_{XY}$) are positive for both electron-donating and electron-withdrawing Y substituents. The kinetic results of 1 are compared with those of Y-aryl phenyl chlorothiophosphates (2). The cross-interaction between Y and Y, due to additional substituent Y, is significant enough to result in the change of the sign of ${\rho}_{XY}$ from negative with 2 to positive with 1. The effect of the cross-interaction between Y and Y on the rate changes from negative role with electron-donating Y substituents to positive role with electron-withdrawing Y substituents, resulting in biphasic concave upward free energy correlation with Y. A stepwise mechanism with a rate-limiting leaving group departure from the intermediate involving a predominant frontside attack hydrogen bonded, four-center-type transition state is proposed based on the positive sign of ${\rho}_{XY}$ and primary normal deuterium kinetic isotope effects.
