A study on the User Experience at Unmanned Checkout Counter Using Big Data Analysis (빅데이터 분석을 통한 무인계산대 사용자 경험에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to analyze the user experience of unmanned checkout counters perceived by consumers using SNS big data. For this study, blogs, news, intellectuals, cafes, intellectuals (tips), and web documents were analyzed on Naver and Daum, and 'unmanned checkpoints' were used as keywords for data search. The data analysis period was selected as two years from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2021. For data collection and analysis, frequency and matrix data were extracted through Textom, and network analysis and visualization analysis were conducted using the NetDraw function of the UCINET 6 program. As a result, the perception of the checkout counter was clustered into accessibility, usability, continuous use intention, and others according to the definition of consumers' experience factors. From a supplier's point of view, if unmanned checkpoints spread indiscriminately to solve the problem of raising the minimum wage and shortening working hours, a bigger employment problem will arise from a social point of view. In addition, institutionalization is needed to supply easy and convenient unmanned checkout counters for the elderly and younger generations, children, and foreigners who are not familiar with unmanned calculation.

Korean Medicine Doctor's Perception in Korean Medicine Clinical Practice Guideline and Korean Medicine Cliniical Pathways (한의 표준임상진료지침 및 한의 표준임상경로에 대한 한의사의 인식)

  • Objectives : This study is aimed to survey Korean Medicine Doctors's perceptions in Korean Medicine Clinical Practice Guideline and Standard Korean Medicine Clinical Pathways for its spread(to increase utilization in clinical sites). Methods : The research population was set at 14,831 Korean medical institutions registered with the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service for sampling representative of Korean Medicine Doctors, and the final 2,007 subjects were selected in consideration of the research period and budget. This survey was conducted based on a telephone survey, and in some cases, a fax or e-mail survey was also conducted together. Six questions were asked about the perception of 'Korean Medicine Clinical Practice Guideline and Standard Korean Medicine Clinical Pathways', and three questions about the characteristics of the respondent. Results : The rate of recognizing Korean Medicine Clinical Practice Guideline was 36.1%. Those who worked at Korean medicine hospitals, were under 39 years of age, and had less than 11-20 years of experience as an Korean medical doctor were more likely to be aware of it. Regarding the experience of using Korean Medicine Clinical Practice Guideline, the rate of 'not used in the past and not used now' was very high at 82.9%, but the intention to use it in the future was high at 60.7%. About the Korean Medicine Clinical Pathways, 79.9% of respondents answered that they did not know. 80.6% of respondents recognized the need for the development of clinical manuals such as Korean Medicine Clinical Practice Guideline and Standard Korean Medicine Clinical Pathways. Conclusion : Their low awareness of Korean Medicine Clinical Practice Guideline seems to affect its low utilization. Therefore, active education and public relations are required in the future.

A Comparative Analysis of Mobility Service Satisfaction by Driving Subjects and Experiences of the Latest Technology : Focused on Automated Driving Service (모빌리티 서비스의 운전 주체 및 신기술 경험 여부에 따른 만족도 비교분석 : 자율주행서비스를 중심으로)

  • The South Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport designated seven automated driving test beds required to evaluate vehicle performance every year for the expansion of mobility services based on automated driving. As a fundamental study, we suggested a necessary example of evaluating the performance with a satisfaction survey for the services before the evaluation. First, we surveyed the perception of automated driving services of users and the public in Sejong-si, South Korea. The survey showed that the users had a higher level of awareness of automated driving technology and intention to use it than the public. Second, the satisfaction survey was conducted on demand-responsive public transportation and automated driving service users. Notably, using the Wilcoxon Rank Sum Test, among the non-parametric statistical analysis methods, we found that safety-related factors affected the overall satisfaction of users of automated driving services. On the other hand, in the case of the demand-responsive public transportation service users, factors related to service convenience affected overall satisfaction. Hence, the results of these surveys are expected to be used as basic data and guidelines to improve the quality of automated driving services and policy establishment.

Current Status and Dietitians' Perception of Rice Bread in the Noncommercial Foodservice Menu (단체급식 식단의 쌀빵 이용 현황 및 영양사의 인식 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to survey the current status of bread menus at school, business and industry (B & I), and military foodservice operations and to analyze dietitians' perceptions of applying rice bread in foodservice menus. A questionnaire, which was developed by content analysis, situation analysis, and in-depth interview, was distributed to 183 schools, 31 B & I operations, and 26 air force dietitians. In the school and B & I foodservices, wheat bread was used much more than rice bread and serving frequencies of morning rolls and sliced bread were higher. The military foodservices, however, served much more rice bread as burger buns than the other groups. For the school and B&I operations, consumer preference for wheat bread was perceived as high. In contrast, soldiers preferred rice bread to wheat bread in the military foodservices. The recognized advantages of using rice bread were different among the three groups. The military dietitians perceived the main advantage of using rice bread as an increase of rice consumption, while the school and B & I dietitians viewed it as promoting a healthy image. In all groups, the primary difficulties for using rice bread were the higher cost of rice bread as compared to wheat bread and a lack of facilities (e.g. oven). The military dietitians had the highest levels of positive and active interest as well as intention and opinions toward using rice bread. On the other hand, the school and B & I dietitians had very positive perceptions of rice bread but did not actually apply it in their foodservice menus. Overall, the results of this study suggest that the development of diverse menus using rice bread along with government support of its use, including facilities with ovens as well as rice bread subsidies, should be carried out for on-going expansion of the rice bread supply.

Analysis of Determinants on Residential Resettlement in Accordance with Urban Regeneration (도시재생에 따른 주거재정착 결정요인 분석)

  • The aim of this study is to analyze the evaluations and determinants on residential resettlements in accordance with urban regeneration by 7,396 samples from 19 housing redevelopment districts in Busan. The major finding on determinants on residential resettlements in accordance with urban regeneration are as follows; A binary logit model for determinants on residential resettlements in accordance with urban regeneration are composed of owner's characteristics, land and building characteristics, housing complex characteristics, and location characteristics. The significant variables in relation to owner's characteristics are owner's age, owner's place of residence, the possession period against property and investment intention. As a result of logit model for residential resettlements, it shows that the variables in relation to land and building characteristics are the land classification, the use of building, the size of land or building, the permission of building and the appraisal price on land and building. This result means that actual customer's investment connects to resettlement after redevelopment project. The other side, the housing complex variables consist of the brand of construction company, the ratio of large size housing and floor are ratio shows that improvable conditions for housing value are important factor to induce residence's resettlement. The location variables show that Dongbusan has higher probability, the reverse Jungbusan has lower probability in residential resettlement likewise residential preference.

An analysis of customer needs for the operation of unmanned food stores on a university campus (대학 캠퍼스 내 무인 식품 매점 운영에 대한 고객 요구도 분석)

  • Purpose: This study was performed to analyze customer needs for the operation of unmanned food stores on a university campus. Methods: A total of 329 responses were collected from customers who had purchased food at the stores. Statistical analyses were conducted using the SPSS program for frequency analysis, χ2-test, t-test, one-way analysis of variance, and Duncan's multiple range test. Results: On average, the overall satisfaction score for lunch and the eating location was 3.91 out of 5 points. Overall satisfaction was significantly higher for home cooking, and lower for eating at convenience stores (p < 0.001), and the score for eating with family was significantly higher than for eating alone or with friends (p < 0.001). On average, the intention to use an unmanned store received a score of 3.98 out of 5 points, while 'home cooking (3.76)' was significantly lower than other eating locations and eating at 'convenience stores (4.38)' was significantly higher than other eating locations (p < 0.05). The desired time of use for unmanned food stores was 'lunch (54.1%)', 'dinner (46.2%)', and 'afternoon snack (41.9%)', and the desired foods were 'doshirak (62.0%)', 'sandwich (56.2%)', 'fruit cup (54.4%)', 'salad (51.7%)', and 'kimbap (50.5%)'. There were significantly more opinions that single-person households would use unmanned food stores for dinner more than family households (p < 0.05), and significantly more willingness to purchase fruit cup (p < 0.05). The average prices (Korean won) that the subjects were willing to pay for the purchase of food were 4,991 for doshirak, 3,403 for salad, 2,745 for fruit cup, 2,609 for sandwich, and 2,235 for kimbap. Conclusion: For the successful operation of the unmanned food stores on the university campus, the store manager should grasp the customer's needs in real-time and establish an effective marketing strategy.

A Study on the Promotion of Mobile Easy Payment Services in the Fintech Era (핀테크 모바일 간편결제 서비스 활성화 방안)

  • With the growing interest being reflected in the FinTech industry, much attention has been paid to mobile easy payment services as well. In the era of mobile commerce, the core advantage of using mobile easy payment services(simplifying complex payment procedures and thus facilitating user convenience and reducing the chance of giving up payment) are being more emphasized. Mobile easy payment service market not only includes mobile easy payment service providers but also users, non-users, affiliates, banks, and credit card companies as main stakeholders. Exploring those stakeholders is thus important to thoroughly understand such market. However, extant literature on mobile easy payment services mostly focuses on examining adoption intention of users or non-users. This study, an exploratory research based on interviews, thus aims to extract driving as well as inhibiting factors of mobile easy payment service use from six different perspectives (i.e., social platform, bank, credit card company, affiliate, user, and non-user) and analyze a sequence of cause and effect for each factor. For this, the causal loop diagram was developed to deduce key issues and propose an alternative. Theoretical and practical implications of this study will also be discussed.

The Effectiveness of Apps Recommending Best Restaurant through Location-based Knowledge Information: Privacy Calculus Perspective (위치기반 지식정보를 활용한 맛집 추천 앱의 효과: 프라이버시 계산을 중심으로)

  • In advanced mobile devices environment, the market share of mobile application has been increased. Among various mobile services, Location-based Service (LBS) is an important feature to increase user motivation related to purchase intention on mobile. However, individual privacy has also increased as an important problem for invasion of privacy and information leakage while too many LBS based applications (App) rapidly launched in the App market. In this study, we focused on perceived values of LBS App users who use Apps related to recommending best restaurants in China and South Korea. The purpose of this study is to identify important factors for perceived value when users provide personal information for LBS service provider. The result of this study is follows: perceived value can increase while LBS customers can more control self-information and information useability. Also information ability of users affected perceived values for LBS Apps. Also users' app user ability and perceived value were effects on privacy revenue. In addtion, perceived weakness of users and perceived value increased privacy threat.

A Comparative Study of Local Newspapers' News Frame: Focus on Nuclear Waste Site Reporting (지역신문 뉴스 프레임 비교: 핵폐기장 관련 보도를 중심으로)

  • This study examines different news frames of local newspapers reporting the controversial 'Nu[lear Waste Site' issues which deeply split regions showing their intention to bid for the state affair. Three local papers were analyzed for this study, "Gwang-Ju-Il-bo" "Mae-il-sin-mun" and "Jun-buk-il-bo." Overall, the three local papers displayed widely divergent main news frames on the same issue. Firstly, "Gwang-Ju-Il-bo", and "Mae-il-sln-mun" showed the strong tendency of using 'counter frame' while "Jun-buk-il-bo" exhibited 'loral development frame'. Secondly, "Gwang-Ju-Il-bo", and "Mae-il-sin-mun" were frequently headlined 'Nuclear Waste Site', while "Jun-buk-il-bo" carried headlines 'Radioactive Waste Management Facility' overwhelmingly more often than the other two papers, indicating that headline key words are closely associated with the configuration of news frames. Thirdly, the main news frames remained consistent for "Gwang-Ju-Il-bo", and "Mae-il-sin-mun" even after the government's report about the possible connection of 'ion-beam irradiation-accelator' and 'Nuclear Waste Site.' On the other hand, "Jun-buk-il-bo" was significantly less headlined 'Nuclear Waste Site' while significantly more headlined "Radioactice Waste Management Facility." "Jun-Buk-il-bo" which is in stark contrast to the other two papers changed in its tone by increasing the 'local development frame' with decrease in the 'counter frame.' The "Jun-buk-il-bo"'s more frequent use of 'Radioactive Waste Management Facility' as a headline than "Nuclear Waste Management Equipment" is seen as its attempt to minimize negative image of Nuclear Waste and to promote favorable public opinion by highlighting aspects of economic benefits and the local development the construction would brind about. The major findings of this study further support the claim that media overage ends up a reality. The fact that Buan in Jun-buk Province made a successful bid for the construction is not a coincidence.

Double Threshold Method for EMG-based Human-Computer Interface (근전도 기반 휴먼-컴퓨터 인터페이스를 위한 이중 문턱치 기법)

  • Electromyogram (EMC) signal generated by voluntary contraction of muscles is often used in a rehabilitation devices such as an upper limb prosthesis because of its distinct output characteristics compared to other bio-signals. This paper proposes an EMG-based human-computer interface (HCI) for the control of the above-elbow prosthesis or the wheelchair. To control such rehabilitation devices, user generates four commands by combining voluntary contraction of two different muscles such as levator scapulae muscles and flexor-extensor carpi ulnaris muscles. The muscle contraction is detected by comparing the mean absolute value of the EMG signal with a preset threshold value. However. since the time difference in muscle firing can occur when the patient tries simultaneous co-contraction of two muscles, it is difficult to determine whether the patient's intention is co-contraction. Hence, the use of the comparison method using a single threshold value is not feasible for recognizing such co-contraction motion. Here, we propose a novel method using double threshold values composed of a primary threshold and an auxiliary threshold. Using the double threshold method, the co-contraction state is easily detected, and diverse interface commands can be used for the EMG-based HCI. The experimental results with real-time EMG processing showed that the double threshold method is feasible for the EMG-based HCI to control the myoelectric prosthetic hand and the powered wheelchair.
