Purpose: This study analyzes the relationship between work-life conflict and turnover intention among hospital nurses. Furthermore, it seeks to determine whether the relationship between the two varies depending on the shift work condition of the nurses. Methods: A total of 435 nurses working at five tertiary hospitals were included in the study. The questionnaire included items on turnover intentions, work-life conflicts, sociodemographic factors, working conditions, and internal and external resources. Results: The level of work-life conflict among shift work nurses was higher than that of non-shift work nurses. The turnover intention was also higher for shift work nurses than for non-shift work nurses. Results from the multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that the work-life conflict of nurses had a positive relationship with turnover intention. The effect of work-life conflict on turnover intention was greater for shift work nurses than for non-shift work nurses. Conclusion: Work-life conflict had a greater impact on the turnover intention of hospital nurses working under shift work conditions. Based on this study's findings, it can be suggested that, in order to reduce high turnover intention, it will be necessary to make specific efforts to balance work-life conflict and improve working conditions.
This study is to identify the relationship among work-life balance and turnover intention of nurses and examine the influence of work-family balance, work-leisure balance, work-grow balance on turnover intention of nurses. Data were collected from nurses working at five hospitals with more than 30 beds in Seoul and analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis using Jamovi(1.6.23) program. The final sample were made up of 247 participants. In the correlation analysis, work-life balance and turnover intention showed negative correlation. As a result of multiple regression analysis, work-grow balance affected as a meaningful influence factor on turnover intention. It is necessary to carefully examine the sub-factors of work-life balance in order to understand the impact on turnover intention of nurses. And, hospitals need to provide organizational support for nurses' growth and career development.

The attitudes toward to work and leisure and intention to move were differed by individual characteristics and the intention to move was differed by attitudes to work and leisure in later life.
Purpose. The objective of this study was to investigate factors influencing turnover intention index of work environment, emotional labor by hospital nurses Methods. A survey was conducted with 290 nurses who were working hospital. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients and multiple regression with SPSS window 18.0 program. Result. Findings revealed that; 1) The mean scores were 2.81 [range : 1-5] for work environment, 3.24 [range : 1-5] for emotional labor, 3.43 [range : 1-5] for turnover intention. 2) Pearson's correlation revealed work environment was negatively correlated with turnover intention but emotional labor positively correlated with the turnover intention. 3) Hrarchical multiple regression analysis showed work environment, ages, assign ward, period in current hospital, emotional labor significantly influenced turnover intention in hospital nurses. Conclusion. These findings can be utilized to development of strategies to improving the work environment, managing the emotional labor for decreasing turnover intention of hospital nurses so that can be long time.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to verify the relationships among nursing work environment, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and retention intention, as well as to clarify the factors that affect nurses' retention intention. Methods: The study included 163 nurses working in three general hospitals located in B city. Data were collected by a survey using self-administrated questionnaire and analyzed using the SPSS software. Results: The participants expressed a moderate level of retention intention. There were significant differences in retention intention by income (t=-2.13, p=.034) and intention to work (F=9.86, p=.001). The factors influencing retention intention were organizational commitment (${\beta}=.28$, p=.001), job satisfaction (${\beta}=.25$, p=.001), nursing work environment (${\beta}=.23$, p=.004), plan to work period (${\beta}=.13$, p=.027). These factors explained 55.3% of retention intention (F=41.079, p<.001). Conclusions: The findings showed that nursing administrators should develope programs that promote internal satisfaction for new nurses and strive to improve the human and physical aspects of the nursing work environment for career nurses.
The purpose of this research was to find out attitudes toward work and leisure in later life and intention to move to senior community available to work among 50's in Pusan, Daegu, and Daejeon. The survey had been conducted in 414 respondents with questionnaire during May to June, 2003. Frequency, Crosstabs, T-test and ANOVA were obtained from the collected data using SPSS/WIN program. The results of this study were as follows. First, most respondents were preparing toward work in later life somewhat actively and the level of preparation differed by individual characteristics. Those who have higher level of education and subjective economic power were more active. The most preferred work item in later life were raising animals and plants, managing institution and training center and running shop. Those who have higher level of education and asset preferred managing institution and training center. Second, nearly three fourths of middle-aged have chosen leisure activities in consideration of later life and two thirds were preparing economically for leisure in later life. They have strong intention to participate in the leisure activity in later life and they also wanted to take part in various kinds of leisure activities. Those who have higher levels of education, subjective economic power, health and asset were more active in preparing leisure in later life. Third, over two thirds preferred to live and work in later life together with others rather than to live and work alone. Nearly half had intention to move to the senior community where work was available. The intention to move were differed by attitudes to work and leisure in later life. Those who were active in work and leisure in later life presented higher intention to move to senior community available work.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among nursing work environment, job embeddedness, and turnover intention in order to provide basic data for efficient management of human resources in nursing organizations. Methods: A cross-sectional, descriptive study design was conducted with 177 nurses who had worked for more than 6 months in five general hospitals on Jeju Island. A self-report questionnaire was used for data collection. Results: About 88% of the participants reported that they were considering a turnover plan because of overload in their jobs and poor salaries. Nursing work environment was significantly related to job embeddedness and turnover intention. Job embeddedness was significantly related to turnover intention. Hierarchical multiple regression analysis showed that factors affecting turnover intention were the organizational embeddedness factors of organization fit and organization sacrifice. Conclusion: The results indicate that nurses' turnover intention is associated with nursing work environment and job embeddedness. To reduce nurses' turnover intention and improve nurses' retention, nurse managers should improve the nursing work environment and consider job embeddedness, particularly in relation to the organization fit and sacrifice.
Purpose: The present study was designed to find out how the quality of the work environment felt by physical therapists and LMX affect the turnover intention. In addition, we tried to find the mediating effect of LMX in the causal relationship between work environment quality and turnover intention, and to find ways to effectively lower the turnover intention of physical therapists. Methods: Survey tool has obtained validity and reliability through literature survey, exploratory survey and pretest and sample 365 was selected. To treat a pretest and main analysis, SPSS23.0 and AMOS23.0 were employed and structural equation model was employed as an analysis method. Results: Among the work environments, the human environment, the physical environment, and the compensation system were found to have an effect on LMX. In addition, the physical environment and compensation system were found to have a significant effect on turnover intention. LMX was found to have an effect on turnover intention and play a mediating role. Conclusion: In order to lower the turnover intention of physical therapists, the level of LMX should be increased by strengthening the factors of the working environment. This study shows that the management of LMX along with the working environment is an important factor in lowering the turnover intention of physical therapists, and this study has several limitations.
Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between general hospital nurses' work environment, resilience, and intention to remain, as well as to identify the factors associated with nurses' intention to remain.
