Business Model for Intelligent Traffic Facility Management Service Based on Ubiquitous Technology (유비쿼터스 기술 기반의 지능형 교통시설물관리서비스를 위한 비즈니스 모델)

  • In this paper, we propose the system structure and technologies to implement a business model for an intelligent traffic facility management system based on ubiquitous technology. The business model includes the service functions, service structure, business process, and demand and supply relationship among the participants in this model. We also propose an approach to implementing the model. This includes the network, infrastructure and platform to be used for system composition. We then present the results from an analysis by comparison of different technologies and an adequate technology structure. Finally, this paper may present guidelines to managing traffic facilities.

  • The construction industry is an inevitable part of modem development. Now-a-days, the construction industry experiencing several issues related with the maintenance of productivity, quality and labor. Hence there is an immediate requirement for the development of technologies enabling the automated construction equipment. The new technologies should also assure the sufficient safety and efficiency. In the present investigation, an attempts have been made for the development of object sensing algorithm and safety control system for intelligent excavating system. we have analyzed some elemental technologies for sensing objects and also proposed a technology for safety control system as well. The proposed technology will highly influence the safe working performance of construction industry in the positive sense.

An Intelligent Exhibition Rule Management System using PMML

  • Recently, the exhibition industry has developed rapidly with the development of information technologies. Most exhibitors in an exhibition plan and deploy many events that may provide advantages to visitors as a method of effective promotion. The growth and propagation of wireless technologies is a powerful marketing tool for exhibitors. However, exhibitors still rely on domain experts who are costly and time consuming because of the manual knowledge input procedure. Moreover, it is prone to biases and errors and not suitable for managing fast-growing and tremendous amounts of data that far exceed a human's ability to comprehend. To overcome these problems, data mining technology may be a great alternative, but it needs to be fit to each exhibition. This study uses data mining technology with the Predictive Model Markup Language (PMML) to suggest a system that supports intelligent services and that improves stakeholder satisfaction. This system provides advantages to the exhibitor, show organizer, and system designer, and is first enhanced by integrating data mining technologies through the knowledge of exhibition experts. Second, using the PMML, the system can automate the process of applying data mining models to solve real-time processing problems in the exhibition environment.

Implementation of Temperature and Humidity Sensor Module Based on Z-wave (Z-Wave 기반의 온습도 센서 모듈 구현)

  • The most commonly used wireless communication technologies in IoT technology include ZigBee, WiFi, Bluetooth, and Z-Wave. In particular, Z-Wave is currently one of the preferred wireless communication technologies, with a global market share of 60 % of these technologies. In this research, a temperature and humidity sensor module using a Z-wave protocol was designed and manufactured by referring to the data sheet. Subsequently, the Z-Wave protocol was analyzed during the operation of the sensor module, and the firmware of the controller module was mounted and implemented. In addition, a program for monitoring the temperature and humidity information from the sensor module was developed and validated. Finally, the performance of the sensor module was validated through master distance and low power tests on it and its reception data success rate.

  • In order to implement Artificial Intelligence, various technologies have been widely used. Artificial Intelligence is applied for many industrial product and machine tools are the center of manufacturing devices in intelligent manufacturing system. The purpose of this paper is to present the construction of Rule Base for knowledge structure that is applicable to machine tools. This system is that decision whether to act in accordance with machine status is support system. It constructs Rule Base of knowledge used of machine toots. The constructed Rule Base facilitates the effective operation and control of machine tools and will provide a systematic way to integrate the expert's knowledge that will apply Intelligent Machine Tools.

Research on Information Providing Method for Intelligent Navigation System

  • Background: Today, numerous telematics technologies, i.e., technologies developed by integrating telecommunications with information processing, are applied in vehicles. One such developmental application of this technology to vehicles is to increase the safety or convenience of drivers by providing them with necessary information such as warnings and information on emergencies and traffic situations. However, under certain conditions, there is a high probability of traffic accidents if the driving workload is high. Nowadays, the navigation system is frequently used in the vehicles, this system provides various information including route to the driver. But, the existing navigation systems are not only considered a driver's reaction but also provide unilaterally to the information regardless of them. Such one-side information service type may miss important information to the driver. In addition, it sometimes interferes safety driving. Objective: To solve this problem, the intelligent navigation system needs to the providing way that it checks the driver's reactions after providing information. Namely, if the driver passes the information received from the navigation, then the intelligent system provides more loudly and more frequently. Method: Therefore, in this study we introduce the intelligent navigation system that it automatically controls modality type and its strength when the driver misses or overlooks the information for their safety and entertainment and we analyze the driver's cognitive responses about the modality type and its strength. Results: To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed system, we analyzed the reaction time and driving workload for each type of the information, modality and its strength. Also we evaluated the users' subjective satisfaction and understanding based on a questionnaire.

A R&D strategies for development using structured association map (구조화된 연관맵을 이용한 연구개발 전략 수립)

  • A technology is continuously developed in a rapidly changing global market. A company requires an appropriate R&D strategy for adapting to this environment. That is, the technologies owned by the company needs to be thoroughly analyzed to improve its competitiveness. Alternatively, technology classification using IPC codes is carried out recently in an objective and quantitative way. International Patent Classification, IPC is an internationally specified classification system, so it is helpful to conduct an objective and quantitative patent analysis of technology. In this study, all of the patents owned by company C are investigated and a matrix representing IPC codes of each patent is created. Then, a structured association map of the patents is made through association rules mining based on Confidence. The association map can be used to inspect the current situation of a company about patents. It also allows highly associated technologies to be clustered. Using the association map, this study analyzes the technologies of company C and how it changes with time. The strategy for future technologies is established based on the result.

  • Studies on the intelligent vehicles that are fused with IT and intelligent vehicle technologies are currently under active discussion. And many new service models for them are being developed. As intelligent vehicles are being actively developed, a variety of wireless services are support. As such intelligent vehicles use wireless network, they are exposed to the diverse sources of security risk. This paper aims to examine the factors to threaten intelligent vehicle, which are usually intruded through network system and propose the security solution using biometric authentication technique. The proposed security system employs biometric authentication technique model that can distinguish the physical characteristics of user.

The Effects of Hedonic Versus Utilitarian Attributes on the Consumer Acceptance of Intelligent Products (지능형제품의 쾌락적 속성과 실용적 속성이 소비자 수용도에 미치는 영향)

  • Recently, an intelligent product in which information and robotic technologies are applied to an existing common product, called a mother product has been developed. In order to develop intelligent products which could be accepted by users, various intelligent product design methods have been introduced considering various interaction aspects or intelligent parts to be made. However, as an intelligent product is originated in a mother product, intelligent product design methods based on product attributes need to be explored. In this study, the impact of intelligent product types by product attributes on users' acceptance was investigated by comparing hedonic intelligent products and utilitarian intelligent products. An experiment was executed with child slippers as a case. As a result, participants evaluated utilitarian intelligent products more positively than hedonic intelligent products. They showed higher purchase intention and willingness to pay toward utilitarian intelligent products than hedonic intelligent products. In the case of child slippers, even though the hedonic attributes could be expected as they are child products, utilitarian attributes were perceived as much more important than hedonic attributes as the child slippers are related to the floor noise which is a severe social problem.

  • In this paper, an intelligent control strategy for a mobile vehicle, based on the technology of the artificial neural network in a Neurocomputer, is presented. The mobile vehicle learned recognizing and driving knowledge by a neurocomputer. Moment Invariants computation was used to extract the shape of objects. The technologies of both neurocomputer and Neumann-type computer are applied into the control system, and make the mobile vehicle be capable of tracking designated objects and avoiding obstacles.
