Modeling and Design of Intelligent Agent System

  • In this study, we investigated the modeling and design of an Intelligent Agent System (IAS). To achieve this goal, we introduced several kinds of agents that exhibit intelligent features. These are the main agent, management agent, watcher agent, report agent and application agent. We applied the intelligent agent concept to two different application fields, i.e. the intelligent agent system for pattern classification and the intelligent agent system for bank asset management modeling.

  • In this paper, the automatic steering system for unmanned vehicle was developed. The vision system is used for the lane detection system. This paper defines two modes for detecting lanes on a road. First is searching mode and the other is recognition mode. We use inverse perspective transform and a linear approximation filter for accurate lane detections. The PD control theory is used for the design of the controller to compare with $H_{\infty}$ control theory. The $H_{\infty}$ control theory is used for the design of the controller to reduce the disturbance. The performance of the PD controller and $H_{\infty}$ controller is compared in simulations and tests. The PD controller is easy to tune in the test site. The $H_{\infty}$ controller is robust for the disturbances in the test results.

An Intelligent Intrusion Detection Model

  • The Intrsuion Detecion Systems(IDS) are required the accuracy, the adaptability, and the expansion in the information society to be changed quickly. Also, it is required the more structured, and intelligent IDS to protect the resource which is important and maintains a secret in the complicated network environment. The research has the purpose to build the model for the intelligent IDS, which creates the intrusion patterns. The intrusion pattern has extracted from the vast amount of data. To manage the large size of data accurately and efficiently, the link analysis and sequence analysis among the data mining techniqes are used to build the model creating the intrusion patterns. The model is consist of "Time based Traffic Model", "Host based Traffic Model", and "Content Model", which is produced the different intrusion patterns with each model. The model can be created the stable patterns efficiently. That is, we can build the intrusion detection model based on the intelligent systems. The rules prodeuced by the model become the rule to be represented the intrusion data, and classify the normal and abnormal users. The data to be used are KDD audit data.

A Study on Intelligent Combat Robot Systems for Future Warfare

  • This study focuses on the development of intelligent combat robot systems for future warfare. The research is structured as follows: First, the introduction presents the rationale for researching intelligent combat robots and their potential to become game changers in future warfare. Second, in the context of the intelligent robot paradigm, this study proposes the need for military organizations to innovate their combat concepts and weapon systems through the effective utilization of Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive, Biometric, and Mechanical technologies. This forms the theoretical background of the study. Third, the analysis of intelligent robot systems considers five examples: humanoid robots, jumping robots, wheeled and quadrupedal pack robots, and tank robots. Finally, the discussion and conclusion propose that intelligent combat robots should be selected as game changers in military organizations for future warfare, and suggest further research in this area.
