  • This study concerned with the retention structures or inverted temporary building for displacement measurement in the underground soil after drilling a vertical tilt sensor attached to the vertical distance required to maintain a real-time measurement and management in order to install the wireless measuring devices installed in the field through remote control and management program for the safety of retaining structures temporary building be found on the internet in real time temporary building the retention is to develop a safety management system. And based on this technology to monitor the future status of the various structures possible to add a variety of sensors and Life Cycle Prediction of the structure and needs to evolve into intelligent systems and wireless networks using wireless communications infrastructure systems based on expanding domestic market penetration by developing instrumentation pioneer in overseas markets as well as the activation can also be judged.

  • 본 논문에서는 밸런싱 메커니즘의 두 바퀴 형태의 이동로봇(Two Wheeled Mobile Robot:TWMR)을 구현하고 제어한다. TWMR은 역진자 시스템과 이동로봇을 합친 모바일 역진자 구조로 기존의 막대 형태의 진자대신 두 팔 달린 로봇 형태를 나타낸다. 각도와 위치에 대한 동시제어에 있어 외란에 대한 강건성을 부여하기 위해 RBF 신경회로망 제어 방식을 사용한다. 신경회로망 제어 방식으로는 입력보상 방식(RCT)을 사용하여 제어기의 성능을 실험을 통해 검증한다. 또한 원격으로 제어가능하게 하도록 시스템을 구현하여 실험하였다.

  • Recently, there are lots of concerning on the integration of robot and virtual reality with the trends of the research of intelligent robot and mined reality. In this paper, a 3D GUI system is proposed based on Internet for remote controlling and monitoring of agent robot working for itself. The proposed system is consists of a manager ordering a new position and displaying the motion of robot, an agent robot moving to the destination according to the indication, a positioning module detecting the current position of robot, and a geographical information module. A user can order the robot agent move to a new position in a virtual space and watch the real images captured from the real sites of the robot. Then, the agent robot moves to the position automatically with avoiding collision by using range finding and a path detection algorithm. We demonstrate the proposed 3D GUI system is supporting a more convenient remote control means far the robots.

  • The technology convergence of television, communication, and computing devices enables the rich social and entertaining experience through Smart TV in personal living space. The powerful smart TV computing platform allows to provide various user interaction interfaces like IR remote control, web based control, body gesture based control, etc. The presently used smart TV interaction user control methods are not efficient and user-friendly to access different type of media content and services and strongly required advanced way to control and access to the smart TV with easy user interface. This paper propose the optical wireless communication (OWC) based remote controller design for Smart TV using smart device Flashlights. In this approach, the user smart device act as a remote controller with touch based interactive smart device application and transfer the user control interface data to smart TV trough Flashlight using visible light communication method. The smart TV built-in camera follows the optical camera communication (OCC) principle to decode data and control smart TV user access functions according. This proposed method is not harmful as radio frequency (RF) radiation does it on human health and very simple to use as well user does need to any gesture moves to control the smart TV.

  • The automatic determination of vehicle operation status as well as continuous tracking of vehicle location with intelligent management is one of major elements to achieve the goals. Especially, vehicle operation status can only be analyzed in terms of expert experiences with real-time location data with scheduling information. However the scheduling information of individual vehicle is very difficult to be interpreted immediately because there are hundreds of thousand vehicles are run at the same time in the national wide range workplace. In this paper, we propose the location-based knowledge management system(LKMs) using the active trajectory analysis method with routing and scheduling information to cope with the problems. This system uses an inference technology with dispatching and geographic information to generate the logistics knowledge that can be furnished to the manager in the central vehicle monitoring and controlling center.

  • Rapid population growth with high living standards and high electronics use for personal comfort has raised the electricity demand exponentially. To fulfill this elevated demand, conventional energy sources are shifting towards low production cost and long term usable alternative energy sources. Hybrid renewable energy systems (HRES) are becoming popular as stand-alone power systems for providing electricity in remote areas due to advancement in renewable energy technologies and subsequent rise in prices of petroleum products. Wind and solar power are considered feasible replacement to fossil fuels as the prediction of the fuel shortage in the near future, forced all operators involved in energy production to explore this new and clean source of power. Presented paper proposes fuzzy logic based Energy Management System (EMS) for Wind Turbine (WT), Photo Voltaic (PV) and Diesel Generator (DG) hybrid micro-grid configuration. Battery backup system is introduced for worst environmental conditions or high load demands. Dump load along with dump load controller is implemented for over voltage and over speed protection. Fuzzy logic based supervisory control system performs the power flow control between different scenarios such as battery charging, battery backup, dump load activation and DG backup in most intellectual way.

  • An intelligent miniature humanoid robot system is designed and implemented as a platform for researching walking algorithm. The robot system consists of a mechanical robot body, a control system, a sensor system, and a human interface system. The robot has 6 dofs per leg, 3 dofs per arm, and 2 dofs for a neck, so it has total of 20 dofs to have dexterous motion capability. For the control system, a supervisory controller runs on a remote host computer to plan high level robot actions based on the vision sensor data, a main controller implemented with a DSP chip generates walking trajectories for the robot to perform the commanded action, and an auxiliary controller implemented with an FPGA chip controls 20 actuators. The robot has three types of sensors. A two-axis acceleration sensor and eight force sensing resistors for acquiring information on walking status of the robot, and a color CCD camera for acquiring information on the surroundings. As an example of an intelligent robot action, some experiments on playing soccer are performed.

  • The previous MCC's have the demerits of high cost and much manhour for rework because they are impossible for the standardization of products and have many manual connections. The customers require the products which can operate in connection with SCADA system by digitalizing the functions of the current MCC's and are systematized with capability of remote control. To solve these disadvantages and requirements, we developed the Electronic Motor Control System according to starting type for applying to fields based on this. This system has the various functions such as protection, measurement, and communication. Using these functions, it can monitor motor status through communication with the upper system and define the circuit for lower connection cost according to starting type and shorter manufacture period by program. The development of this product results in establishment of competitive structure with domestic competition and perfect automatic monitoring through linkage with SCADA system. In addition, it provides the comparable dominancy of receiving on orders in switch gear and adaptability to change of MCC market in Japan and Europe.

  • Surveillance system on the internet has attained lots of interests recently. Computer gives surveillance system various functions like remote control and motion detecting. In this paper. auto target tracking system using Pan/Tilt camera is suggested. It consists of UNIX server and Pan/Tilt camera. When UNIX server detect motions from images it sends Pan/Tilt command to camera and camera moves by command. After finishing movement camera replies to server and server starts detecting motion again. To improve performance of motion detecting and tracking images are divided into 9 sub-regions and camera behaves differently. It is certain that robust tracking is achieved when sub-region is applied.

  • Nowadays, due to development of automatic control devices and various sensors, one operator can freely handle several remote plants and processes. Automatic diagnosis and warning systems have been adopted in various fields, in order to prepare an operator's absence for patrolling plants. In this paper, a Bayesian networks based on-line diagnosis system is proposed for a wastewater treatment process. Especially, the suggested system is included learning structure, which can continuosly update conditional probabilities in the networks. To evaluate performance of proposed model, we made a lab-scale five-stage step-feed enhanced biological phosphorous removal process plant and applied on-line diagnosis system to this plant in the summer.
