  • lots of problems are emerged on the conventional surveillance systems at urban railway infrastructure. Many projects and research activities have been processing on those problems. Moreover, The interest in Intelligent Video Surveillance System that provides accident prevention and safe driving in urban railway service is dramatically increasing. This paper represents a drawback of existing studies and introduces a new solution using RFID TAG technology to improve the existing problems. Finally, it describes the practice test of automatic notification system based USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) for a dangerous situation.

  • 오늘날, 현대인들의 생활 속에서 스마트폰을 빼놓을 수 없을 만큼 스마트폰을 장시간 이용하는 사람들이 많다. 스마트폰 이용시간이 늘어날수록 목을 숙인 자세를 유지하게 되며, 이는 VDT 증후군 중 거북목증후군을 발생시킬 가능성이 높다. 본 논문에서는 사용자의 목 각도를 유추해 거북목 자세가 일정시간 유지될 때 알림기능을 제공하는 애플리케이션을 개발하였다. 애플리케이션을 통해 스마트폰 사용자들이 자신의 자세를 인지하고 올바른 자세로 교정할 수 있도록 유도하였다. 본 애플리케이션은 스마트폰의 기울기에 따라 사용자의 목각도를 추측하기 때문에, 스마트폰의 기울기와 목각도간의 상관성 분석 실험을 수행하여 애플리케이션의 유효성을 입증하였다.

  • In the era of home automation, we need more context-aware and intelligent service applications than before. For these applications, a service gateway as a platform is required to bridge the gap between external data networks to internal home networks. Also, the sonics gateway enables customers to receive new classes of home services. The OSGi service platform is a good solution for the service gateway since it can deliver new applications dynamically from a broader network.   • Vehicular communications is system which can be applied for transmission of various safety messages or Intelligent Transportation Systems(ITS) applications by combining vehicle/road technology with Information and Communication Technology(ICT). In recent years, a variety of ITS services are available such as driving information, road conditions, V2X messages as well as navigation and traffic jams notification. In general, vehicular communications can be used for vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication by adopting IEEE802.11p/1609 standard which is commonly known as wireless access in vehicular environments. In this paper, WAVE communication standard based on the IEEE802.11p is explained and signal characteristics in WAVE communication is introduced. Also, The H/W and S/W characteristics in Road Side Station and On Board Equipment for the Vehicle to Everything communication are analyzed. Received Signal Strength which is power of receiving signal of communication equipment is measured in test road to estimate the real WAVE communication's performance. It is shown that the implemented WAVE communication technology is satisfactory to provide ITS services.

Image Security System Using Push Server and Smart Device (푸시 서버와 스마트 디바이스를 이용한 영상보안 시스템)

  • Recently, the smart devices has been possessed by a large majority of the adult, and offered various personalization services. This paper proposed the lightweight Intelligent Image Security System that notice the existence of any intruder in real time at the place of requiring the security by using smart device. The proposed image security system recognized whether or not intruder exists using the difference frame on the basis of Integral Image and the dynamic background updating algorithms. The intrusion notification is achieved by using the GCM push server that send massages in the application unit of user mobile device, and the SMTP mail server which is use of e-mail standard protocol. In case of the occurrence of intruder, GCM push server send an push-massage by the private mobile device, and SMTP mail server send the intruder's photograph and intrusion time. By the convergence of the various image processing algorithms and the performance of smart device, The proposed image security system can be applied to the various Intelligent Image Security field.

Review on Security Communication Environment in Intelligent Vehicle Transport System (지능형 차량 교통체계에서 보안 통신 리뷰)

  • In this paper, we have interested in cooperative intelligent transport system and autonomous driving system, and focused on analysis of the characteristics of Cooperative Awareness Message (CAM) and Decentralized Environmental Notification Basis Service (DENM) message, which is key delivery message among cooperative intelligent transport system (C-ITS) characteristics for research objectivity. For research method, we also described V2X communication, and also analyzed the security certificate and header structure of CAM and DENM messages. We described CAM message, which is a message informing the position and status of the vehicle. And the DENM message is presented a message informing an event such as a vehicle accident, and analysis security communication, which is supported services. According to standard analysis result, 186 bits or 275 bits are used. In addition to the security header and the certificate format used for vehicle communication, we have gained the certificate verification procedure for vehicles and PKI characteristics for vehicles. Also We derived the characteristics and transmission capability of the security synchronization pattern required for V2X secure communication. Therefore when it is considered for communication service of DENM and CAM in the C-ITS environment, this paper may be meaningful result.

  • As the technology and level of autonomous vehicles advance and they drive in more diverse road environments, an intuitive and efficient interaction system is needed to resolve and respond to the situations the vehicle faces. The development of driving technology from the perspective of autonomous driving has the ultimate goal of responding to situations involving humans or more. In particular, in complex road environments where mutual concessions must be made, the role of a system that can respond flexibly through efficient communication methods to understand each other's situation between vehicles or between pedestrians and vehicles is important. In order to resolve the status of the vehicle or the situation being faced, the provision and method of information must be intuitive and the efficient operation of an autonomous vehicle through interaction with intention is required. In this paper, we explain the vehicle structure and functions that can display information about the situation in which the autonomous vehicle driving in a living lab can drive stably and efficiently in a diverse and complex environment.

Performance evaluation of WAVE communication systems under a high-speed driving condition in a highway (고속주행 환경에서의 WAVE 통신장치 성능분석)

  • In recent years, a variety of ITS services are available such as driving information, road conditions, V2X messages as well as navigation and traffic jams notification. The development of ITS services is accelerating by V2X communication technologies for high-speed vehicles. In this paper, WAVE communication devices based on the IEEE802.11p standard is introduced as a solution of V2X communication technologies. The H/W and S/W structures of the WAVE communication device and the characteristics of RF/antenna are described. The performance is evaluated in the test road by measuring throughput, PER and latency. The implemented WAVE communication device has 6~7 Mbps throughput with 10% PER at 1km coverage. The packet latency is less than 3ms for the whole test road. It is shown that the implemented WAVE technology is satisfactory to provide ITS services and Internet video-streaming services.

Implementation of a WIPI-based Intelligent Home Service Robot (WIPI 기반의 지능형 홈서비스 로봇의 구현)

  • In this paper, we implemented an intelligent home service robot system which alerts users to danger by wireless internet platforms for interoperability(WIPI) of a cellular phone. This paper discusses the three parts of the system: robot, middleware and mobile system. First, the robot consists of a gas sensor, a fire detector, ultrasonic sensors, motors, a camera and a Bluetooth module. The robot perceives various danger circumstances. Second, the middleware connects the robot and the mobile system. It monitors the robot and sends emergency notification SMS message to the user's cellular phone if in danger. Third, the mobile system sends commands which control the robot using TCP/IP protocol. The proposed scheme is to control the sensors of the robot part through Atmega 128 processor, and the robot and middleware parts will be installed in the household, and will be controled by mobile part from the outside.

  • Recently, home energy management system (HEMS) for power consumption reduction has been widely used and studied. The HEMS performs electric power consumption control for the indoor electric device connected to the HEMS. However, a traditional HEMS is used for passive control method using some particular power saving devices. Disadvantages with this traditional HEMS is that these power saving devices should be newly installed to build HEMS environment instead of existing home appliances. Therefore, an HEMS, which performs with existing home appliances, is needed to prevent additional expenses due to the purchase of state-of-the-art devices. In this paper, an intelligent inference algorithm for EMS at home for non-power saving electronic equipment, called legacy devices, is proposed. The algorithm is based on the adaptive network fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) and has a subsystem that notifies retraining schedule to the ANFIS to increase the inference performance. This paper discusses the overview and the architecture of the system, especially in terms of the retraining schedule. In addition, the comparison results show that the proposed algorithm is more accurate than the classic ANFIS-based EMS system.
