  • The 4th Industrial Revolution, intelligent automobile application technology is evolving beyond the limit of the mobile device to a variety of application software and multi-media collective technology with big data-based AI(artificial intelligence) technology. with the recent commercialization of 5G mobile communication service, artificial intelligent automobile technology, which is a fusion of automobile and IT technology, is evolving into more intelligent automobile service technology, and each multimedia platform service and application developed in such distributed environment is being developed Accordingly, application software technology developed with a single system SoC of a portable terminal device through various service technologies is absolutely required. In this paper, smart device design for ontology design of intelligent automobile open platform enables to design intelligent automobile middleware software design technology such as Android based SVC Codec and real time video and graphics processing that is not expressed in single ASIC application software technology as SoC based application designWe have experimented in smart device environment through researches, and newly designed service functions of various terminal devices provided as open platforms and application solutions in SoC environment and applied standardized interface analysis technique and proved this experiment.

  • This paper aims at developing remote contro system to control and monitor distributed various devices through internet or information communication network. SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) and rectifier operated in a row are adopted for network management protocol and applied device, respectively. For controlling and monitoring distributed devices in real-time java-environment software is constructed. Also general-use interface controller between network device and applied device is proposed. Finally, seria communication such as RS-232 and RS-485 is used between controller and applied device.

  • This paper aims at developing remote control system to control and monitor distributed various devices through internet or information communication network. SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) and UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) are adopted for network management protocol and applied device, respectively. For controlling and monitoring distributed devices in real-time, Java-environment software is constructed. Also, general-use interface controller between network device and applied device is proposed. Finally, serial communication such as RS-232 and RS-485 is used between controller and applied device.

미지물체를 안전하게 잡기 위한 지능형 그리퍼의 제어장치 개발 (Development of Intelligent Gripper Control Device to Safely Grip Unknown Objects)

  • In this study, we designed and manufactured an intelligent gripper-control device to safely grip unknown objects. The gripper control device consists of a DSP circuit, power supply circuit, communication circuit, and amplifier circuit diagrams. The DSP is used because the values of the 3-axis force sensor to which the gripper is attached are measured and calculated at high speeds. The gripping force is determined based on this value, and the object must be safely gripped with the determined value. A basic characteristic test of the control device of the manufactured intelligent gripper was conducted, and it was confirmed that it operated safely.

  • 본 논문에서는 주택의 전기화재 방지를 위해 아크고장전류로부터 아크 진단 기능을 가지는 지능형 분전반이 개발된다. 지능형 분전반의 주 제어장치는 단상전력관리를 지원하는 단상 전력관리 장치와 아크전류로부터 아크 고장을 진단하기 위한 아크 진단 장치로 구성된다. 본 논문에서는 단상 전력관리 장치와 아크진단장치의 시작품이 설계, 제작되며, 전기화재의 원인을 분전반으로부터 원격 서버 시스템에 전송하기 위해서 주제어장치와 아크 고장 진단 장치와의 연동기능이 개발된다.

Fabrication of a Breathing Assist Device for Saxophone Players with Breathing Problems

  • The aim of this study was to establish a breathing assist system for saxophone players with breathing problems. Although the saxophone is a popular wind instrument with a reed in its mouthpiece, it can be difficult for people with breathing problems to play this instrument, as it requires adequate breath support for deep and even long breaths. To solve this problem, the authors propose a breathing assist device, which functions like a pneumatic master-slave amplifier, for saxophone players with breathing problems. First, the proposed device is fabricated. Second, the effectiveness of the breathing assist device as a master-slave amplifier is confirmed through experiments. Third, the dynamic characteristics of the device are tested up to 10 Hz, and they demonstrate that the device responds well for up to approximately 5 Hz.

  • In this paper, web based monitoring systems are implemented for multi-axis force control systems of an intelligent robot. Linux operating systems are ported to an embedded system which Include a Xscale processor to implement a web based monitoring system. A device driver is developed to receive data from multi-axis force sensors of intelligent robots. To control this device driver, a socket program for Labview is also developed.

  • 본 논문에서는 지능형 엣지 컴퓨팅을 지원할 수 있는 경량 임베디드 기기를 설계하고, 영상 기기로부터 입력되는 이미지에서 객체를 실시간으로 빠르게 검출할 수 있음을 보인다. 제안하는 시스템은 산업 현장이나 군 지역과 같이 사전에 설치된 인프라가 없는 환경에 적용되는 지능형 영상 관제 시스템이나 드론과 같은 자율이동체에 탑재된 영상 보안 시스템에 적용될 수 있다. 지능형 비전 인지 시스템이 확산 적용되기 위해 온디바이스 AI(On-Device Artificial intelligence) 기술 적용 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 영상 데이터 취득 장치에서 가까운 엣지 기기로의 컴퓨팅 오프 로딩은 클라우드를 중심으로 수행되는 인공지능 서비스 대비 적은 네트워크 및 시스템 자원으로도 빠른 서비스 제공이 가능하다. 또한, 다양한 해킹 공격에 취약한 공격 표면의 감소와 민감한 데이터의 유출을 최소화 할 수 있어 다양한 산업에 안전하게 적용될 수 있을것으로 기대된다.

고중량물 운반을 위한 근력보조장치 개발 및 군 적합성 연구 (Development of Muscle-Strength-Assistant Device and Military Suitability for High-Weight Carrying)

  • In this research, we developed the muscle-strength-assistant device, named as LEXO-W, and conducted suitability test for army when transporting high weights. LEXO-W relieves the burden when carrying heavy weights by distributing the load concentrated on the arms throughout the body. LEXO-W weighs 4 kg and is designed to handle objects weighing up to 55 kg. To verify the effectiveness of the device, object handling tests (high explosive shell, simple assembly bridges, and ammunition boxes) were conducted. Working time, metabolic rate, and electromyogram (EMG) signals were measured in each test. As a result, it was confirmed that the working time, metabolic rate and EMG signal before and after wearing LEXO-W were decreased. This research has great significance in that it verified the performance of the wearable device from the perspective of military operation.

  • This paper describes an intelligent filler wire feeding device which can control 3- dimensional seam tracking and the filler wire speed by measuring the gap position and the joint gap width in laser welding. By means of visual sensor controlled filling the missing material into the joint gap and 3 dimensional seam tracking, lineup errors from manufacturing tolerances and the repeatability of lineup jigs and weld robot can be balanced and at an even seam quality which avoids weld defects. In this paper, we assessed weld quality in 2mm sheets of A16061 which had various gap width by using the intelligent filler wire feeding device.
