  • The purpose of this study is to develop the category, intelligent element technologies and detail items for application of intelligent school. The result of this study will be a basic data to improve the intelligent school. For this purpose, analyze domestic and foreign intelligent system and through interview, survey with professional group, developed item was evaluated and for verifying and reappraising the items the researcher visited and interviewed teachers of three elementary schools. Developed intelligent items were composed of twelve basic technologies and fifty-four detail technologies.

  • This paper proposes the system model that is more efficient and active than formal home automation system and it can conquer the limits of formal one using intelligent mobile robot. This system uses specialized intelligent mobile robot for home environment and the robot moves around home instead of human. We call the system model to HAuPIRS (Home Automation system using PDA based Intelligent Robot System). HAuPIRS control architecture is composed three parts and each part is User Level, Cognitive Level, Executive Level. It is easy to use system and possible to extend the home apparatusfrom new technology. We made the PBMoRo System (PDA Based Mobile Robot System) based on HAuPIRS architecture and verified the efficiency of the system model.

  • 본 논문에서는 기존 홈오토메이션 시스템보다 효율적이고 능동적인 시스템 모델을 제안하며, 기존 시스템의 한계점을 해결하기 위해서 지능형 이동 로봇을 사용한다. 제안된 시스템은 집안에서 사용하기에 적합하도록 특화된 로봇을 사용하며, 이 로봇은 사람 대신 집안을 돌아다닌다. 이 시스템 모델을 HAuPIRS (Home Automation system using PDA based Intelligent Robot System) 라고 부르기로 한다. HAuPIRS제어 구조는 사용자 레벨, 인지 레벨, 실행 레벨의 세 파트로 구성된다. 이 시스템은 사용하기 쉽고, 기술의 발전에 따른 새로운 가전기기가 나오더라도 확장이 가능하다 HAuPIRS제어 구조의 성능을 검증하기 위해서 HAuPIRS 제어 구조를 기반으로 한 PBMoRo System (PDA Based Mobile Robot System) 을 만들어 실험하였다.

  • 상황 인식을 통한 지능적인 시스템은 홈 자동화 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 매우 중요한 요소로서 강조된다. 본 논문에서 홈 자동화를 구현하기 위하여 홈 내부에서 일어나는 여러 가지 사건들을 사용자 각각에 대하여 다양한 장치를 이용하여 케이스 별로 수집하여 데이터를 저장하고, 케이스 별로 저장된 데이터를 트레이닝 데이터로 이용하여 신경회로망 알고리즘으로 학습을 시켜서 지능적인 홈 자동화 시스템을 구현한다. 이러한 지능적인 홈 자동화 시스템은 사용자에게 적절한 상황에 적절한 서비스를 스스로 판단하여 제공함으로서 거주자의 편의를 제공할 수 있다.

  • As the 21st century signifies an information-oriented society, the computer integration takes place in all walks of human presence. Needs for computer and network-integrated automation present new challenges in military as well as commercial facility systems engineering. Since the first intelligent building appeared in USA in 1984, it gradually became an essential capability for the building industry requirement these days. Intelligent Building System(IBS) is evolving to be very complex because there are many subsystems such as telecommunication(TC), office automation(OA), building automation(BA), security, construction environments, etc. During the planing phase of IBS development, therefore, a disciplined systems engineering must be performed to analyze stake- holder's requirements to build an optimized system while minimizing trial-and-error expenses and risks. This paper presents a conceptual design of BAS applying systems engineering methods. The contribution of this study includes the development of IBS subsystem specification for building automation subsystem, which is a part of IBS, using the methodology of requirement analysis, functional analysis, synthesis, and verification. A computer-aided systems engineering s/w, RDD-100, was used to improve the system design efficiency and to promote the product design knowledge management for reuse in later design programs.

  • Construction is a labor-intensive industry that heavily relies on skilled construction workers. However, the aging of the workforce is rapidly growing, and the shortage of skilled workers is intensifying. The application of construction robotics technology can solve the problem of workforce shortage and guarantee construction productivity, safety, and quality improvement. This study presents a framework of the functional analysis for construction processes and work tasks that classifies and analyzes processes and work tasks for construction robotics design. The framework presents the functional analysis process, which analyzes workers' attributes and identifies functions of construction robotics.

인텔리전트 아파트 거주자의 홈 오토메이션 시스템 사용현황과 만족도 (A Study on the Utilization and Satisfaction of Home Automation System -Focused on Residents Living in an Intelligent Apartment-)

  • The purpose of this study was to define the residents' current uses and satisfaction of a home automation system. The data were collected from 85 residents living in a selected intelligent apartment, from whom 72 were used for the final analysis. The results were as follows: 1) The educational background was the most significant variable affecting differences among the groups in terms of use of the home automation system. 2) Even though the over 50 years age group showed a tendency toward lower technology acceptance, their utilization rates of the home automation system were higher than those of the under 40 years age group. 3) The respondents with dual income showed higher rates of utilization of the home automation system than the single income group. 4) In spite of positive satisfaction level for the home automation system, many improvements were still requested.

Developing Intelligent Control Modules with LonTalk Protocol for Intelligent Building System & Home Automation

  • There are many economic and operational reasons to integrate fire alarm signaling system with other building automation system. Integration of this requires open network with for the standard communication protocol and careful design practices. The important point for this is also the development of intelligent control modules for replacing the conventional zone adapter in fire system. Therefore, this paper proposes an new conceptual design of the open distributed fire alarm signaling system for the integration of BAS, a new intelligent control modules with LonTalk protocol and a new control modules for power line communication. Newly proposed additions to LonWorks network make it very well suited for integrating fire systems with other building automation sub-systems and another BAS with low cost. Additionally, it is very important that best design practices, test procedures and building codes need to be modernized to accommodate integrated building systems.

  • Intelligent distribution automation system includes operating a switchgear of distribution system remotely when switchgear are not available to operate quickly. This system makes it possible to reduce the interrupt time. It also aims to improve the reliability of customers. Currently, Intelligent distribution automation improves the reliability by replacing manual switchgear, which is installed as sectional switchgear. However the prioritization of the replacement for the switchgear is required for its intellectualization. Many studies have been conducted related with prioritization of switchgear replacement. But it is difficult to interpret and apply to the power distribution system. That is because most of the studies just considers customer numbers for prioritizing the replacement. In this paper presents an algorithm to determine the intelligent swichgear replacement priority considering customer number, load quantity and interruption cost. Further, this algorithm is verified by using system reliability index.
