  • In this paper, we propose a NPC decision making model based on Prospect Theory which tries to model real-life choice, rather than optimal decision. For this purpose, we analyse the problems of reference point setting, diminishing sensitivity and loss aversion which are known as limitations of the utility theory and then apply these characteristics into the decision making in game. Dynamic Terrain Analysis is utilized to evaluate the proposed model and experimental result shows the method have effects on inducing diverse personality and emergent behavior on NPC.

  • Most of solution methods in scheduling attempt to generate good solutions by either developing algorithms or heuristic rules. However, scheduling problems in the real world require considering more factors such as multiple objectives, different combinations of heuristic rules due to problem characteristics. In this respect, the traditional mathematical a, pp.oach showed limited performance so that new a, pp.oaches need to be developed. Expert system is one of them. When an expert system is developed for scheduling one of the most difficult processes faced could be knowledge acquisition on scheduling heuristics. In this paper we propose a method for the acquisition of knowledge on the selection of scheduling heuristics using Dempster-Shafer Theory(DST). We also show the examples in the multi-objectives environment.

  • This research studies NPCs applied by Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) Technology. This study set three independent variables as characteristics of the NPCs applied GPT. User immersion is set as a mediator variable, while user game satisfaction and loyalty are chosen as dependent variables. The Stimulus-Organism-Response (SOR) theory is employed to study user attitude changes, and immersion is examined through the Flow Theory. The study found that interactions between NPCs and users directly and indirectly influence user satisfaction and loyalty. This suggests that NPCs capable of providing users with desired information, rather than merely following predetermined protocols, can enhance the user's affinity for the game. Furthermore, the intelligence and human-likeness of NPCs were found to indirectly influence satisfaction and loyalty through immersion. These findings underscore the importance of GPT-applied NPCs in the gaming industry, with potential implications for the future development and enhancement of such NPCs within games.

  • Segmentation plays an important role in the field of image processing and computer vision. Intuitionistic fuzzy C-means (IFCM) clustering algorithm emerged as an effective technique for image segmentation in recent years. However, standard fuzzy C-means (FCM) and IFCM algorithms are sensitive to noise and initial cluster centers, and they ignore the spatial relationship of pixels. In view of these shortcomings, an improved algorithm based on IFCM is proposed in this paper. Firstly, we propose a modified non-membership function to generate intuitionistic fuzzy set and a method of determining initial clustering centers based on grayscale features, they highlight the effect of uncertainty in intuitionistic fuzzy set and improve the robustness to noise. Secondly, an improved nonlinear kernel function is proposed to map data into kernel space to measure the distance between data and the cluster centers more accurately. Thirdly, the local spatial-gray information measure is introduced, which considers membership degree, gray features and spatial position information at the same time. Finally, we propose a new measure of intuitionistic fuzzy entropy, it takes into account fuzziness and intuition of intuitionistic fuzzy set. The experimental results show that compared with other IFCM based algorithms, the proposed algorithm has better segmentation and clustering performance.

Some of them may come up with acute Stress Disorder and some may having with grievances. But most of people overcome their traumatic condition with using their Emotional Intelligence and Resilience capacities. This article is focused on indicating basic mechanisms and resources in which can be lead to have better social rehabilitation along with the matters that can be important in trauma coping. The later part of the article appeals the concept of social work theory highlighting the psych dynamic approach which can be impact positively on psycho social rehabilitation. Traumatic experiences are really unpredictable and it can be resulted Post Traumatic Stress Disorders, Post traumatic growth in the end. But developing skills that required to overcoming trauma is facilitated by the Emotional Intelligence, Resilience, and Coping capacities that people having with. Exposure to a traumatic experience and not having a PTSD is determined by the many other factors such as social support system and government facilitation of the wellbeing afterwards the trauma. Here in this article the basic components of Emotional Intelligence, Resilience, and coping mechanisms have been considered as the major factors.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and validate a Children's Play Disposition Scale(CPDS) which could be used to evaluate children's play patterns and preferences. The participants of this study were parents of 437 5-7-year-old children (age range from 51months to 106months). Preliminary items were developed through a review of relevant research, multiple intelligence theory and scales, confirmation of item adequacy and content validity. After the content validity was confirmed by experts, these items were edited down to a final list of 27 items representing 6 factors identified by exploratory factor analysis. The 6 factors of the scale consists of initiative, linguistic activity, logical-mathematical activity, art and craft, physical activity, and sensitivity respectively. Concurrent validity was established by using correlations between each factor of the CPDS and sub-factors and the total scores of Multiple Intelligence Checklist for preschoolers (Multiple Intelligence Institute Co., Ltd, 2008) and Multiple Intelligence Checklist for elementary schoolers (Multiple Intelligence Institute Co., Ltd, 2007). In addition, the reliability of each factor, as measured by Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, ranged from .53 to .79. The CPDS provides the developmental and educational information for strengthening children's developmental forte and for supporting children's developmental weakness. This scale can be used on developing children's play contents and guiding play methods in the future.

  • Human being has attempted to solve the problem of imperfect knowledge for a long time. In 1982 Pawlak proposed the rough set theory to manipulate the problem in the area of artificial intelligence. The rough set theory has two interesting properties: one is that a rough set is considered as distinct sets according to distinct knowledge bases, and the other is that distinct rough sets are considered as one same set in a certain knowledge base. This leads to a significant philosophical interpretation: a concept (or an event) may be understood as different ones from different perspectives, while different concepts (or events) may be understood as a same one in a certain perspective. This paper claims that such properties of rough set theory produce a mathematical model to support critical realism and theory ladenness of observation in the philosophy of science.

  • Keeping in line with the recent changes in the information technology environment, the online learning environment that supports multiple users' participation such as MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses) has become important. One of the largest professional associations in Information Technology, IEEE Computer Society, announced that "Supporting New Learning Styles" is a crucial trend in 2014. Popular MOOC services, CourseRa and edX, have continued to build active learning environment with a large number of lectures accessible anywhere using smart devices, and have been used by an increasing number of users. In addition, collaborative web services (e.g., blogs and Wikipedia) also support the creation of various user-uploaded learning materials, resulting in a vast amount of new lectures and learning materials being created every day in the online space. However, it is difficult for an online educational system to keep a learner' motivation as learning occurs remotely, with limited capability to share knowledge among the learners. Thus, it is essential to understand which materials are needed for each learner and how to motivate learners to actively participate in online learning system. To overcome these issues, leveraging the constructivism theory and collective intelligence, we have developed a social bookmarking system called WeStudy, which supports learning material sharing among the users and provides personalized learning material recommendations. Constructivism theory argues that knowledge is being constructed while learners interact with the world. Collective intelligence can be separated into two types: (1) collaborative collective intelligence, which can be built on the basis of direct collaboration among the participants (e.g., Wikipedia), and (2) integrative collective intelligence, which produces new forms of knowledge by combining independent and distributed information through highly advanced technologies and algorithms (e.g., Google PageRank, Recommender systems). Recommender system, one of the examples of integrative collective intelligence, is to utilize online activities of the users and recommend what users may be interested in. Our system included both collaborative collective intelligence functions and integrative collective intelligence functions. We analyzed well-known Web services based on collective intelligence such as Wikipedia, Slideshare, and Videolectures to identify main design factors that support collective intelligence. Based on this analysis, in addition to sharing online resources through social bookmarking, we selected three essential functions for our system: 1) multimodal visualization of learning materials through two forms (e.g., list and graph), 2) personalized recommendation of learning materials, and 3) explicit designation of learners of their interest. After developing web-based WeStudy system, we conducted usability testing through the heuristic evaluation method that included seven heuristic indices: features and functionality, cognitive page, navigation, search and filtering, control and feedback, forms, context and text. We recruited 10 experts who majored in Human Computer Interaction and worked in the same field, and requested both quantitative and qualitative evaluation of the system. The evaluation results show that, relative to the other functions evaluated, the list/graph page produced higher scores on all indices except for contexts & text. In case of contexts & text, learning material page produced the best score, compared with the other functions. In general, the explicit designation of learners of their interests, one of the distinctive functions, received lower scores on all usability indices because of its unfamiliar functionality to the users. In summary, the evaluation results show that our system has achieved high usability with good performance with some minor issues, which need to be fully addressed before the public release of the system to large-scale users. The study findings provide practical guidelines for the design and development of various systems that utilize collective intelligence.

  • These days, school education is making every possible effort to bring up a human able to opposed creatively to 21 century social, because of society is global and informational step by step. For this, the special activity in the seventh curriculum is expended and reorganized from three areas to five areas. On the other hand, the special activity is pushed ahead with the developmental activity in consideration of student's ability and aptitude. However, the teachers are difficult to organize of the developmental activity in based on student's ability and aptitude. Because of developmental activity is organized in the beginning of a term, not only the teachers are fallen to realize student's ability and aptitude but also students ignore ability and aptitude themselves. Therefore this paper designs a program based on MI(Multiple Intelligence) theory to compose developmental activity effectively. Up to now, MI is introduced nine kinds of intelligence, Linguistic Intelligence, Logical-Mathematical Intelligence, Musical Intelligence, Spatial Intelligence, Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence, Interpersonal Intelligence, Intrapersonal Intelligence, Naturalist Intelligence, and Existentialist intelligence. this paper designs the K-MIDAS test[1] based on seven kinds of intelligence areas and implements developmental activity program suit to student's ability and aptitude based on the MI test result.
