  • The purpose of this research is to examine how emotional intelligence has a moderating effect on the relationship between emotional dissonance and job burnout and to investigate a mediating relationship between emotional dissonance and turnover intention through job burnout. To test the hypotheses, moderation analysis, mediation analysis and moderated mediation analysis were performed. Of the 300 self-report questionnaires distributed to hotel employees, 233 usable responses were received and utilized in the final analyses. The results show that emotional dissonance significantly affected job burnout, and job burnout completely mediated the effect of emotional dissonance on turnover intention. Additionally, emotional intelligence moderated the relationship between emotional dissonance and job burnout, suggesting that the emotional dissonance-job burnout relationship was stronger in the low emotional intelligence group than in the high emotional intelligence group. Particularly, emotional intelligence moderated the mediating relationship between emotional dissonance and life style intention via job burnout(moderated mediation effect), indicating that the mediation effect was stronger in the low emotional intelligence group. Therefore, hotel managers should efficiently implement strategies and programs to reduce emotional dissonance and job burnout and enhance emotional intelligence, which lead to lower turnover intention.

  • This study was to confirm the effect of emotional intelligence on organizational commitment of general hospital nurses and the mediating effect of affect. Data was collected using a structured online self-report questionnaire on emotional intelligence, organizational commitment, and both negative and positive affect from 236 nurses working in general hospitals. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, and a parallel multiple mediation model. This analysis was conducted with IBM SPSS Statistics (Version 27.0) and the PROCESS macro (Model 4). This study's findings revealed that emotional intelligence was significant correlated with positive affect, negative affect, and organizational commitment. Emotional intelligence had a significant direct effect on positive affect (β=.16, p=.015), negative affect (β=-.28, p<.001), and organizational commitment (β=.33, p<.001). Positive affect (β=.20, p=.001) and negative affect (β=-.25, p<.001), had a significant direct effect on organizational commitment. And the mediating effect of positive affect (β=.03, 95% bootstrap CI=0.01~0.07) and negative affect (β=.07, 95% bootstrap CI=0.03~0.12) was also significant. Based on these research results, it will be necessary to research various training programs that can manage emotional intelligence and affect together in developing programs to improve nurses' organizational commitment.

  • The research deals with the changes of the laws related to gifted education focusing on the Marland Report. As result, contrary to conventional argument for the beginning of legal ground for gifted education, 1958's National Defense Education Act(P. L. 85~864) which stipulated the article for 'identification and encouragement' for 'able students' can be said the first legislation of gifted education in the level of federal government. In the case of definition of the gifted, prior to 1972's Marland Report, there was the first legal definition in the Section 806 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act(P. L. 91~230, 1970), which said "Children who have outstanding intellectual ability or creative talent". However Marland Report expanded the realm of the gifted from the area of intelligence to the area of leadership, art and psychomotor ability. On the basis of Marland Report, in 1974 the Office of Gifted and Talented was set up in the Department of Education for dealing with gifted education in federal. Further, Marland emphasized the importance of stipulating article related to funds for gifted education in law. Without manifesting funds for gifted education in law, he knew very well how hard it was to practice gifted education in reality. This implies that regulation funds for gifted education is crucial for effective actualization of gifted education.

Data were collected by self-report questionnaires from February 27 to March 30, 2017. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and Multiple regression and Sobel test to test the significance of a mediation effect using SPSS 23 software. Emotional intelligence were significantly positive correlations with critical thinking disposition(r=.62, p<.001) and clinical competence(r=.60, p<.001) in new graduate nurses immediately after graduation. • In this paper, a study was conducted to find a self-diagnosis method to prevent the spread of COVID-19 based on machine learning. COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. According to WHO(World Health Organization)'s situation report published on May 18th, 2020, COVID-19 has already affected 4,600,000 cases and 310,000 deaths globally and still increasing. The most severe problem of COVID-19 virus is that it spreads primarily through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose when an infected person coughs or sneezes, which occurs in everyday life. And also, at this time, there are no specific vaccines or treatments for COVID-19. Because of the secure diffusion method and the absence of a vaccine, it is essential to self-diagnose or do a self-diagnosis questionnaire whenever possible. But self-diagnosing has too many questions, and ambiguous standards also take time. Therefore, in this study, using SVM(Support Vector Machine), Decision Tree and correlation analysis found two vital factors to predict the infection of the COVID-19 virus with an accuracy of 80%. Applying the result proposed in this paper, people can self-diagnose quickly to prevent COVID-19 and further prevent the spread of COVID-19.
