In the current digital age, most of the countries in the world recognize the electronic business to be a very prospective area in the future and plan to activate for the preoccupation of the business. As a result, this led a rapid increase of the electronic business volume. Electronic business takes place in the cyber space, using internet. However, the intellectual property rights have a high degree of possibility of being infringed as the digitalized intellectual property is easy to receive, copy and transmit in the cyber space. The language structure on the web, represented by HTML, makes easier to copy the intellectual property. And, as the internet has no national boundary, the infringement of the intellectual property rights is easier regardless of country, which could lead to the commercial disputes between the concerned countries. There are in fact many legal disputes nowadays on the infringement of the intellectual property rights in such field as computer programming, infringement of the copyright, business model patent and infringement of the trademark right on the registered name of the domain. It is, therefore, time now to prepare a new theory or legal system to protect the intellectual property rights on copyright, patent and trademark right so as to comply with the digital environment together with such a splendid growth of "electronic business." USA and Germany are nowadays making a significant movement on the legislation of the electronic business, and this study will focus on the legislative contents, judicial precedents and interpretation of law in the above countries.

This study examined the characteristics of two keyword types expressing the topics in the intellectual structure analysis based on the co-word analysis, focused on overseas open access field. Specifically, the keyword set extracted from the LISTA database in the field of library and information science was divided into two types (controlled keywords and uncontrolled keywords), and the results of performing intellectual structure analysis based on co-word analysis were compared. As a result, the two keyword types showed significant differences by keyword sets, research maps and influences, and periods. Therefore, in intellectual structure analysis based on co-word analysis, the characteristics of each keyword type should be considered according to the purpose of the study. In other words, it would be more appropriate to use controlled keywords for the purpose of examining the overall research trend in a specific field from the perspective of the entire academic field, and to use uncontrolled keywords for the purpose of identifying detailed trends by research area from the perspective of the specific field. In addition, for a comprehensive intellectual structure analysis that reflects both viewpoints, it can be said that it is most desirable to compare and analyze the results of using controlled keywords and uncontrolled keywords individually.

Due to the development of science and technology, the convergence of various disciplines has been fostered. Accordingly, interdisciplinary studies have increasingly been expanded by integrating knowledge and methodology from different disciplines. The primary focus of biblimetric methods is on investigating the intellectual structure a field, and analysis of the characterization of interdisciplinary studies is overlooked. In this study, we aim to identify the intellectual structure of the field of medical informatics through author co-citation analysis and co-word analysis by the representative journal "IEEE ENG MED BIOL." In addition, we examine authors and MeSH Terms of top three representative journals for further analysis of the field. We examine the intellectual structure of the medical informatics field by author and word clusters to identify the network structure of medical informatics disciplines.

In Korean Studies, there have been made many studies for finding the identity as the intrinsic academic field, because the Korean studies have complex intertwined characteristics with other fields. However, previous related studies have been mostly focused on the qualitative content analysis method related to the major Korean Studies, the study applying the bibliometric method was not conducted. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to draw intellectual structures about the domestic and overseas Korean studies academic papers applying the bibliometric methods, and to analyze content of intellectual structures by focus group interview (FGI). As the result of this study, the intellectual structure in the domestic Korean Studies had the characteristics of the Humanities, and the intellectual structure in the foreign Korean Studies had the characteristics of the Social Sciences. Also, the domestic Korean Studies encompassed a wide range of period from ancient to modern times, while the foreign Korean Studies focused on a modern and contemporary times. This study has a significance in the way that it is the first study to draw the intellectual structures in the domestic and foreign Korean Studies applying the bibliometric method, and then to carry out the comprehensive analysis through FGI with specialists in Korean Studies. However, in order to do more meaningful one-to-one comparison studies about the field of the domestic and foreign Korean Studies, many follow-up co-studies reflecting diverse opinions of many researchers in Korean Studies will be necessary.

This study aims to analyze and to demonstrate the research trends and intellectual structure in the field of catalog in the 2000s and 2010s through co-word analysis. The field of catalog had firmly established its own research area and Many differences were found in research trends and intellectual structures in the 2000s and 2010s. First, the average number of articles decreased by 4.2 in the 2010s compared to the 2000s, but the number of author keywords was not significantly different. Only 22.2% of keywords appeared more than three times in both periods, and 77.8% of keywords appeared more than three times in one period. Second, in terms of intellectual structure, the 2000s, represented by three-level clusters, formed a more complex network than the 2010s, represented by two-level clusters. Third, as a result of examining the changes in the characteristics of each cluster, there were some research topics with few changes, but many research topics were more actively progressed or subdivided, and decreased. The results of this study are meaningful in that they can visually grasp the intellectual structure along with the trend of the age of catalogue, and can prepare for related education and research by predicting the future.

Data Science is emerging as a closely related field of study to Library and Information Science (LIS), and as an interdisciplinary subject combining LIS, statistics and computer science in an attempt to understand the value of data by applying what LIS has been doing for collecting, storing, organizing, analyzing, and utilizing information. To investigate which subject fields other than LIS, statistics, and computer science are related to Data Science, this study retrieved 667 materials from Web of Science Core Collection, extracted terms representing Web of Science Categories, examined subject fields that are studying Data Science using descriptive analysis, analyzed the intellectual structure of the field by co-word analysis and network analysis, and visualized the results as a Pathfinder network with clustering created with the PNNC clustering algorithm. The result of this study might help to understand the intellectual structure of the Data Science field, and may be helpful to give an idea for developing relatively new curriculum.

With the recent development of the ICT (information and communication technology), the revolution of the industry has moved on from the third industry to the fourth. There is no doubt that the companies would not survive in the future without adopting these technologies. The purpose of this research is to analyze the intellectual structure of the internet of things(IoT) literature for the Industry 4.0 to suggest a better insight for the field. The data for this research is extracted from the Web of Science database. Total of 1,631 documents and 72,754 references are used for the research with the analysis program CiteSpace. Author co-citation analysis is used to analyze the intellectual structure and performed clustering, timeline and burst detection analysis. We identified 12 sub-areas of IoT for the Industry 4.0 which are 'Supply Chain', 'Digital Twin', 'Smart Manufacturing System' and etc. Through the timeline analysis we can find out which clusters will increase or decrease its reputation. As concluding remarks, limitations and further research suggestions are discussed.

This paper examines the effects of intellectual property protection policies on upstream firms' R&D investments in order to derive policy implications in relation to the fostering of the intermediate goods industry. To that end, the dependence on import of intermediate goods and the degree of protection of intellectual property rights are introduced into the model to analyze the effects of R&D investments on the dependence on imports and the effects of intellectual property rights protection policies on the level of R&D investments in order and the social welfare effects are also checked. The policy implications derived in this paper, which used an oligopolistic market model with a vertical specialization structure, are as follows. As R&D investments expand, upstream firm begins to have price competitiveness, the dependence on import of intermediate goods by downstream firm decreases, and social welfare increases. That is, in order to strengthen the independence of the intermediate goods industry, R&D investments by upstream firm should be expanded, and to promote this, the government should strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights.

As the usage of information resources produced in various media and forms has been increased, the importance of metadata as a tool of information organization to describe the information resources becomes increasingly crucial. The purposes of this study are to analyze and to demonstrate the intellectual structure in the field of metadata through co-word analysis. The data set was collected from the journals which were registered in the Core collection of Web of Science citation database during the period from January 1, 1998 to July 8, 2016. Among them, the bibliographic data from 727 journals was collected using Topic category search with the query word 'metadata'. From 727 journal articles, 410 journals with author keywords were selected and after data preprocessing, 1,137 author keywords were extracted. Finally, a total of 37 final keywords which had more than 6 frequency were selected for analysis. In order to demonstrate the intellectual structure of metadata field, network analysis was conducted. As a result, 2 domains and 9 clusters were derived, and intellectual relations among keywords from metadata field were visualized, and proposed keywords with high global centrality and local centrality. Six clusters from cluster analysis were shown in the map of multidimensional scaling, and the knowledge structure was proposed based on the correlations among each keywords. The results of this study are expected to help to understand the intellectual structure of metadata field through visualization and to guide directions in new approaches of metadata related studies.

This study aims to introduce an emerging prescriptive analytics method and suggest its efficient application to a category-based service system. Prescriptive analytics method provides the whole process of analysis and available alternatives as well as the results of analysis. To simulate the process of optimization, large scale journal articles have been collected and categorized by classification scheme. In the process of applying the concept of prescriptive analytics to a real system, we have fused a dynamic automatic-categorization method for large scale documents and intellectual structure analysis method for scholarly subject fields. The test result shows that some optimized scenarios can be generated efficiently and utilized effectively for reorganizing the classification-based service system.
