To do this, words of language training program were extracted from the National Common Basic Curriculum of Special School and the contents design of language training program were developed based on the evaluation of significance and difficulty by special teachers, special education professors, and special education experts. To explore the possibility of applying the serious language training game, a usability evaluation was conducted with 45 special school teachers and 31 students with intellectual disabilities. The results showed that the serious language game had a high level of usability as the special school teachers received 4.25 and the students with intellectual disabilities received 4.33 out of 5. But there is no difference of usability evaluation on the level of school and the arrangement of school. As a result of this study, we can draw a conclusion that there is a high possibility of applying the serious language game to language education for students with intellectual disabilities.

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of video modeling observational learning intervention on the learning and performance of a bowling skill in adolescents with intellectual disabilities. Thirty special middle school students whose ages ranged from 14 to 16 years were recruited from Daegu, Korea. Intellectual disabilities of the participants were assessed by Korean version of the Wechsler intelligence scale for adolescent and a social maturity scale. During the experiment, participants repeatedly watched the one-minute action observation film for three minutes before beginning each frame and played 60 frames. Statistical comparisons were performed using a 2 (groups) ${\times}$ 6 (trials) ANOVA, with repeated measures on the last factor of the acquisition stage (p<0.05). Factors of the retention stage scores were analyzed by one-way ANOVA. The sources of any significant main effects were tested using a Tukey's HSD (honest significant difference) approach. SPSS 21.0 was used for statistical analyses. The performance scores of the action observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group. The findings showed that observational learning in the form video modeling has the potential to enhance acquisition and learning of a bowling sport skill in intellectual disability individuals; however, these findings are limited to adolescents with moderate intellectual disabilities.

There is season to believe that part of this difficulty is associated with students' intellectual development as deserifed by Piaget. To investigate the difficulty students face with learning science in the light of Piagetian developmental theory, the stages of the intellectual development of the secondary school student s were assessed in this study using the instrument called Group Assessment of Logical Think ing (GALT). The results of this study showed that more than 60% of 7th and 8th grade students were Classified as concrete operational level. It was also found that only 20% of the students from 9th through 11th grade were formal operational stage, while about 40% of them were still at concrete operational stage. This study showed that. there was a significant main effect on the intellectual development of the students by grade. However, it showed that at 0.5 level of significance there was no main effect by sex although mean scores of male on the assessment were higher than those of female.

  • In order to actively apply horticultural therapy to vocational education base schools, this study applied the learning theories based on behaviorism, cognitivism, and constructivism to improve the vocational skills of high school students with intellectual disabilities. The horticultural therapy program was carried out in total 12 sessions with three groups composed of 20 students each: 20 in the control group, 20 in the experimental group with a normal horticultural program, and 20 in the experimental group with a horticultural therapy program which applied the learning theories based on behaviorism, cognitivism, and constructivism. The results were analyzed with SPSS 12.0 using the Interpersonal Negotiation Strategies evaluation tool. The study found that in terms of interpersonal relationship, there was no significant difference between the pre and post tests within each group. However, in the post tests among the three groups, there was no significant difference between control group and experimental group with normal horticultural program (p=.82), but there was a significant difference between the control group and experimental group with the horticultural therapy program applying the learning theories based on behaviorism, cognitivism (p=.03). This proved that the horticultural therapy program applying the learning theories based on behaviorism, cognitivism is effective for improving interpersonal relationship. Ultimately the program is expected to be continuously, and systematically improved and applied as a learning method contributing to developing the basic vocational skills of persons with intellectual disabilities.

  • Purpose - The ability to meet the high demand for education in Nigeria is lacking, making the region remain backwards in education. Given this reason, the study investigates the role of innovation capability in the relationship between intellectual capital and competitive advantage in tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Research design, data, and methodology - The study is cross-sectional research, a total of 427 questionnaires were administered to respondents. The study distributed its questionnaire across 12 faculties at the University of Ibadan using a random sampling technique. Data were analyzed using ADANCO 2.1.1. Result - The study reveals that human capital, structural capital, relational capital, and innovation capability positively affect competitive advantage. Innovation capability mediates the relationship between human capital and relational capital. However, structural capital was not mediated by innovation capability. Conclusion - The study concludes that intellectual capitals and innovation capability are crucial to maintaining a competitive advantage over their peers. Achieving more significant success in the variables mentioned earlier will help Nigeria's tertiary institutions compete locally and internationally.

  • This study aimed to develop a music teaching-learning program for secondary students with intellectual disabilities in special education settings based on music therapy approach. Designed lesson plans included three learning domains based on the guidelines from 2008 amendments to the special education music curriculum: Perception, expression, and appreciation. Within the domains, instruction topics and its corresponding contents were re-structured as considered more appropriate and effective for implementing music classes for this population. With consideration of therapeutic goals as well as educational goals, student activities and teacher activities were designed and the activities were presented at three levels depending on students' functional levels. Integrating these instructional components into an actual plan, this study presented yearly (for 20 hours of classes) and monthly lesson plans. The developed lesson plans were reviewed and verified by related professionals including special class teachers and music therapists. As systematic and well-organized lesson plans, the results from this study would provide basic music education resources for students with intellectual disabilities in special education settings. It would also enable the discussion on the music therapy-based teaching-learning program as new methodological and strategic ideas applicable to future special education.

  • Objectives: This study aimed to measure the awareness and needs for intellectual property (IP) education among university students majoring in health-related fields to inform the development of future IP education curricula. Methods: The study was conducted through an online survey from January 5 to 26, 2024, targeting students from the health-related departments (Department of Physical Therapy, Health Administration, Clinical Laboratory Science, and Dental Hygiene) at Dankook University located in Cheonan City, Chungcheongnam-do. Results: A total of 151 students participated in the survey. Among the respondents, 84.8% were women, and the largest groups of respondents were from the Health Administration and Dental Hygiene departments, each accounting for 32.5%. Only 13.9% of the respondents had taken courses related to IP, and 22.5% had related activity experience. The overall average importance score of IP education was 3.88 (±0.80), and the overall average need score was 3.78 (±0.80). An Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) Matrix analysis revealed that 13 topics fell into the first quadrant (high importance, high need), one topic into the second quadrant (low importance, high need), 18 topics into the third quadrant (low importance, low need), and four topics into the fourth quadrant (high importance, low need). The educational topics identified as first quadrant include 'Securing patent rights', 'Requirements for patent registration', 'Effects and contents of patent rights', 'Patent infringement and remedies', and 'Effects and contents of copyrights'. Conclusions: Future IP education programs should develop innovative educational content and methods that consider both the importance and needs to increase students' interest and engagement.
