  • In instance segmentation, Mask-RCNN is mostly used as a base model. Increasing the performance of Mask-RCNN is meaningful because it affects the performance of the derived model. Mask-RCNN has a transform module for unifying size of input images. In this paper, to improve the Mask-RCNN, we apply deep-learning-based ASSR to the resizing part in the transform module and inject calculated scale information into the model using IM(Integration Module). The proposed IM improves instance segmentation performance by 2.5 AP higher than Mask-RCNN in the COCO dataset, and in the periment for optimizing the IM location, the best performance was shown when it was located in the 'Top' before FPN and backbone were combined. Therefore, the proposed method can improve the performance of models using Mask-RCNN as a base model.

  • For the effective operation of manufacturing system, FMS(Flexible Manufacturing System) and CIM(Computer Integrated Manufacturing) system are developed. In these systems, a machine tool is the target of integration in last 3 decades. In nowadays, the conventional concept of machine tools is changing to the autonomous manufacturing device based on knowledge-evolution through applying advanced information technology in which open architecture controller, high speed network and internet technology are contained. In this environment, a machine tool is not the target of integration but the subject of cooperation. In the future, a machine tool will be more improved in the form of a knowledge-evolution based device. In order to develop the knowledge-evolution based machine tools, this paper proposes the structure of knowledge evolution in M2M(Machine To Machine) and the scheme of a dialogue agent among agent-based modules such as a sensory module, a dialogue module, and an expert system. The dialogue agent has a role of interfacing with another machine for cooperation. To design the dialogue agent module in M2M environment, FIPA-OS and ping agent based on FIPA-OS are analyzed in this study. Through this, it is expected that the dialogue agent module can be more efficiently designed and the knowledge-evolution based machine tools can be hereafter more easily implemented.

  • The objective of this paper is to provide an alternative framework for the integration of process planning and scheduling in cellular manufacturing. The concept of an integrated cellular manufacturing system is defined and the system architecture is presented. In an integrated cellular manufacturing system, there are three modules : the process planning module, the manufacturing-cell design module, and the cell-scheduling module. For each module, the tasks and their activities are explained.

  • Since the problem of IP address shortage is caused by the explosive increases of demand for internet service, the IETF has defined the NAT and NAPT that users are able to designate and utilize a private IP address area for their own purposes. In this paper, we have designed and implemented a network module for integration of ADSL-IP Sharer using ATMOS, which uses a global IP address to work through ADSL and NAPT for simultaneous PC accesses to a broadband line. we have tested and analyzed the performance of the proposed network module for integration of ADSL-IP Sharer using ATMOS

  • A Project planning is one of the most important processes that determines success and failure of a project. Scope management for a project planning is also essential job in system integration project. However project planning is very difficult because lots of factors and their relationships should be considered. Therefore project planning of system integration project has been done by project manager's own knowledge and experience. It is necessary to develop an algorithm of WBS(Work Breakdown Structure) identification & document selection along to project's specificity in project management system using AI technique. This study presents a methodology to cope with the limitations of the existing studies that have uniformly been customizing the methodology by only project complexity. We propose PPSM(Project planning support module) based on determination rules regarding route maps and document levels, and CBR(Case-Based Reasoning) for WBS identification.

  • Energy harvesting technology is drawing attention as a means of collecting various eco-friendly energy and accumulating residual energy. Recently, differential power processing (DPP) is being developed as part of energy harvesting. This is being studied as a solution to the loss of power generation between power modules and the problems caused by module small losses depending on the size of power production. In this paper, we propose the necessity of the DPP by comparing and analyzing energy harvesting related module integration system and power supply efficiency of DPP. The power efficiency of the converter and the power difference between the wind power and the photovoltaic power supply have been changed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed system.

  • This paper is aimed to propose an testing and evaluation strategy and plan in Military Information Systems, especially focusing on development an“New-generation Wargame Model”. Through this research, we concluded that the effective and efficient testing/evaluation strategy/plan can aid the productivity, maintainability, availability, etc., of the Militray Information Systems. Highlights of the proposed testing and evaluation strategy and plan for Military Information Systems are as follows. First, in the unit and module integration testing phase, hybrid of black-box and white-box testing techniques are available for Military Information Systems and progressive approach for module integration phase should be considered because of the complexity. Second, in the system testing phase, integrated module should be tested with respect to the function and performance that should be satisfied with the user requirements, specifications, risk analysis, etc., Third, in the acceptance testing phase, reliability, interoperability, maintainability, availability, integrity, etc., must be considered in the actual or mini-operational environments for testing efficiently and effectively.
