In this paper, an intelligent system to determine welding parameters for each pass and welding position in pipeline welding based on one database and FEM model, two BP neural network models and a C-NN model was developed and validated. The preliminary test of the system has indicated that the developed system could determine welding parameters fur pipeline welding quickly, from which good weldments can be produced without experienced welding personnel. Experiments using the predicted welding parameters from the developed system proved the feasibility of interface standards and intelligent control technology to increase productivity, improve quality, and reduce the cost of system integration.

지금까지 선체구조 설계 관련 정보는 주로 도면을 통해서 전해져 왔으나 최신의 컴퓨터 관련 기술인 CAD 시스템이나 DBMS등을 이용하면 설계과정에서의 중복작업을 없앰으로서 설계생산성을 크게 높일 수 있다. 본연구에서는 선체구조 설계 관련 정보를 데이터 베이스관리시스템을 통하여 일관화하기 위해서 선체 중앙부 구조부재들의 배치형상과 속성정보들에 대한 데이터 모델링을 시도하였으며, 그 적용예로서 산적화물선의 중앙부 구조형상을 컴퓨터 그래픽을 이용하여 가시화 하였다. 데이터모델의 구조는 관계형으로 하였으며 선체구조의 접속관계정보를 이용하여 구조부재의 배치형상처리를 용이하게 하였다. 결과로서 나온 데이타 관계형 데이터베이스 관리시스템 'ORACLE'을 통해 저장되고 질의어를 통해 다른 시스템에서 직접 사용될 수 있음을 보였다.

본 논문에서는 다양한 운영체제와 데이타베이스 여러 소프트웨어를 포함하는 이질적인 컴퓨팅 환경에서 뷰관리 기능을 제공하는 미디에이터 시스템을 설계한다. 또한 기존의 미디에이터 시스템들이 수 정(modification)방법으로만 뷰를 관리했던 것에 비해 구체화(materialization)방법을 병행하는 관리방법을 설계하고, 구체화시키기 위해 필요한 접근방법과 최적화 방법을 제안한다. 이를 위해서 유에 대한 접근내 역에 감쇄율을 적용함으로써 최근의 접근내역의 변화가 뷰관리에 적절히 반영되도록 설계하였다. 또한 이 질적인 환경의 데이타베이스와 운영체제를 극복하기 위해 코바(CORBA)를 웹과 연동하여 사용자가 일반 적으로 사용하는 웹 브라우저를 통해 뷰를 관리하는 시스템을 구현한다.

This paper is to analyze business activities of approval/permission (A/P) and to describe its problems. To conduct the A/P business activities currently, there are many problems such as complex business process and different business policies among the each organization. In order to solve the problems, this paper suggests the A/P system of highway construction CALS (Commerce at Light Speed). CALS, a top down vision of complete computing integration, promises to support electronic data exchange. The A/P system is designed to classified documents based on CALS standard and store them to database. The data register to the A/P system by the Internet, and each construction company can use the A/P system by Internet also. Benefits of the A/P system is reduction in junk documents for approval/permission actives, improvement in conduct and services life cycle support.

현재까지의 EDB 시스템이 Data를 중심으로 한 관리나 프로세스 관리 같은 것들을 프로그램으로는 Hard Coding되어 있었던 관계로 인하여 단위업무의 성력화 또는 순수 데이터 관리 측면에서는 효율성을 가졌으나, 기업의 무한경쟁시대에 생존 수간으로서 행해지고 있는 BPR(Business Process Restructure) 또는 CE(Concurrent Engineering)에 대응 할 수 있는 유연성이 결여되어 있었다. 따라서 프로세스나 데이터에 관련된 규칙 또는 데이터가 있는 위치등과 같은 프로세스 및 데이터의 속성에 대한 정보를 Meta Database에 저장하여 보다 유연성이 있고 일관성 있게 데이터를 취급해 줄 필요성이 대두 되었다. 이러한 Meta Database를 사용자 시각에서 바라보면 프로세스가 변화 된다하더라도 일관된 실제 작업을 할 수 있을 것이다. 즉, 사용자는 자신이 사용하는 EDB의 단위 Application을 사용하면 새로 정의된 프로세스에 따라 자신의 데이터를 Release하고 시방변경, 삭제, 의뢰 등을 처리 할 수 있을 것이다. 따라서 현재의 EDB 시스템들의 개발이 전체의 개발 프로세스 중에서 일부만을 부분부문으로 개발하고 통합 할 뿐 실제 일관된 데이터의 유지나 공유가 매우 힘들었던 것을 부분적인 형태로 시스템이 구축된다하더라도 Meta Database를 통하여 개발 프로세스 전반에 걸친 다양한 PART 시스템간의 데이터 공유를 가능하게 할 수 있는 EDB 시스템구조에 대해 설명하고자 한다.

정보서비스 관점에서 대규모 정보 서비스 시스템을 개발하기 가장 좋은 방법중의 하나가 웹의 서비스 능력과 데이터베이스 관리시스템의 유용한 기능을 상호 보완적 측면에서 통합하는 것이다. 웹과 데이터베이스 관리시스템 통합의 핵심 요소가 웹-DBMS 통로이다. 웹-DBMS 통로는 데이터베이스 관리시스템에 대한 요청을 웹의 기술을 이용하여 데이터베이스 관리시스템에 접근하고, 데이터베이스 관리시스템의 처리 결과를 웹서버에게 전한다. 바다/웹은 웹의 서비스 능력과 객체지향 데이터베이스 관리시스템인 바다-III를 서로 보완적 측면에서 통합한 웹-DBMS 통로이다. 이 논문에서는 웹과 바다-III를 통합하기 위한 설계와 구현상의 경험을 설명하고, 데이터베이스에 대한 질의들을 통해 바다/웹의 효과를 분석했다.

GIS is linked with Numerical Model(PM5) for the effective conservation and management of groundwater resources. All the relevant system was systematically constructed to analyze the field status by means of precise understanding of the surface and subsurface environment and by accumulating large amounts data and attribute data into developed system. The necessity of integrated management of the groundwater information was demonstrated and the general direction of the construction of groundwater management system was suggested. The proposed system will guide a method for the rational decisions of groundwater development via the establishment of the appropriate database management and accurate prediction of future change.

In order to make the effect of the navigation system more direct, the paper proposes a thought of vehicle navigation system based on Video-GIS. A semantic framework has been defined whose core is focused on the integration and interaction of video and spatial information, which supports full content retrieval based on multimodal metadata extraction and fusion, and supports kinds of wireless access mode. Furthermore, requirements of prototype system are discussed. Then the design and implementation of framework are discussed. Next, describe the key ideas and technologies involved. Finally, we point out its future research trend.

Currently for the development of internet and network technology, since request of service for the large volume multimedia data has been more increased, multimedia users want the convenience and accuracy of multimedia service system about storing and retrieving of the multimedia contents. To satisfy the request of users, metadata management for the diverse information of multimedia contents is very important. However, the metadata management for the multimedia contents is difficult because the metadata standards are different each other for the type of multimedia data and service. In this paper, we propose the integration metadata management system structure which extends previous metadata management system based on text for the multimedia contents metadata which are expressed differently each other according to the multimedia data or service type.

데이터 베이스 스키마 통합은 정보 시스템에서 매우 중요한 이슈이다. 스키마 통합은 시간과 노력이 상당히 많이 필요하기 때문에 그동안 많은 연구들은 자동화된 스키마 통합 시스템을 구축하기 위해 노력했다. 하지만 지금까지의 연구에서는 XML을 소스 스키마로 사용하고 여전히 많은 부분을 데이터 베이스 관리자의 개입이 필요하도록 남겨두었다. 예를 들면, 스키마 통합 시 발생하는 관계명 명칭 충돌과 같은 문제는 데이터 베이스 관리자가 직접 개입하여야 해결할 수 있었다. 이 논문에서는 스키마 통합 시 발생하는 관계명 명칭 충돌을 해결하기 위해 관계명을 자동으로 생성해주는 알고리즘을 소개한다. 이 알고리즘은 인터넷 연어(Collocation) 사전과 영어 예문을 기반으로 한다. 사전 데이터를 기반으로 하여 추출한 예문들을 자연어처리 과정을 통해 분석한 후 두 엔티티 사이의 관계명을 생성한다. 반자동화된 스키마 통합 시스템을 구축하여 이 알고리즘을 테스트해보았으며 그 결과 약 90%의 정확도를 나타냈다. 이 알고리즘을 적용하면 스키마 통합 시에 데이터 베이스 관리자의 개입을 최소화할 수 있으며 이는 자동화된 스키마 통합 시스템을 구축하는 데에 큰 도움이 될 것이다.
