This paper presents design and performance evaluation of magnetorheological(MR) damper for integrated isolation mount. The MR damper needs two functions for the integrated isolation mount. The one is vibration absorption and the other is isolation of vibration transmission. For vibration absorption, the MR damper requires wide damping force range. And for isolation of vibration transmission, the friction of MR damper needs to be eliminated. In order to achieve this goal, a novel type of MR damper is originally designed in this work. Subsequently, the MR damper is mathematically modeled and its damping force characteristics are evaluated. In addition, the vibration control performance of the MR damper associated with the stage mass is evaluated. From the result, this paper evaluates the performance of MR damper for integrated isolation mount.

U-City related researches and development have been actively conducted in Korea since 2002. According to the Act on Ubiquitous City Construction, "U-City" is defined as "the city to provide ubiquitous service anytime anywhere through the existing ubiquitous backbone systems and ubiquitous technologies, ultimately for the purpose of improving urban competitiveness and quality of life. This research explains the plan to develop collective management technology for integrated operation of U-Space which makes up U-City. Specifically, this report is intended to suggest basic approach of identifying collective management elements of each U-Space type, developing integrated management system and creating interface module to link the system with urban integrated operation center.

Deactivation of aminoglycosides by their modifying enzymes, including a number of aminoglycoside O-phosphotransferases, is the most ubiquitous resistance mechanism in aminoglycoside-resistant pathogens. Nonetheless, in a couple of biosynthetic pathways for gentamicins, fortimicins, and istamycins, phosphorylation of aminoglycosides seems to be a unique and initial step for the creation of a natural defensive structural feature such as a 3',4'-dideoxy scaffold. Our aim was to elucidate the biochemical details on the beginning of these C3',4'-dideoxygenation biosynthetic steps for aminoglycosides. The biosynthesis of istamycins must surely involve these 3',4'-didehydroxylation steps, but much less has been reported in terms of characterization of istamycin biosynthetic genes, especially about the phosphotransferase-encoding gene. In the disruption and complementation experiments pointing to a putative gene, istP, in the genome of wild-type Streptomyces tenjimariensis, the function of the istP gene was proved here to be a phosphotransferase. Next, an in-frame deletion of a known phosphotransferase-encoding gene forP from the genome of wild-type Micromonospora olivasterospora resulted in the appearance of a hitherto unidentified fortimicin shunt product, namely 3-O-methyl-FOR-KK1, whereas complementation of forP restored the natural fortimicin metabolite profiles. The bilateral complementation of an istP gene (or forP) in the ${\Delta}forP$ mutant (or ${\Delta}istP$ mutant strain) successfully restored the biosynthesis of 3',4'-dideoxy fortimicins and istamycins, thus clearly indicating that they are interchangeable launchers of the biosynthesis of 3',4'-dideoxy types of 1,4-diaminocyclitol antibiotics.

Human error is one of the major contributors to the railway accidents or incidents. In order to develop an effective countermeasure to remove or reduce human errors, a systematic analysis should be preferentially performed to identify their causes, characteristics, and types of human error induced in accidents or incidents. This paper introduces a case study for human error analysis of the railway accidents and incidents. For the case study, more than 1,000 domestic railway accidents or incidents that happened during the year of 2004 have been investigated and a detailed error analysis was performed on the selected 90 cases, which were obviously caused by human error. This paper presents a classification structure for human error analysis, and summarizes the analysis results such as causes of the events, error modes and types, related worker, and task type.

The millirneterwave high-T$_{c}$ superconducting(HTS) down-converter sub-system with the HTS/III-V integrated mixer as the central device is demonstrated first. The constituent components of HTS down-converter sub-system such as a single balanced type integrated mixer with rat-race coupler, a cavity type bandpass filter (26 GHz), and a HTS planar lowpass filter(1 GHz), semiconductor LNA and IF-power amplifier, a driving electronic module for A/D converter, and a Stirling type mini-cooler module were combined into an International stand- and rack of 19-inch. From the RF(-61 dBm, 26.5GHz)and LO signal(-1 dBm, 25.6 GHz), IF signal(0dBm, 0.9 GHz) agreed with simulated results is obtained.d.

In this paper, solenoid-type 3-D passives (inductors and transformers) have been designed, fabricated, and characterized by using electroplating techniques, wire bonding techniques, multi-layer thick photoresist, and low temperature processes which are compatible with semiconductor circuitry fabrication. Two different fabrication approaches are performed to develop the solenoid-type 3-D passives and relationship of performance characteristics and geometry is also deeply investigated such as windings, cross-sectional area of core, spacing between windings, and turn ratio. Fully integrated inductor has a quality factor of 31 at 6 GHz, an inductance of 2.7 nH, and a self resonant frequency of 15.8 GHz. Bonded wire inductor has a quality factor of 120, an inductance of 20 nH, and a self resonant frequency of 8 GHz. Integrated transformers with turn ratios of 1:1 and n:l have the minimum insertion loss of about 0.6 dB and the wide bandwidth of a few GHz.

Disaster management system should be built for minimizing damage factor that affects to construction facility from natural disaster. It could be classified by three categories such as disaster prevention, damage survey and recovery phases. For an integrated disaster management system, a disaster information classification system(DICS) is necessary for the reasonable disaster information management. This study suggests an integrated DICS that includes disaster type classification, facility type classification and information type classification for disaster management service. The applicability of suggested DICS is verified by railway facility and the research result could be used as a basic information system for national disaster management system.

In this paper, the Single-stage Transmission type Injectiong-Locked Oscillator(STILO) was designed and fabicated for the Active Integrated Phased Array Antenna(AIPAA) system. The STILO, which was designed and fabricated by injection-locked technique and hair-pin resonator, has the same 210MHz frequency tuning range of the Voltage Controlled Oscillator(VCO) used by varactor. The locking bandwidth of STILO with 11.5MHz bandwidth, is much better than that of the Injection-Locked Dielectric Resonator Oscillator(ILDRO), And the STILO has the improved noise characteristics in AM, FM, and PM. This STILO is useful for the AIPAA, the coupled VCO array, an the MMIC structure.

본 논문에서는 링형 WDM PON 광전송 기술을 기반으로 도로변의 CCTV로부터 촬영되는 실시간 영상을 원격지로 압축없이 전송하고, CCTV 카메라의 원격 제어 및 TCP/IP 기반의 데이터 전송이 하나의 광파이버만으로 전송이 가능한 광송수신기를 개발한다. 개발한 광송수신기는 비압축 대용량 전송기술을 사용함으로 실시간 도로교통 상황을 원격지에서 고화질 모니터링 서비스를 제공할 수 있다.

This paper describes on the fabrication and characteristics of hot-film type micro-flowsensors integrated with Pt-RTD(resistance thermometer device) and micro-heater on the Si membrane in which MgO thin-film was used as medium layer in order to improve adhesion of Pt thin-film to SiO$_2$layer. The MgO layer improved adhesion of Pt thin-film to SiO$_2$layer without any chemical reactions to Pt thin-film under high annealing temperatures. Output voltages increased due to increase of heat-loss from sensor to external. The output voltage was 82 mV at $N_2$flow rate of 2000 sccm/min heating power of 1.2 W. The response time($\tau$:63%) was about 50 msec when input flow was stepinput
