통합형 오일 정제 시스템의 개발 (Development of an Integrated Oil Purification System)

  • This study presents the development of an integrated oil purification system consisting of moisture removal, oil flushing, and oil filtering devices. In this system, the oil flushing device is combined with a micro-bubble generator. Oil purification is necessary for ensuring the high performance of the lubricant through the efficient removal of contaminants and thus enables good maintenance of mechanical systems. The developed purification system removes moisture, varnish, and solid particles. Moreover, during oil purification, the oil flushing device separates foreign materials and contaminants remaining in the lubricating oil piping or mechanical systems. The microbubble generator, which is combined with the oil flushing device, can separate harmful contaminants, such as sludge, wear particles, and rust, from piping or lubrication systems through the cavitation effect. Moisture is removed using a double high-vacuum chamber, while sludge and varnish are removed via electro-absorption using a high-voltage generator. Additionally, the total maintenance cost of the system is reduced through the use of domestically fabricated cartridge filters composed of glass fiber and cellulose. The heater, which maintains the temperature of the lubricant at 60℃, can process 41,000 L of lubricant simultaneously. Multiple tests confirmed that the proposed integrated purification system exhibits good performance in oil flushing and removal of water and varnish.

Statistical Modeling of 3-D Parallel-Plate Embedded Capacitors Using Monte Carlo Simulation

  • Examination of the statistical variation of integrated passive components is crucial for designing and characterizing the performance of multichip module (MCM) substrates. In this paper, the statistical analysis of parallel plate capacitors with gridded plates manufactured in a multilayer low temperature cofired ceramic (LTCC) process is presented. A set of integrated capacitor structures is fabricated, and their scattering parameters are measured for a range of frequencies from 50 MHz to 5 GHz. Using optimized equivalent circuits obtained from HSPICE, mean and absolute deviation is calculated for each component of each device model. Monte Carlo Analysis for the capacitor structures is then performed using HSPICE. Using a comparison of the Monte Carlo results and measured data, it is determined that even a small number of sample structures, the statistical variation of the component values provides an accurate representation of the overall capacitor performance.

  • Continuing improvements in integrated circuit chip density and functionality have mostly contributed toward a very large-scale integrated circuit(VLSI) and display device. In order to test (pass or fail) all of the high integrated semiconductor chip and display device, fine pitch probes are used. Fine pitch probes are manufactured by electroforming process of a Ni alloy in an electrolytic bath. In this paper, we expect that the electric field in bath with the Finite Element Method and applying the FEM result. So, we can obtained the probes that have high aspect ratio of 10 : 1

  • Printed electronics are emerging technology to realize various microelectronic devices via a cost-effective method. Here we introduce high performance inkjet printed polymer field-effect transistors and application to complementary integrated circuits with p-type and n-type conjugated polymers. The performance of devices highly depends on the selection of dielectrics, printing condition and device architecture. The device optimization and performances of various integrated circuits, e.g., complementary inverters and ring oscillators will be mainly discussed in this talk.

Physical Web과 Eddystone 기반 BLE 디바이스 컨트롤 서버를 위한 안전한 BLE 통합 인증 시스템 (A Secure BLE Integration Authentication System for a BLE Device Control Server based on Physical Web and Eddystone)

  • Physical Web과 Eddystone은 하나의 통합된 어플리케이션에서 URL을 통해 각각의 서버에서 서비스를 구현하는 방식으로 단 하나의 어플리케이션으로 작동할 수 있다. 하지만, 각 BLE 디바이스의 역할을 위해서는 BLE 디바이스에 맞는 어플리케이션이 따로 존재해야만 한다. 이를 극복하기 위해 BLE 디바이스 컨트롤 서버를 통해 각 제조사와 Beacon을 연동하고 통합된 어플리케이션을 지원하기 위한 새로운 플랫폼이 필요하다. 이는 Beacon의 서비스를 위한 Push(Broadcasting)와 관리를 위한 Pull(Connection)을 모두 담당하게 해야 되며, 특히 Pull과 같은 경우에는 권한을 통해서 관리가 가능해야 한다. 이를 위해 BLE 통신에서 새롭고 안전한 통신 프로토콜이 필요하다. 이에 본 논문은 Physical Web 및 Eddystone 기반의 BLE 디바이스 컨트롤 서버에서 보안이 적용된 기기 제어를 위한 BLE 통합 인증 시스템을 제안한다.

Optimization of Tilted Bragg Grating Tunable Filters Based on Polymeric Optical Waveguides

  • A wavelength filter based on a polymer Bragg reflector has received much attention due to its simple structure and wide tuning range. Tilted Bragg gratings and asymmetric Y-branches are integrated to extract the reflected optical signals in different directions. To optimize device performance, design procedures are thoroughly considered and various design parameters are applied to fabricated devices. An asymmetric Y-branch with an angle of $0.3^{\circ}$ produced crosstalk less than -25 dB, and the even-odd mode coupling was optimized for a grating tilt angle of $2.5^{\circ}$, which closely followed the design results. Through this experiment, it was confirmed that this device has a large manufacturing tolerance, which is important for mass production of this optical device.

  • Recently, the demands of the high quality LCD display device have increased. We have developed the smart LCD that photo sensor is integrated in. Amorphous silicon TFTs have photo leakage current characteristics when the channel of TFTs are lighted on. This characteristic has applied in our device. We expect that photo sensor integrated LCDs have lots of merits in mobile display device, note PC panel and LCD TV.

  • We developed a device that integrates digital otoscope and stethoscope for telemedicine. The integrated device was utilized for the collection of tympanic membrane images and cardiac auscultation data. Data accumulated on the platform server can support real-time diagnosis of heart and eardrum diseases using artificial intelligence. Public data from Kaggle were used for deep learning. After comparing with various deep learning models, the MobileNetV2 model showed superior performance in analyzing tympanic membrane data, and the VGG16 model excelled in analyzing cardiac data. The classification algorithm achieved an accuracy of 89.9% for eardrums data and 100% for heart sound data. These results demonstrate the possibility of diagnosing diseases without the limitations of time and space by using this platform.
