계층적 부호화 방식은 멀티미디어 방송 및 멀티캐스팅 서비스(multimedia broadcasting and multicasting services; MBMS)등과 같이 단방향의 서비스에서 신호 품질에 대한 피드백 정보의 활용이 어려울 경우 사용할 수 있는 적응형 수신 기법 중의 하나이다. 이 기술은 계층적 변조 방식과 결합하여 사용함으로써, 부호화율과 변조 방식을 적절하게 결합하여 사용할 수 있는 방식이다. 또한, 터보부호와 결합된 시공간부호를 이용하여 멀티미디어 방송 서비스 제공에 있어서 위성-지상 통합망에서 효과적으로 다이버시티 이득을 얻을 수 있음이 보여왔다. 본 논문에서는 계층적 터보 부호와 결합된 시공간 부호화 방식을 위성-지상 통합 망에 적용하는 방안을 제시한다. 먼저, 시스템 구조 및 동작 원리를 설명하고, 실제 적용 예제들을 제시한다.

국제민간항공기구(ICAO)는 ASBU(Aviation System Block Upgrade)를 통해서 2013년부터 20년간 항공관련 데이터 시스템의 성능을 향상시키는 프로그램을 채택하였다. 프로그램의 일부분으로써 SWIM(System Wide Information Management) 기술 개발을 통한 항공통신 데이터를 종합 관리하는 망에 대한 연구개발은 미국, 유럽 선진국들을 중심으로 진행 중이다. 이에 따라, 본 논문에서는 선진국들의 개발 동향과 대등한 기술개발을 위해 SOA(Service Oriented Architecture) 개념을 적용한 항공 데이터 서비스 아키텍처 기술개발, 항공 데이터의 종합적 관리를 위한 미래형 데이터 관리 모델 개발, 기존의 항공 데이터 시스템과 연동을 위한 어댑터 기술 개발을 통하여 사용자 중심의 항공데이터 종합 관리망 기술을 개발하는 방법에 기반한 테스트베드 구축 방안을 제안한다.

The purpose of this study is to suggest planning directions of architectural integrates model by analysing the foreign case of integrated services for the aged and the disabled. For this study, we have researched on three different aspects. Three aspects are the element of barrier-free, architectural planning, information technology and operation. Based on the analysis of overseas examples, the good circumstance for both the disabled and the elder as one of member in the local societies could be defined like the following conditions: that is, (1) IT technology facilitates both barrier-free architecture and life to be easier and safer, and (2) both the disabled and the elder in local societies live together with the non-disabled in the same community. To realize this purpose, for a short-term plan, the system of feedback, examining the results of the research through the examples of housing plan, should be improved. In addition to, the system of public service, such as introducing the institutes for social educations, should be developed to result in the change of social insight. For a long-term plan, the whole society should have the research and plan of the unified model in a dimension of cities, where the network of public welfare is deeply associated with the system of the architecture, traffic, streets, and living-supporting information.

유비쿼터스 기술이 도시 인프라와 접목되면서 유비쿼터스 도시라는 시민의 생활 편의와 질적 향상을 추구하는 새로운 도시 패러다임이 제시되고 있다. 도시통합운영센터는 유비쿼터스 도시의 필수 요소로써 시민을 위한 다양한 서비스를 위해 정보를 수집, 가공 및 제공하는 역할을 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 도시가 제공하는 서비스의 효율적 제공 및 관리를 위한 도시통합운영센터의 프레임워크를 제안하고자 한다. 본 연구에서 제시하는 도시통합운영센터는 유비쿼터스 도시가 제공하는 서비스의 효율적인 개발 환경과 운영 환경을 제공하는 것을 그 목적으로 한다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 시맨틱 웹 서비스 기술을 도시통합운영센터에 적용하며, OWL-S를 이용하여 서비스에 대한 의미정보를 기술함으로써 자동화된 서비스의 선택 및 발견, 그리고 조합을 지원하는 지능화된 서비스를 제공하는 것이 가능하다. 또한 도시통합운영센터의 서비스 간 재사용성과 상호운영성, 그리고 가용성을 보장하기위해 본 논문에서는 서비스 기능 단위의 단위 서비스 모델링 방법론을 제안하고자 한다. 이를 통해 도시통합운영센터에 필요한 공통의 서비스를 도출하고 이들을 의미적 정보로 연결함으로써 보다 발전된 형태의 도시통합운영센터의 서비스 프레임워크를 개발하였다.

ATM is the transport method for the broadband integrated services digital networks(B-ISDN). It may replace existing LAN, MAN and WAN technologies such as CSMA/CD, FDDI, Frame relay, X.25, etc. But it is more complicate than existing network technologies. One of the main difficulties in ATM network is performance management. Specifically, the problems are evaluating the performance and tuning the values of the performance parameters, The goal of this paper is to introduce a system architecture designed for ATM network performance management, The major ingredients of the system are generic performance parameters In be measured from ATM network, performance evaluation models and decision criteria concerning the network performance. In this paper, general requirements for performance management application in ATM network are discussed.

Several ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) protocols have implemented at ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) in an experimental network so that functional characteristics of the protocols under test could be certified against their protocol specifications with the help of the ETRI protocol test facilities. This paper describes ETRI protocol test architecture and its application to testing the NSP (Network Service Part) protocols : MTP (Message Transfer Part) level 3 and SCCP (Signalling Connection Control Part) of the CCITT CCS (Common Channel Signalling ) system No. 7 The test architecture presented here allows tests for two different protocol classes : peer-to-peer and multipeer protocolos. Some extensions are made to the conventional test architectures, namely the test coordination, test result transfer and network state observation method.

In electronic commerce, a registry is an integrated software system that supports access to registry metadata in order to locate and retrieve registered objects it can be discovered and used by a client or customer. In general, a registry consists of information model and its service. A registry implementation supports a registry services interface that can be used by abstract agents to assist a human or some other software process to register new objects, provide appropriate metadata for those objects, browse or query registry content, filter out irrelevant references, and retrieve the content of selected items. We show a layered registry architecture that is flexible enough to support the required specialization of many different kinds of registry specification of other sponsoring groups. This architecture could easily adopt different registry specification. This paper suggests a prototype implementation model which supports ebXML Registry standard based on this layered architecture.

In order to improve their hospital services in unlimited competitive situations, the general hospitals, particularly, have since the 1990s been concentrating more on hospital information processing systems and the automation of the patients' convenience. They also give priority to the advance of integrated hospital information systems centred around the patients. Introducing more progressive information technology to already established hospitals, the OPD has been most affected by HIS because there are a lot of patients and doctors. On this background, this study analyse the change of OPD and some related departments around the 1990s with the general hospitals as it's object. It investigates the way of building hospitals and presents some information about the planning of building hospitals.

Open networking architecture is required to support new multimedia services as integrated functions of network management and service architecture. In this paper, we propose the methodology of building block modeling using object grouping concepts and the sharing scheme of different distributed processing environments based on open networking architecture. The building block has the functions of object management, security object instance registry and object mapping in object group. It is necessary for the connection management information to be shared on the interworking between two domains. We implemented and validated connection management functions using computational object modeling and building block modeling in different distributed processing environments.

최근 무선 통신 기술의 급격한 발달로 언제, 어디서나, 지속적인 서비스를 이용하고j라 사용자들의 요구가 급증하고 있다. 이를 위해서 서로 다른 무선 접속망을 동일 시스템처럼 통합하는 기술과 하나의 단말이 다양한 무선 접속망을 이용할 수 있는 다중 인터페이스 단말 기술, 통신 가입자의 서로 이종 무선 접속망간 이동에도 지속적인 서비스를 제공하기 위한 수직적 핸드오버 기술이 필요하다. 현재 차세대 네트워크를 위한 이종 접속망 연동연구는 서로 다른 접속망이 인터넷으로 연동되는 loosely 연동 구조와 하나의 접속망 내에 다른 접속망이 연동되는 tightly 연동 구조를 바탕으로 진행되고 있으며, 이종 접속망간 이동성 지원 기술은 주로 loosely 연동 구조에서 Mobile IP를 확장하는 방향으로 연구되고 있다. Tightly 연동 구조는 서로 다른 무선 접속망이 밀접하게 연동되어 좀 더 신속한 핸드오버를 제공할 수 있지만 연동이 복잡하기 때문에 아직까지 구체적인 이동성 관리 방안없이 개념적인 방향만 제시하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 UMTS와 WLAN 연동 구조를 정의하고, 다중 인터페이스 단말을 이용한 소프트 수직적 핸드오버 시그널링 절차를 제안한다. 또한 OPNET 시뮬레이터를 통해 제안된 수직적 핸드오버 방안이 끊김없는 서비스를 제공할 수 있음을 확인하였다.
