Integrated Engine-CVT Control Considering Powertrain Response Lag in Acceleration

  • In this paper, an engine-CVT integrated control algorithm is suggested by considering the inertia torque and the CVT ratio change response lag in acceleration. In order to compensate for drive torque time delay due to CVT response lag, two algorithms are presented: (1) an optimal engine torque compensation algorithm, and (2) an optimal engine speed compensation algorithm. Simulation results show that the optimal engine speed compensation algorithm gives better engine operation around the optimal operation point compared to the optimal torque compensation while showing nearly the same acceleration response. The performance of the proposed engine-CVT integrated control algorithms are compared with those of conventional CVT control, and It is found that optimal engine operation can be achieved by using integrated control during acceleration, and improved fuel economy can be expected while also satisfying the driver's demands.

  • 현재, 웹 기반 기술 및 네트워크 기술의 발달로 인해 실질적이고 다양한 서비스를 원하는 이용자들이 늘어나고 있다. 그중에서 게임을 포함하는 웹 및 모바일 컨텐츠 분야에 대한 관심은 급격히 증가하고 있다. 대부분의 컨텐츠들은 컨텐츠의 이용에 대한 결과로 포인트나 E-Money로 제공하고 있다. 하지만, 포인트 시스템은 포인트를 활용할 수 있는 컨텐츠나 관련 서비스가 부족한 실정이어서 유명무실하게 되었다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여, 본 논문에서 여러 컨텐츠에서 제공하고 있는 포인트 시스템을 통합하고 이러한 포인트를 이용하여 게임에 접목할 수 있는 시스템을 설계하였다. 설계한 시스템을 시뮬레이션하기 위하여 웹상에서 간단한 게임 및 기타 부가적인 컨텐츠 시스템을 제작하였다. 또한, 모바일 기기로 웹상에서 발생하는 결과를 전송받는 시스템도 구현하였다.

엔진 오일으 감지를 우한 드레인 밸브 일체형 센서 (A Study on the Sensor Integrated of Drain Valve for Degradation Detecting of Engine Oil)

  • In this study, the oil degradation measuring for integrated sensor of drain valve was fabricated. A sensor used in the experiments was integrated with drain valves and installed in oil pan without requiring additional space. As a result of the experiments, the capacitances changed with two inflection points in accordance with an after in mileage. The first inflection point indicated the exhaustion of oil additives, and after the second inflection point, the oil degradation was completed, which increased the viscosity and disabled the functions of oil. Thus, this section was determined as the time of oil exchange.

게임 엔진의 기술 체제에 따른 게임 개발 성과 차이에 관한 연구 (A Impact of Technological Regime of Game Engine upon Game Development Performance)

  • 본 연구는 게임 엔진의 기술 체제의 차이가 기술거래 성과에 어떻게 영향 미치는가를 실증적으로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 게임 엔진의 기술적 특성의 차이에 따라 게임 엔진을 활용한 게임의 장르 분포(genre distribution)에 있어 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 게임 엔진 체제의 이용자 편이성이 높은 모듈형, 범용형, 통합형 API 엔진이 높은 장르다양성(genre diversity)과 낮은 장르집중도(genre concentration ratio)를 보여주었다. 셋째, 게임 엔진체제의 이용자 편이성이 높은 모듈형, 범용형, 통합형 API 엔진이 시간이 경과함에 따라 더 높은 활용도를 보였다. 넷째, 게임 엔진의 혁신 유형과 가격 유형은 기술거래 성과에 아무런 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 분석 결과는 게임 엔진의 기술 체제가 게임 개발 과정상에서 상용 엔진의 장르분포, 다양성, 활용도에 있어 직접적으로 영향을 미치며, 이용자 편의성과 모듈성, 범용성이 높은 게임 엔진으로 표준화 되어가고 있음을 제시한다.

연비향상을 위한 하이브리드 엔진 시스템 모델 개발과 최적화에 관한 연구 (Development and Optimization of the Hybrid Engine System Model to Improve the Fuel Economy)

  • The purpose of this study is development of universal engine model for integrated Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) simulator and a optimization of engine model. The engine model of this study is based on the MATLAB Simulink for universal and include engine fuel economy technologies for HEV. Various engine fuel economy technologies for HEV is estimated by commercial engine 1-D simulation program - WAVE. And, the 1-D simulation model of base version is compared with engine experiment result. The analyzed engine technologies with 1-D simulation are Dual-CVVT, Atkinson-Cycle and Cylinder-Deactivation System. There are improvement of fuel economy and power performance with Dual-CVVT model at part load and full load, pumping loss reduction with Cylinder-Deactivation System at idle and regeneration. Each estimated technologies are analyzed by 1-D simulation on all operation region for base data to converse simulink. The simulink based engine model maintains a signal with ECU for determination of engine operation point.

  • GENIE is a learning-based engine for building intelligent systems. Learning in GENIE proceeds by incrementally modeling its human or technical environment using a neural network and a genetic algorithm. The neural network is used to represent the knowledge for solving a given task and has the ability to grow its structure. The genetic algorithm provides the neural network with training examples by actively exploring the example space of the problem. Integrated into the training examples by actively exploring the example space of the problem. Integrated into the GENIE system architecture, the genetic algorithm and the neural network build a virtually self-teaching autonomous learning system. This paper describes the structure of GENIE and its learning components. The performance is demonstrated on a robot learning problem. We also discuss the lessons learned from experiments with GENIE and point out further possibilities of effectively hybridizing genetic algorithms with neural networks and other softcomputing techniques.

An Efficient Comparing and Updating Method of Rights Management Information for Integrated Public Domain Image Search Engine

  • In this paper, we propose a Rights Management Information(RMI) expression systems for individual sites are integrated and the performance evaluation is performed to find out an efficient comparing and updating method of RMI through various image feature point search techniques. In addition, we proposed a weighted scoring model for both public domain sites and posts in order to use the most latest RMI based on reliable data. To solve problem that most public domain sites are exposed to copyright infringement by providing inconsistent RMI(Rights Management Information) expression system and non-up-to-date RMI information. The weighted scoring model proposed in this paper makes it possible to use the latest RMI for duplicated images that have been verified through the performance evaluation experiments of SIFT and CNN techniques and to improve the accuracy when applied to search engines. In addition, there is an advantage in providing users with accurate original public domain images and their RMI from the search engine even when some modified public domain images are searched by users.

울트라 캐패시터 에너지 저장장치를 적용한 함정 전기추진 시스템의 효용성 증대 연구 (A Study on the Improving Effectiveness of Shipboard Electric Propulsion System with Ultra-capacitor Energy Storage Devices)

  • Recently, integrated electric propulsion system has been vigorously adopted into naval vessels. To enhance effectiveness and efficiency of power management in these propulsion systems, this paper investigates necessity of energy storage devices and their operation strategies. By introducing the energy storage devices, engine can operate at higher efficiency point and accordingly costs for fuel and maintenance are significantly reduced. In addition, transient performance can also be improved with support of the devices and it leads to stable operation of shipboard power bus. To validate the proposal of this paper, computer simulation has been conducted with real load data of existing electric propulsion system.

스크린 필터 구조 Partial Metal DPF의 PM 저감 특성 (PM Reduction Characteristics of Partial Metal DPF with Screen Mesh Filter Structure)

  • In this work, the 1L grade integrated metal DOC/DPF filter that can install in engine manifold position was developed to investigate the effect of platinum-coating amount of filter on the improvement of filter activation temperature and reduction of particulate matter (PM). This filter was installed in 2.9L CI engine which meets the EURO-4 emission regulation. Tests for PM reduction efficiency of filter were conducted under ND-13 mode with full-load test condition. It was revealed that the time to reach the activation temperature of metal filter ($280^{\circ}C$) was shorter as the amount of platinum-coating increased. This short activation time can be helpful for the reduction of CO and HC emissions during cold start condition. At the same time, PM reduced as the coating amount increased. The reduction percentage of $DOC_{40}$, $DOC_{20}$, and $DOC_0$ were 96.7% (2.34 mg/kW'h), 95.1% (3.47 mg/kW'h), and 94.5% (3.69 mg/kW'h) compared to previous result (71.4 mg/kW'h), respectively.

  • 최근 들어, 인터넷 망을 이용한 서비스들이 초연결 구조로 결합 및 융합하여 발전되고 있다. 이러한 사물인터넷망은 기존의 센서 노드, 디바이스, 종단간 단말기 등의 이기종의 디바이스로 구성되며 서로 다른 종류의 프로토콜을 변화하여 실현되고 있다. 그 대표적인 것이 헬스 케어 시스템으로, 사물인터넷을 이용함으로써 의료기기, 환자, 의사들 간의 의료 정보가 매우 신속하게 전달될 수 있는 장점을 가지며, 이동성 및 관리적 측면에서 편리성을 가진다. 그러나 이러한 사물인터넷 망을 이용할 경우 센서 노드에서의 저용량의 메모리 공간, 낮은 컴퓨팅 능력, 저전력 등의 하드웨어적인 제한 요소로 인하여 기존의 암호 엔진을 내장하기는 불가능 하다. 기존의 표준 알고리즘을 구현하기에는 하드웨어적인 제한 요소로 인하여 현재의 기술로는 구현이 어렵다. 따라서 이러한 문제점으로 인해 보안적인 취약성이 존재한다. 현재에는 많은 연구자들은 경량화 알고리즘 및 저전력의 회로 설계에 주안점을 두고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 일반적인 헬스 케어 시스템의 구조를 분석하고, 사물인터넷 기반의 종단간의 헬스 케어 시스템에서의 보안적인 이슈 및 문제점을 분석하였다.
