In this paper, we design and implement the monolithic power factor correction IC for system power modules using a high voltage(50V) CMOS process. The power factor correction IC is designed for power applications, such as refrigerator, air-conditioner, etc. It includes low voltage logic, 5V regulator, analog control circuit, high-voltage high current output drivers, and several protection circuits. And also, the designed IC has standby detection function which detects the output power of the converter stage and generates system down signal when load device is under the standby condition. The simulation and experimental results show that the designed IC acts properly as power factor correction IC with efficient protective functions.

Collection and management of various information related to the ballast water are the essential components for the efficient implementation of the IMO Ballast Water Management Convention. Based upon the ballast water risk assessment and information system developed by other states, regions or even at global level, an integrated information system has been established to be applied to our domestic ports. The integrated information system is composed of four DataBases (DB) which are the Shipping DB, Ballast water DB, Port Environment DB and Species DB. The Shipping DB has been established based on the data collected from the Port Management Information System (Port-MIS). For the Ballast water DB, Ballast water has only been estimated by the loading/unloading of the cargoes as the convention has not come into effect yet. The Port Environment DB and Species DB are being established based on the reference documents and existing and newly collected monitoring data. From these DB, the integrated information system will be able to provide a base for the information search, statistic analysis and risk assessment of ballast water. Once the convention comes into effect, this integrated information system will be applied to manage the domestic ballast water discharge and also the port management.

This paper describes the design and implementation of the DMI display based on ERTMS specification for the Integrated Onboard Signaling System (IOSS). IOSS is consists of ATS, ATC, and ATP based on ERTMS/ETCS Level 1. We propose an improved DMI display design which has single layout concept for the IOSS. When a train is in the ATS, ATC, or ATP railway section, it is protected by the ATS, ATC, or ATP equipment, respectively. Therefore, DMI should display the different information according to the each signaling system. We design DMI display implemented as single layout for ATP, ATS and ATC information. This single layout display has a well integrated look and feel using the ERTMS specification and layout. This is for the driver to perceive the information easily and not to experience inconvenience resulting from the sense of difference when the train crossed into the different signaling section. Finally, we show the implementation result following this concept.

We carry out a demonstration project to verify performance of a Home- Smart Cabinet Panel(H-SCP) at the child care facility. It is difficult to prevent an electrical disaster using a existing cabinet panel because electrical events are invisible and unforeseeable. So we construct a integrated information system with a Home-Smart Cabinet Panel(H-SCP) for management of low-voltage customers. The integrated information system with the H-SCP maintain the transmitted data from H-SCP, alert a electrical event to a administrator and show a state of customer health in real time respectively. A manager of electrical safety can prevent electrical disaster to maintain electrical facilities after analysis on the integrated information system.

Most recognition algorithms for intelligent surveillance system are based on analysis of the video collected from one camera. Video analysis is also used to compute the internal parameters used in the recognition process. The algorithm computes only the video of the fixed area so that it is a insufficient method and it could not use information of the related areas. However, intelligent integrated surveillance system should be constructed to correlate the events in the other areas as well as in the fixed area. In this paper, in order to construct the intelligent integrated surveillance system, we describe the method not to focus on the video of each camera but to aware the whole event by sharing information between cameras, which is more accurate. The method would be used to aware the event in the fixed area such as stations in urban transit.

International Procurement refers to the actions governments and public institutions worldwide buy goods and services. With the WTO agreement on government procurement, most procurements are realized by bidding, which accelerates the opening-up of International procurement. Today International procurement has drawn the world's attention. The scale of international procurement market has been developing fast, reaching about US$ 5.55 trillion this year, In our country, however, due to the difficulty in initial market access to local procurement, the participation in taking international procurement is quite inactive, especially when compared with our exporting scale. The UN procurement market has procurement rules that countries which make contributions to UN and developing countries are favorably treated, and non-discriminatory and public competition in bidding and the optimum purchase are kept, and so on. It has its own head office and many subsidiary agencies. Actually the international procurement market offers an international marketplace for suppliers of all tangible goods and services. Therefore, UN and international procurement markets are great significant foreign markets to our country. But our country lagges behind in international procurement as it has not reached to our monetary contribution to UN. Therefore, it's essential to stimulate our company's participations in the UN procurement market. To fulfil this purpose, first of all, this study analyzes the current status of UN procurement market and Korea's current participation status. Then it investigates the procurement information system of UN and Korea's international procurement market information system as well as assistance system. Based on the above, by studying on the actual spots of the interview investigations on the registered firms in UNPD, this thesis discloses the problems with the Korea's national information system and assistance system on UN procurement market. Finally, this study raises the efficient plan for the integrated international procurement information system & assistance system.

DIS(Disaster Information System) is the information system supporting prevention, readiness, response, and recovery to disasters. DIS must monitor various disaster-related informations, keep various human resources and various material resources, and response real disasters. The conventional DISs are insufficient for integrated situation analysis, real-time report and operation, and utilizing the expertise of disaster personnels. In this study, the information-fusion based DIS framework is proposed for analysing various level informations, providing integrated situation informations and response plans, and processing real-time reports and operation according to field situations. The proposed DIS framework adopts information-fusion technologies and knowledge-based BRMS(Business Rule Management System).

In this paper, we introduce an integrated communication and control system(ICCS) for control of a crane. The system is integrated with a compasite technique as a network interfacing, a user interfacing and a system control for continuous process like as a container crane. The field-bus(Profibus) network module is used to interconnect each input/output module with main control unit. The MMI system for user interfacing is integrated with an ODBC-based data management tool and IECl131-based control logic design tool(Soft-Logic Designer:SLD). The each programmed control task in the main Controller is executed using a petri-net based scheduler.

The purpose of this study is to define a method of building an integrated service to provide various science and technology knowledge infrastructures that are helpful in R&D activities, and to show the cases that are adapted the methodologies. Knowledge infrastructures scattered throughout the entire R&D cycle, such as generating/development of ideas, finding the R&D project, performing the project, and spreading results, are segmented in terms of services, functions, information, and data, and links and converges to provide the knowledge infrastructure that desired by users in one place. We define the integrated service classification, integration level model, integrated architecture, and integrated user authentication system in consideration of logical linkage and integration rather than physical integration of individual knowledge infrastructures. Also, we considered the extensibility as the reference model for building of similar integrated service.

In this study, the establishment strategies of Military Standardization Information System and Integrated Database(DB) based on standardization information are provided. The establishment strategies introduced here are based on the appliable common(commercial and military) classification of specifications/standards. The common(commercial and military) classification of specifications/standards adapted in this study can be constructed through mapping by 'grouping' between the MS(Military Specification/Standards) and KS(Korean industry Standards) to increase efficiency. In detail, the establishment of Integrated Database(DB) based on standardization information provides the various channel of interactive communication among specifications/standards. Additionally, standardization information systems provide the basis of the integrated specifications/standards converged between the commercial and military sector.
