KM 기반의 기록관리 및 일반 정보관리 통합화 연구 - 공기업을 중심으로 - (A Study of Integrated RM & IM with KM Governance: Public Enterprise Centered)

  • 기업의 지식자원은 내부성과물인 기록과 외부에서 획득한 정보자료로 구분된다. 지식자원의 디지털화로 인해 내부 생산 기록과 외부 획득 정보자료의 생산 및 획득과정, 저장 및 검색기술, 이용자의 자료이용 패턴등이 유사해지고 그로 인해 생산에서 유통, 저장, 보존까지의 수명주기도 유사해졌다. 따라서 기록과 일반 정보자료의 구분 혹은 분리 개념의 전통적인 관리 방법에서 벗어난 통합관리의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 이 연구는 기록관리와 정보자료 관리의 분야 특성을 비교하고 통합관리를 위해 KM 기반의 구축 전략의 필요성과 구체적인 방법론을 제시하였다. 특히 정부예산의 상당부분이 투입되는 공기업의 지식자원 관리를 중심으로 통합대상의 선정과 통합방법, 통합주체에 대한 방안을 제시하였다.

Discovery Layer in Library Retrieval: VuFind as an Open Source Service for Academic Libraries in Developing Countries

  • This paper provides an overview of the emergence of resource discovery systems and services, along with their advantages, best practices, and current landscapes. It outlines some of the key services and functionalities of a comprehensive discovery model suitable for academic libraries in developing countries. The proposed model (VuFind as a discovery tool) performs like other existing web-scale resource discovery systems, both commercial and open-source, and is capable of providing information resources from different sources in a single-window search interface. The objective of the paper is to provide seamless access to globally distributed subscribed as well as open access resources through its discovery interface, based on a unified index. This model uses Koha, DSpace, and Greenstone as back-ends and VuFind as a discovery layer in the front-end and has also integrated many enhanced search features like Bento-box search, Geodetic search, and full-text search (using Apache Tika). The goal of this paper is to provide the academic community with a one-stop shop for better utilising and integrating heterogeneous bibliographic data sources with VuFind (https://vufind.org/vufind).

구술문서 자료분석을 위한 정보검색기술의 응용 (Information Technology Application for Oral Document Analysis)

  • 본 연구는 정보검색기술을 응용해서 구술문서 자료를 효율적으로 분석하는 시스템 개발을 목적으로 한다. 여기서 사용된 기술은 용어검색, 문서요약기술, 클러스터링기술 문서분류기술 주제추적기술 등이 있다. 본 연구를 위해서 전북지역에서 채록한 구술자료를 이용하였다. 구술문서 구조의 특성을 반영하면서 분석의 단위를 정하고 내용의 자동분류 및 분류체계에 따른 분류도 시도하였다. 특히 주제를 추적하면서 순서에 따라서 검색해 가는 기술은 세계적으로도 아직 연구단계에 있던 것을 실제로 구현하였다. 이러한 5가지의 검색기술이 한 시스템에서 통합적으로 처리될 수 있다는 것도 이 연구가 이룬 성과이다. 이 연구의 기대효과는 구술문서 분석의 신뢰성 타당성 효용성을 높여서 구술문화연구에도 큰 기여를 할 것으로 기대된다.

  • This study serves as a part for the development of an integrated structural design system. Efficient data management is essential in engineering computer applications where the volume of data is large and the data flow and sharing are required. From a viewpoint of computer application, building structures can be considered to be a mass ofdata. The centralized database(CDB) and database management system frees the application from the details of managing data storage and retrieval while providing a common pool of information. For this, systematic information analysis and modeling have to be preceded. In this paper we described the result of database modeling of building structure.

  • Automatic language translation has greatly advanced due to the increased user needs and Information retrieval in WWW. This paper utilizes the integrated knowledge bases of noun and verb networks for automatic translation of ambiguous words in the Korean sentences, through the selectional restriction relation in the sentences. And this paper presents the method to verify validity of Korean noun semantic networks that are used for the construction of the selectional restriction relation by applying the networks to the syntactic and semantic properties Integration of Korean Noun Networks into the SENKOV system will provide the accurate and efficient knowledge bases for the semantic analysis of Korean NLP.

Retrieval Spectral Albedo using red and NIR band of SPOT/VGT

  • Albedo is one of the critical parameters for understanding global climate change and energy/water balance. In this study, we used red and NIR reflectance from Satellite Pour I'Obervation de la Terre (SPOT)/Vegetation (VGT) S1 product. The product is preprocessed for users that they are atmospherically corrected using Simple Method Atmospheric Correction (SMAC) by Vision on Technology (VITO) for calculating broadband albedo. Roujean's Bi-directional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF) model is a semi-empirical method used for BRDF angular integration and inversion. Each kernel of Roujean's model was multi integrated by angle components (i.e., viewing zenith, solar zenith, and relative azimuth angle). Black-sky hemispherical function is integrated by observational angle; whereas, white-sky hemispherical efficient is integrated by incident angle. Estimated spectral albedo of red ($0.61{\sim}0.68{\mu}m$, B2) and near infrared ($0.79{\sim}0.89{\mu}m$, B3) have a good agreement with MODIS albedo products.

  • 이 연구는 통합목록/메타데이터시스템으로 전세계에 광범위한 서비스가 제공되고 있는 OCLC의 Connexion 시스템에 관한 유저빌러티를 실험한 연구이다. 유저빌러티실험은 상업적인 성공을 달성하기 위한 기업들의 노력의 하나로써 시작되었으며 문헌정보학에는 특정한 정보 검색 시스템이 자신의 이용자들에게 좀 더 나은 서비스를 제공하기 위해 시스템 인터페이스를 개선시키고자하는 노력의 일환으로 도입되어 사용되어 왔다. Connexion 서비스는 기본적으로 MARC 기준을 바탕으로 인코딩 되어 메타데이터 서비스를 통합하여 제공하는 대표적인 통합 목록/메타데이터서비스로 알려져 있다. 실험전반을 통해서 이용자의 실험과정이 녹화분석 되었으며, 6개 영역 17 가지 사항의 유저빌러티 문제점들이 파악되었다. 또한 마지막으로 17 가지 사항들에 대한 각각의 개선책들이 조심스럽게 제안되었다.

  • This study provides a new operation strategy which can guarantee the data consistency of engineering information among the various intelligent information systems. We present the strategies for the operation of bridges engineering information and the construction methodology of integrated database. The two core standard techniques are adopted to construct the integrated database. One of these standards is the Standard for the Exchange of Product Model Data (STEP) for CAD/CAE information and the other is the Extensible Markup Language (XML) for engineering document information. This study can transform a document me into a data type for web-based application modules which assist end-users in searching and retrieval of engineering document data. In addition, relaying algorithm is developed to integrate the two different information, e.g. CAD/CAE information and engineering document information. The pilot application modules for management and maintenance of existing bridge are also developed to show application of the strategy.

  • Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) are the most abundant form of human genetic variation and are a resource for mapping complex genetic traits. A genome is covered by millions of these markers, and researchers are able to compare which SNPs predominate in people who have a certain disease. The International HapMap Project, launched in October, 2002, motivated us to start the Korean HapMap Project in order to support Korean HapMap infrastructure development and to accelerate the finding of genes that affect health, disease, and individual responses to medications and environmental factors. A Korean SNP and haplotype database system was developed through the Korean HapMap Project to provide Korean researchers with useful data-mining information about disease-associated biomarkers for studies on complex diseases, such as diabetes, cancer, and stroke. Also, we have developed a series of software programs for association studies as well as the comparison and analysis of Korean HapMap data with other populations, such as European, Chinese, Japanese, and African populations. The developed software includes HapMapSNPAnalyzer, SNPflank, HWE Test, FESD, D2GSNP, SNP@Domain, KMSD, KFOD, KFRG, and SNP@WEB. We developed a disease-related SNP retrieval system, in which OMIM, GeneCards, and MeSH information were integrated and analyzed for medical research scientists. The kHapMap Browser system that we developed and integrated provides haplotype retrieval and comparative study tools of human ethnicities for comprehensive disease association studies (http://www.khapmap.org). It is expected that researchers may be able to retrieve useful information from the kHapMap Browser to find useful biomarkers and genes in complex disease association studies and use these biomarkers and genes to study and develop new drugs for personalized medicine.

EST Knowledge Integrated Systems (EKIS): An Integrated Database of EST Information for Research Application

  • The EST Knowledge Integrated System, EKIS (http://ekis.kribb.re.kr), was established as a part of Korea's Ministry of Education, Science and Technology initiative for genome sequencing and application research of the biological model organisms (GEAR) project. The goals of the EKIS are to collect EST information from GEAR projects and make an integrated database to provide transcriptomic and metabolomic information for biological scientists. The EKIS constitutes five independent categories and several retrieval systems in each category for incorporating massive EST data from high-throughput sequencing of 65 different species. Through the EKIS database, scientists can freely access information including BLAST functional annotation as well as Genechip and pathway information for KEGG. By integrating complex data into a framework of existing EST knowledge information, the EKIS provides new insights into specialized metabolic pathway information for an applied industrial material.
