RCS/ISAR를 이용한 레이다 표적분석 기법 및 소프트웨어 개발 (A Development of the Analysis Technique for Radar Target Signature and the Sofware using RCS/ISAR)

  • A development of a software on radar target signature analysis is presented in this paper The target signature includes Radar Cross Section(RCS) prediction, Range Profile(RP) processing and Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar(ISAR) processing. Physical Optics(PO) is the basic calculation method for RCS prediction and Geometrical Optics(GO) is used for ray tracing in the field calculation of multiple reflection. For RP and ISAR, Fast Fourier Transform(FFT) and Matrix Pencil(MP) method were implemented for post-processing. Those results are integrated into two separate softwares named as Radar Target Signature Generator(RTSG) and Radar Target Signature Analyser(RTSA). Several test results show good performances in radar signature prediction and analysis.

  • A recently constructed commercial ship is a complexive integrated system like a small city in which has a generator, power distributing facilities, various radio equipments and high power circuit breakers are installed. Therfore it could make a malfunction of the microprocessor in the various control units which are so important during the ocean voyage of larger ship. This paper has studied whether is properly required or not on the view of the actual electro magnetic compatibility status on the electromagnetic interference and suceptibility test requirments listed on the IACS (International Association of the Classification Society). Through these results, we are looking forward to the new suggestions of the Electro Magnetic Compatibility test in order to reduce the malfunction in the ship regarding test item, test level, and test condition.

  • 최근 생물정보학 분야에서는 이질적인 데이터 형식으로 제공되는 모티프 자원들을 하나의 자원으로 통합하고자 하는 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 이러한 통합을 위해 웹 기반 cross-reference를 이용한 논리적 통합이 주로 사용되어져 왔고, 이러한 이질적인 데이터의 상호교환을 위한 표준 형식으로 XML을 정의하여 이응하기 시작하였다. 피러나 이러한 웹 기반 cross-reference를 이용한 논리적 통합은 복잡한 질의 처리 문제, 중복된 데이터베이스 핸들링 문제 등을 지니고 있다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 이러한 문제점들을 개선하기 위해 물리적으로 모티프 자원들을 하나의 통할 데이터베이스로 구축하였고, 통합된 모티프 자원의 표준적 상호 교환을 위해 XML 생성기를 구현하였다.

Integrated Visual and Speech Parameters in Korean Numeral Speech Recognition

  • In this paper, we used image information for the enhancement of Korean numeral speech recognition. First, a noisy environment was made by Gaussian generator at each 10 dB level and the generated signal was added to original Korean numeral speech. And then, the speech was analyzed to recognize Korean numeral speech. Speech through microphone was pre-emphasized with 0.95, Hamming window, autocorrelation and LPC analysis was used. Second, the image obtained by camera, was converted to gray level, autocorrelated, and analyzed using LPC algorithm, to which was applied in speech analysis, Finally, the Korean numerial speech recognition with image information was more ehnanced than speech-only, especially in ‘3’, ‘5’and ‘9’. As the same LPC algorithm and simple image management was used, additional computation a1gorithm like a filtering was not used, a total speech recognition algorithm was made simple.

  • This paper deals with Wound Rotor Synchronous Motor (WRSM) purposely designed for Integrated Starter and Generator (ISG) installed in 42V automotive electrical system. Not only design objective and specifications of WRSM, but its adaptive design to minimize torque ripple and back-EMF Total Harmonics Distortion (THD) are considered. Furthermore, design characteristics of designed prototype have been investigated numerically in terms of torque, back EMF, loss, and efficiency, which are verified by performance comparison with Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine based on Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

  • The steam turbine used in nuclear power plant is modeled for the purpose of verification of control system rather than the operator education. The valves, reheater and generator are modeled also and integrated into the simulator. After that, the operation data and the designed data such as heat balance diagram are utilized to identify the model parameters. It was evident that model outputs of developed simulator are very close to the measured operating ones. The simulator within dynamic model was used to verify and validate the whole control system together with field instruments. And the target plant has been operating long time.

  • XML 데이터베이스 시스템이 개발되면 다른 XML 데이터베이스 시스템과의 성능 비교, 또는 자체 기능에 대한 성능 평가를 수행한다. 성능 평가를 수행하기 위해서는 해당 성능 평가에 적합한 XML 데이터를 생성하는 XML 데이터 생성기가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 지금까지 개발되었던 다양한 XML 데이터 생성기들의 특징 및 장단점을 살펴보고, 이를 기반으로 하나의 사용자 인터페이스를 이용하여 XML 데이터를 생성하는 통합 XML 데이터 생성기의 설계 내용을 기술한다. 통합 XML 데이터 생성기는 레코드 단위의 텍스트 데이터 파일의 내용을 기반으로 XML 데이터를 생성한다. 통합 XML 데이터 생성기는 관계형 데이터베이스 시스템의 데이터를 이용하여 XML 데이터로 생성하는 등 사용자가 제공하는 데이터 활용이 가능하며, 타 XML 데이터 생성기에 비해 다양한 XML 데이터를 생성함으로써 광범위한 XML 데이터베이스 시스템 성능 평가에 이용될 수 있다.

  • A quantum key distribution (QKD) provides in principle an unconditional secure communication unlike the standard public key cryptography depending on the computational complexity. In particular, free-space QKD can give a secure solution even without a fiber-based infrastructure. In this paper, we investigate an overview of recent research trends in the free-space QKD system, including satellite and handheld moving platforms. In addition, we show the key components for a free-space QKD system such as the integrated components, single photon detectors, and quantum random number generator. We discuss the technical challenges and progress toward a future free- space QKD system and components.

플랫 판넬표시장치용 DC-DC 컨버터 집적회로의 설계 (A Integrated Circuit Design of DC-DC Converter for Flat Panel Display)

  • 본 논문은 플랫판넬 디스플레이 장치에 사용할 DC-DC 변환기의 설계에 관한 것이다. 6~14[V]의 단일 DC 전원전압으로부터 플랫 판넬 백바이어스용 -5[V] DC 전압 발생회로(Negative DC Voltage Generator)와 승압된 15[V], 23[V] DC 전압 발생회로, 그리고 강압된 3.3[V] DC를 얻기 위한 회로를 설계하였다. 또한 기준 전압원으로 사용하기 위한 밴드갭 회로와 발진기, 레벨변환기 회로, 고온보호 회로 등을 설계하였다. 제작공정은 부(-)전압으로 동작하는 회로와 기타 회로를 분리하기 위해서 트리플-웰(Triple-Well)구조가 적용된 공정 내압 30[V], 최소선폭 0.35[${\mu}m$], 2P_2M CMOS 공정을 사용하였다. 설계된 모든 회로는 시뮬레이션으로 검증하여 동작을 확인하였으며 원 칩으로 제작하여 플랫판넬 디스플레이 장치에 응용할 수 있도록 기능을 확보하였다.

  • This paper introduces the design concepts and characteristics of WinDS3000$^{TM}$ which is a trade mark of Doosan's 3MW offshore/onshore wind turbine. WinDS3000$^{TM}$ has been designed in consideration of high RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Serviceability) and cost effectiveness for the TC Ia condition in GL guideline. An integrated drive train design with an innovative three-stage gearbox has been introduced to minimize nacelle weight of the wind turbine and to enhance a high reliability for transmission. A permanent magnet generator with full converter system has been introduced to get higher efficiency in part load operation, and grid friendliness use of 50 Hz and 60 Hz grid. A pitch regulated variable speed power control with individual pitch system has been introduced to regulate rotor torque while generator reaction torque can be adjusted almost instantaneously by the associated power electronics. An individual pitch control system has been introduced to reduce fatigue loads of blade and system. The wind turbine has been also equipped with condition monitoring and diagnostic systems in order to meet maintainability requirements. And internal maintenance crane in nacelle has been developed. As a result, the maintenance cost was dramatically reduced and maintenance convenience also enhanced in offshore condition.
