효모의 세포주기 관련 유전자 발현 통합 데이터를 사용하여 본 연구실에서 개발한 유전자 발현 통합 분석프로그램을 사용하여, 클러스터링 알고리즘의 성능을 비교하고 데이터내에 존재하는 클러스터 개수를 추정하기 위해 FOM 분석을 적용하였으며, 이 분석방법을 통하여 K-means, SOM, Fuzzy c-means 클러스터링 방법의 성능을 서로 비교하였다. 클러스터 개수를 추정한 다음 3가지 클러스터링 방법에 대한 클러스터링 결과 비교, 클러스터의 기능할당 및 모티프 분석을 시도하였다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 분석 방법은 DNA chip 발현 데이터의 일반적인 분석방법을 유전자 발현 패턴의 유사성을 토대로 한 클러스터링 방법에 근간을 두고 있다. 본 논문에서는 클러스터링한 후 각 클러스터의 기능할당 및 모티프 분석에 대한 일반적인 분석방법을 제시하였으며, 본 연구실에서 개발한 유전자 발현분석 통합 프로그램이 효율적으로 사용될 수 있음을 보여주고 있다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of an integrated health promotion program provided by one community health post by comparing this program with more traditional health promotion programs provided by other institutions. Methods: The participants in this study were 110 selected local residents from I city. Of them, 55 residents participated in the integrated health promotion program in the community health post, and the other 55 participated in a program at another institution. SPSS 21.0 was used for descriptive analysis. Result: Scores for program effects, satisfaction level, quality of life related to health and depression were higher for the integrated health promotion program offered by the community health post compared to health promotion programs of the other institution. The differences were statistically significant. Conclusion: The findings of the study indicate that the integrated health promotion program can be helpful for community health posts in being successful in future plans to meet the needs of residents. Use of this program will also contribute to the development of community health posts but sustained research efforts need to be channeled into these programs.

This paper describes the design optimization of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs). An optimization framework has been developed and implemented for the conceptual design of UAVs. An integrated design analysis program was developed with several analysis modules such as propulsion, performance, mission, weight, and stability and control. A UAV configuration design optimization was performed by implementing the integrated analysis to enhance the endurance of UAVs. A SQP optimizer was utilized to build an optimization module for this program and sensitivity analysis was performed to determine the trends of shape variables for developing optimization objective. In conclusion, the results indicate that the resulting optimized UAVs configurations show performance improvements over the baseline design and reliable analysis results.

Diketopiperazine is produced by various organisms, including bacteria, fungi, and animals, and has been suggested as a novel signal molecule involved in the modulation of genes with various biological functions. Vibrio vulnificus, which causes septicemia in humans, produces cyclo($\small{L}$-phenylalanine-$\small{L}$-proline) (cFP). To understand the biological roles of cFP, the effect of the compound on the expression of the total mRNA in V. vulnificus was assessed by next-generation sequencing. Based on the transcriptomic analysis, we classified the cFP-regulated genes into functional categories and clustered them according to the expression patterns resulted from treatment with cFP. From a total of 4,673 genes, excepting the genes encoding tRNA in V. vulnificus, 356 genes were up-regulated and 602 genes were down-regulated with an RPKM (reads per kilobase per million) value above 3. The genes most highly induced by cFP comprised those associated with the transport and metabolism of inorganic molecules, particularly iron. The genes negatively regulated by cFP included those associated with energy production and conversion, as well as carbohydrate metabolism. Noticeably, numerous genes related with biofilm formation were modulated by cFP. We demonstrated that cFP interferes significantly with the biofilm formation of V. vulnificus.

DNA칩의 유전자 발현 데이터의 통합적 분석을 위하여 매트랩을 기반으로 한 통합분석 프로그램을 구축하였다. 이 프로그램은 유전자 발현 분석을 위해 일반적으로 많이 쓰는 방법인 Hierarchical clustering(HC), K-means, Self-organizing map(SOM), Principal component analysis(PCA)를 지원하며, 이외에 Fuzzy c-means방법과 최근에 발표된 Singular value decomposition(SVD) 분석 방법도 지원하고 있다. 통합분석프로그램의 성능을 알아보기 위하여 효모의 포자형성(sporulation)과 정의 유전자발현 데이터를 사용하였으며, 각 분석 방법에 따른 분석 결과를 제시하였으며, 이 프로그램이 유전자 발현데이타의 통합적인 분석을 위해 효과적으로 사용될 수 있음을 제시하였다.

Here, we demonstrate the use of MALDI-TOF as a fast and simple analytical approach to evaluate the DNA-binding capability of various peptides. Specifically, by varying the amino acid sequence of the peptides consisting of lysine (K) and tryptophan (W), we identified peptides with strong DNA-binding capabilities using MALDI-TOF. Mass spectrometric analysis reveals an interesting novel finding that lysine residues show sequence selective preference, which used to be considered as mediator of electrostatic interactions with DNA phosphate backbones. Moreover, tryptophan residues show higher affinity to DNA than lysine residues. Since there are numerous possible combinations to make peptide oligomers, it is valuable to introduce a simple and reliable analytical approach in order to quickly identify DNA-binding peptides.

Purpose: This study aimed to develop and evaluate an integrated management program to enhance self-efficacy, compliance with sick-role behaviors, symptom management, and biomarker indication in hemodialysis patients. Methods: The integrated management program was developed through a systematic review of literature, analysis of relevant online data, and expert validation. It comprised 480 min of video-based education delivered eight times over four weeks, supplemented by weekly phone consultations and text message support from a nurse. To evaluate the program's effectiveness, it was administered to 44 patients with hemodialysis in a single group in a pre-post test experimental study. Changes in self-efficacy, sick-role behavior compliance, dialysis symptom index, and biomarkers were assessed. Results: The program yielded statistically significant improvements in self-efficacy (t=-7.13, p<.001), sick-role behavioral compliance (t=-7.35, p<.001), dialysis symptom index (t=4.32, p<.001), and blood urea nitrogen levels (t=2.55, p=.014) among the participants. Conclusion: The integrated management program is an effective intervention for improving hemodialysis patients' self-efficacy, compliance with sick-role behaviors, and experience of symptoms. Additionally, it is considered an intervention with high clinical applicability and efficiency through video reproducibility.

Rubbed films of a series of poly(p-phenylene 3,6-bis(4-(n-alkyloxy)phenyloxy)pyromellitimide)s (Cn-PMDA-PDA PIs), which are well-defined brush PIs composed of two aromatic-aliphatic bristles per repeat unit of a fully rodlike backbone, were investigated in detail using atomic force microscopy (AFM), optical retardation analysis and linearly polarized infrared (IR) spectroscopy in order to elucidate their surface morphology and molecular orientation. The liquid crystal (LC) alignment behavior and the anchoring energy of LC molecules on the rubbed films were also determined.

The pre- and post-processor for finite element structural analysis considering the user-friendly device are developed by using GUI. These can be used on WINDOWS' environment which is realized the multi-tasking and the concurrency by object-oriented paradigm. They are designed to control integratedly the pre-processing, execution and the post-processing of the finite element structural analysis program on multiple windows. These object-oriented modeling approach can be used for complex integrated engineering systems.

This paper is concerned with the integrated computer program system aiming at efficiently performing the structural analysis and design. The developed computer program system is introduced and applied to a simple two-dimensional structure to show the general concept of the integrated system. Some design modifications and re-analyses are illustrated including local mesh refinement, These show the efficiency in doing design modification and analysis.
