2D-BBDB형 파 에너지 흡수장치 에 작용하는 음의 시간평균 파 표류력 해석 (Reverse Drift Force of a Floating 2D-BBDB Wave Energy Absorber)

  • The motion and time-mean drift force of a 2-D floating BBDB in waves are studied with and without taking account of fluctuating air pressure in the air chamber. It has been found numerically that the drift for a of the BBDB is in the reverse direction of propagation of the incident waves over specific frequency ranges as found by McCormick through his experiment work. The drift force is calculated by Pinkster's near-field method. Since Maruo's formula method for the drift force is always positive, Maruo's formula is only approximate and should be replaced by the correct near-field method.

Dynamic responses of an FPSO moored on sloped seabed under the action of environmental loads

  • The inclination of seabed profile (sloped seabed) is one of the known topographic features which can be observed at different seabed level in the large offshore basin. A mooring system connected between the platform and global seabed is an integral part of the floating structure which tries to keep the floating platform settled in its own position against hostile sea environment. This paper deals with an investigation of the motion responses of an FPSO platform moored on the sloped seabed under the combined action of wave, wind and current loads. A three-dimensional panel discretization method has been used to model the floating body. To introduce the connection of multi-segmented non-linear elastic catenary mooring cables with the sloped seabed, a quasi-static composite catenary model is employed. The model and analysis have been completed by using hydrodynamic diffraction code AQWA. Validation of the numerical model has been successfully carried out with an experimental work published in the latest literature. The analysis procedure in this study has been followed time domain analysis. The study involves an objective oriented investigation on platform motions, in order to identify the effects of the slopped seabed, the action of the wave, wind and current loads and the presence of riser system. In the end, an effective analysis has been performed to identify a stable mooring model in demand of reducing structural responses of the FPSO.

부유식 해상관측시설의 파랑중 운동 및 표류력 해석 (Analysis of Motion Response and Drift Force in Waves for the Floating-Type Ocean Monitoring Facilities)

  • 본 연구에서는 부유식 해상관측시설의 파랑중 운동응답 및 표류력 해석을 위해 Green 적분방정식에 기초한 3차원 수치해법을 개발하였다. 본 방법에서는 소오스분포와 더브렛분포를 함께 사용하였으며, 판요소로는 3각형 요소와 4각형 요소를 병행 사용하였다. 불규칙파수 현상을 제거하기 위해 개량된 적분방정식 해법을 적용하였으며, 시간평균 표류력의 계산은 원인별 성분파악이 가능한 물체표면 직접적분법을 사용하였다. 개발된 전산 프로그램의 검증을 위해 비교자료가 있는 구형 부유체에 대한 계산이 수행되었고, 이에 대한 계산을 통해 개발된 프로그램으로부터 신뢰성있는 결과를 얻을 수 있음을 확인하였다. 실제시설에 대한 적용예로서 직경 2.6m 흘수 3.77m인 원통형 해상관측용 부이에 대한 계산을 수행하여 그 운동특성 및 표류력 특성을 고찰하였다. 운동응답 해석결과는 공진주파수를 설치해역의 파랑 탁월주파수 범위밖에 놓이도록 부이의 형상과 치수를 조정하는데 활용할 수 있고, 또 이들 계산을 통해 댐퍼 등의 설치효과도 미리 예측할 수 있다. 또한, 계산된 표류력은 황천중에서 계류계에 걸리는 최대하중을 예측하는데 이용할 수 있으므로 계류계의 설계에 있어 중요한 기초자료로 활용된다. 본 수치해법은 원칙적으로 대상 부유체의 형상에 제약을 받지 않으므로 향후 다양한 형상의 부유식 해상관측 시설들의 설계 및 설치$\cdot$운용에 폭 넓게 적용할 수 있다.

대형해양구조물에 작용하는 파랑하중에 관하여 (On the Wave Loads on a Large Volume Offshore Structure)

  • The first order mation responses of a floating structure and the hydrodynamic forces in regular waves are obtained by means of the linear potential theory. The first order potential is obtained directly from the numerical solution of the improved Green integral equation which is characterized by the combined surface distribution of sources and normal doublets. The mean second order wave drift force is also calculated by means of the near field method. It seems that the present method gives more accurate numerical results than other methods and the agreement between numerical and experimental results appears to be satisfactory.

Time-domain hydroelastic analysis with efficient load estimation for random waves

  • Hydroelastic interactions of a deformable floating body with random waves are investigated in time domain. Both hydroelastic motion and structural dynamics are solved by expansion of elastic modes and Fourier transform for the random waves. A direct and efficient structural analysis in time domain is developed. In particular, an efficient way of obtaining distributive loads for the hydrodynamic integral terms including convolution integral by using Fubini theory is explained. After confirming correctness of respective loading components, calculations of full distributions of loads in random waves are expedited by reformulating all the body loading terms into distributed forms. The method is validated by extensive convergence tests and comparisons against the counterparts of the frequency-domain analysis. Characteristics of motion/deformation responses and stress resultants are investigated through a parametric study with varying bending rigidity and types of random waves. Relative contributions of componential loads are identified. The consequence of elastic-mode resonance is underscored.

Java 언어에 structure type의 도입 (The Structure Type Introduced in Java)

  • Java 프로그램밍 언어는 general-purpose concurrent object-oriented 언어로 알려져 있다. Java 언어는 개념과 구문 모두가 매우 간결하고 통일되어 있으며 인터넷 환경에서 최대한 활용되도록 하기 위하여 가상기계 개념을 도입하여 목적코드를 생성한다. 프로그래밍 언어에서 가장 중요한 부분이 data type 부분이다. Java 언어는 primitive type과 reference type을 지원한다. Primitive type과 reference type을 지원한다. Primitive type에는 boolean type integral type이 있다. Integral type에는 character, byte, short integer, integer, long integer, single-precision 과 double-precision floating point number가 있다. Reference type에는 class type, interface type, array type이 있다. 그러나 Java 언어는 general-purpose 프로그래밍 언어가 일반적으로 지원하는 structure type을 지원하지 않는다. 대신에 class type이 structure type을 포함하여 지원하는 구조로 되어 있다. 그러나 class type과 structure type은 서로 상이한 data type으로 판단된다. 따라서 Java 언어가 general-purpose의 성격을 가지기 위해서는 structure type을 명시적으로 지원하는 것이 바람직하다고 생각된다. 이 논문은 structure type을 Java 언어에 포함시킬 것을 제안한다.

  • The local motion at the top of an A-frame fixed on a research vessel for deep sea ROV floating in irregular waves is studied in the time-domain. The motion is analyzed in the time-domain using the convolution integral of the radiation forces. The memory effect functions and infinite frequency added masses are obtained from the solution of the three dimensional improved Green integral equation in the frequency domain by making use of the Fourier transformation.

유한수심(有限水深)의 해상(海上)에서 규칙파(規則波)에 놓인 구(球)의 운동특성(運動特性) (On the Motion Characteristics of a Freely-Floating Sphere in a Water of Finite Depth)

  • Herein the motion of a freely-floating sphere in a water of finite depth is analysed within the framework of a linear potential theory. A velocity potential describing fluid motion is generated by distributing pulsating sources and dipoles on the immersed surface of the sphere, without introducing an inner flow model. The potential becomes the solution of an integral equation of Fredholm's second type. In the light of the vertical axisymmetry of the flow, surface integrals reduce to line integrals, which are approximated by summation of the products of the integrand and the length of segments along the contour. Following this computational scheme the diffraction potential and the radiation potential are determined from the same algorithm of solving a set of simultaneous linear equations. Upon knowing values of the potentials hydrodynamic forces such as added mass, hydrodynamic damping and wave exciting forces are evaluated by the integrating pressure over the immersed surface of the sphere. It is found in the case of finite water depth that the hydrodynamic forces are much different from the corresponding ones in deep water. Accordingly motion response of the sphere in a water of finite depth displays a particular behavior both in a amplitude and phase.

선형 회귀분석 기반 합산영역테이블 정밀도 향상 기법 (Linear Regression-Based Precision Enhancement of Summed Area Table)

  • 합산영역테이블은 이미지 픽셀 주변 임의의 사각 영역 내 픽셀 값의 합을 4개 픽셀의 합차로 표현할 수 있는 자료구조이다. 그러나 합산영역테이블은 픽셀의 값을 한쪽 모서리에서 다른 쪽 모서리로 순차 누적하므로, 이미지의 크기가 큰 경우에 부동소수점 방식의 표현 범위를 초과하는 문제가 일어날 수 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해 본 논문은 선형 회귀분석을 이용하여 이미지를 근사하고, 회귀분석식과의 차이만을 누적하여 정밀도 누적 오차를 감소시킬 수 있는 제안한다. 또한, 이미지의 복원 시 회귀분석식의 합을 2중 적분을 이용하여 상수시간에 구할 수 있는 방법을 함께 제안 한다. 이미지의 복원에 대한 실험을 수행하였고, 결과는 제안하는 방식이 일반적인 고정오프셋 방식보다 누적 오차를 감소시킴을 보였다.

Differential Evolution Approach for Performance Enhancement of Field-Oriented PMSMs

  • In a field-oriented vector-controlled permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) control system, the d-axis current control loop can offer a free degree of freedom which can be used to improve control performances. However, in the industry the desired d-axis current command is usually set as zero without using the free degree of freedom. This paper proposes a method to use the degree of freedom for control performance improvement. It is assumed that both the inner loop proportional-integral (PI) current controller and the q-axis outer loop PI speed controller are tuned by the well-known tuning rules. This paper gives an optimal d-axis reference current command generator such that some useful performance indexes are minimized and/or a tradeoff between conflicting performance criteria is made. This paper uses a differential evolution algorithm to autotune the parameter values of the optimal d-axis reference current command generator. This paper implements the proposed control system in real time on a Texas Instruments TMS320F28335 floating-point DSP. This paper also gives experimental results showing the practicality and feasibility of the proposed control system, along with simulation results.
