Study on tests on interfaces and connection of end fitting of composite insulators (복합 애자류의 수분침투시험평가기술에 대한 고찰)

  • 송전선이나 전기기기의 나선(裸線)부분을 절연하고 동시에 기계적으로 유지 또는 지지하기 위한 절연체와 이것과 일체로 조립된 금구류로 구성된 절연지지물인 애자는 전기적으로 충분한 절연내력을 가지게 하기 위하여 다수의 주름을 만들어 표면에 따른 거리를 크게 한다. 이는 표면이 습하였을 때, 염분이나 먼지 등이 부착하였을 때 절연내력이 저하되는 것을 방지하는 데 효과가 있다. 그리고 재질별(세라믹, 유리, 합성수지 등), 모양별(원판형, 원주형, 중공, 갓형 등), 용도별(전차 선로용, 발전소 또는 변전소용, 통신 선로용 등) 및 사용방법(현수용, 내장용, 인류용, 고정용 등)에 따라 다양하게 분류된다. 본 논문에서는 복합 애자류(composite insulators)의 여러 가지 성능평가 시험방법 중에서 복합 애자의 여러 계면과 연결 금구의 접속부(interfaces and connections of end fittings)에 대한 이상 유무를 확인하는 시험인 수분침투시험평가기술에 대해 고찰하였다.

Characteristics of a Corona between a Wiring Clamp (Dead End Clamp) and a Porcelain Insulator Used in a 154kV Power Receptacle

  • The occurrence of a corona is that electrical discharge due to the heterogeneity that occurs when an electrical field is concentrated in an electrode due to a cusp formed on said electrode. Wire treatment at the end of a 154kV dead end clamp for end users accelerates the occurrence of corona, which in turn leads to power loss and noise. In this study, the characteristics of the corona which occurs between porcelain insulators and support clamps of overhead lines used in l54kV power receiving facilities for end users were investigated. The corona, which cannot be identified by one common method, was measured utilizing a UV image camera. A risk assessment for fire damage and its status was suggested. The stress distribution of the electrical field by length of bare wire was suggested by means of the finite element method (FEMLAB). As a result, it was found to affect a porcelain insulators. These results can be utilized for the enhancement of clamp installation and safety in power facilities.

Electrical Characteristics of Organic TFTs Using ODPA-ODA and 6FDA-ODA Polyimide Gate Insulators

  • A new dry-processing method of organic gate dielectric film in field-effect transistors (FETs) was proposed. The method use vapor deposition polymerization (VDP) that is continuous and low temperature process. It has the advantages of shadow mask patterning and dry processing in flexible low-cost large area applications. Here, 80 nm-thick Al as a gate electrode was evaporated through shadow mask. Gate insulators used two different polyimides. The one material was 4,4'-oxydiphtahlic anhydride (ODPA) and 4,4'-oxydianiline (ODA). Another was 2,2-bis(3,4-dicarboxyphenyl) Hexafluoropropane Dianhydride (6FDA) and 4,4' -oxydianiline (ODA). These were co-deposited by high-vaccum thermal-evapora and cured at 150 $^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour, respectively. Pentacene as a semiconductor and 100 nm-thick Au as a source and drain electrode were evaporated through shadow mask.

  • This paper presents the results of spectrum analysis of leakage current waveforms on contaminated polymer insulators under fog conditions. This is a basic study on development of a monitoring for aging degree and surface pollution state using distortion rate(%) of 3rd and 5th harmonics according fundamental frequency[60Hz] under environment conditions. Arcing on the surface was always associated with distortion in the leakage current ; hence the low frequency components of the leakage current can be used as a means to evaluate the surface degradation. The results indicate that the distortion rate by spectrum analysis is available for the monitoring of contamination condition of EPDM Polymer insulators.

Electrical Properties and Lifetime Prediction of Epoxy/$SiO_2$Composites with Water Absorption Ageing (흡수열화에 따른 Epoxy/$SiO_2$ 복합체의 전기적 특성 및 수명예측)

  • Dielectric strength of insulators made of epoxy composites rapidly decreases due to ageing to interfaces between the matric resin and filler particles. The adhesion variation of interfaces caused by moisture absorption also alters electrical properties that are the basic characteristics of insulators, particularly, in outdoor use. In this paper, electrical properties of epox/SiO$_2$composites were investigated at boiling absorption condition to observe the influences of moisture. In order to analyze the basic physical properties of samples, scanning electron microscopy and DC, AC and impulse voltage dielectric strength were measured. Also, the breakdown time of samples was measured under AC 6[kV] applied voltage, and the variation of lifetime was verified by using Weibull distribution function.

  • It is increasing the interest on the comfortable dwelling environment and the efforts to solve the problem of the floor impact noise in apartment houses have been realized, as a result numerous products have been made. The purpose of this study is to investigate the sound insulation performances according to foaming rate of floor impact noise insulators and flooring coverings in Mock-up Test Room. The test results of impact insulation performance for each floor impact noise insulators is that double structure of insulator is excel than one in low-middle frequency band and as foaming rate go up, the sound insulation performance is improved.

  • We demonstrated low-voltage organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs) with bilayer insulators, high-k polymer and low temperature crosslinkable polymer, on a flexible plastic substrate. Poly (vinylidene fluoridetrifluoroethylene) (P(VDF-TrFE)) and poly (2-vinylnaphthalene) are used for high-k polymer gate insulator and low temperature crosslinkable polymer insulators, respectively. The mobility of flexible OTFTs is $0.17cm^2/Vs$ at gate voltages -5 V after bending operation.

  • For detecting of Energized Insulator, a new Lateral Information Propagation Networks(LIPN) has been proposed. Faulty insulator is reduced the rate of insolation extremely, and taken the results dirty and injured. It is necessary to be actions that detect the faulty insulator and exchange the new one. And thus, we have designed the LIPN to be detected that insulators by the real time computation method through the inter-node diffusion. In the network, a node corresponds to a state in the quantized input space. Each node is composed of a processing unit and fixed weights from its neighbor nodes as well as its input terminal. Information propagates among neighbor nodes laterally and inter-node interpolation is achieved. Through the results of simulation experiments, we define the ability of real-time detecting the faulty insulators.

The Contamination Characteristics of Insulators with Heights (에자의 설치 높이에 따른 오손 특성)

  • This paper explains the characteristic differences in the process of insulator contamination according to heights. To investigate the contamination characteristics, test insulators are suspended to tower at the heights of 8m, 15m, 33m and 50m. That points stand for distances from insulator to bottom of the 22.9 kV, 154 kV, 345 kV and 765 kV towers, respectively. Generally, the contamination level of transmission lines is determined on the basis of measured value at the height of around 10m due to limitation in measuring. As the contamination level could be affected by the heights and the location of the constructed tower, it is suggested that the measured values should be corrected to minimize errors.
