에폭시 복합재료의 내트래킹성에 미치는 산성비의 영향 (The Influence of acid rein upon Tracking resistance of Epoxy Composite Materials)

  • In this study, in order to develop outdoor insulating materials, SIN(simultaneous interpenetrating polymer network) was introduced to Epoxy resin and the environment resistance was investigated. Six kinds of specimen were manufacture by filler($SiO_2$) content. SEM was untilized in order to confirm their network structure changes. Also, tracking test, UV test and acid rain test were carried out investigate the environment resistance characteristic. Therefore it was confirmed that simultaneous interpenetrating polymer network specimens were more excellent than single network structure specimens. But, acid rain almost never changed resistance.

220V 가정용 콘센트에 대한 감전위험성 연구 (A study on the hazard of electric shock for 220V domestic receptacles)

  • A children's electric shock accidents have broken out because children can easily insert sharp things in 220V receptacle holes. As the test result of pushing force, children's pushing force was about 2-4kg and the pushing force of sharp things was less than 2kg. Therefore, it is reason for electric shock that children's pushing force is large than pushing force of sharp things. We have measured insulation resistance for the receptacles of five companies during 50 weeks in humid condition. As these results, Insulation resistance for the receptacles of J. Co. had rapidly decreased with lapse of time. As the result for investigating the surface of receptacle by SEM and EDX, Al, Fe and Br, which weren't discovered at original form, were produced. Therefore, the receptacles of J. Co. should be the improved in the quality of insulating material because insulation resistance can be decreased in humid environment

  • Nickel oxide thin films exhibit the resistive switching as a function of applied voltages. The switching phenomena involve low and high resistance states after electroforming. The electrical features are believed to be associated with the formation and rupture of filaments. The set and reset behaviors are controlled by the oxidation and reduction of filaments. The indirect evidence of filaments is corroborated by the presence of nanocrystalline nickel oxides found in high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. The insertion of insulating layers seems to control the current-voltage characteristics by preventing the continuous formation of conductive filaments, potentially leading to artificial control of resistive behaviors in NiO-based systems.

절연층에 따른 전류제한기용 YBCO박막형 선재의 전류제한 특성 (Current Limiting Characterics of YBCO Coated Conductor for SFCL According to Insulation)

  • YBCO coated conductor can change the stabilization layer for purpose and it leads advantages in Improvement of tape's critical properties and Application. Such properties rise possibility of using YBCO coated conductor for Superconductor Fault Current Limiter, therefore, we investigate changing properties under over current condition and limiting characteristics. In this study, YBCO coated conductor's current limiting characteristic stainless steel stabilization layer under condition of changing conductor's insulating layer. Consequently, the resistance followed insulating layer so we know that limiting characteristics.

SrTiO3계 GBL Capacitor의 미세구조 및 유전특성 (Microstructure and Dielectric Properties of a SrTiO3-based GBL Capacitor)

  • The microstructure and dielectric properties of a SrTiO3-based GBL (Grain Boundary Layer) capacitor were investigated. The 0.6 mol% Nb2O5 doped SrTiO3 was sintered for 3 hr at 1450$^{\circ}C$ in mixed gas(N2/H2) atmosphere. The Nb2O5 promoted the grain growth of the SrTiO3 ceramics was decreased with the amount of Nb2O5. The oxide mixture(PbO, Bi2O3, B2O3) were painted on the reduced specimen and fired at 1000$^{\circ}C$ to 1100$^{\circ}C$ in air. The penetrated oxide mixture into specimen were located in grain boundaries. A SrTiO3-based GBL capacitor had the apparent permittivity of about 3.0${\times}$104, the dielectric loss of 0.01-0.02, and insulating resistance of 108-109$\Omega$.cm. The capacitor had the stable temperature coefficient of capacitance and exhibited dielectric dispersion over 107 Hz. The capacitance-voltage measurements indicated that the grain boundary was composed of the continuous insulating layers.

오손액의 표면장력이 폴리머 복합재의 트래킹 열화에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Surface Tension of Contaminants on Tracking Ageing of Polymeric Composites)

  • In this paper, the effect of surface tension, wettability, flow rate of contaminants with varying surfactant content and frequency of applied voltage on the tracking breakdown of epoxy insulating materials were investigated. As the flow rate of contaminant is increased, the surface resistivity is decreased, and the leakage current is increased, the time to tracking breakdown is decreased. It is found that time to tracking breakdown depends on the surface tension of contaminant, that is difference of wettability And as the frequency of applied voltage is increased, time to tracking breakdown decreased.

전자석 시스템의 절연 구조물용 유리섬유강화 복합재료의 층간 파괴인성 (Interlaminar Fracture Toughness of GFRP Composites for Insulating Structure of Magnet System)

  • In this study, the interlaminar fracture behaviors of laminated GFRP composites were investigated, and the results could be used for damage tolerance design based on fracture mechanics. Three types of laminated GFRP composites that can be used as high voltage insulating materials in magnet systems were fabricated in order to study the interlaminar fracture behavior according to the molding process. The values of interlaminar fracture toughness for the VPI, prepreg, and HPL laminate were $1.9MPa{\cdot}^{1/2}$, $1.7MPa{\cdot}^{1/2}$, and $2.2MPa{\cdot}^{1/2}$, respectively. HPL laminate showed the best fracture resistance. The failure modes of HPL and VPI were similar to that of an adhesive joint, and prepreg laminates showed partial cohesive failure mode due to internal voids.

Leveling-Off of the Resistance at Low Temperatures in Granular In/InO$_x$ Thin Films

  • We observed leveling-off of the resistance in granular In/InO$_x$ thin films in the zero-temperature limit. The temperature T$_b$ at which the leveling-off appears gets larger as the sheet resistance R$_n$ increases. This is consistent with the concept that the leveling-off of the resistance is due to the dissipation of the bosonic phase and that the dissipation is enhanced as the resistance increases. The magnetic field dependence of the saturated resistance R$_b$ at low temperatures fits the modified square-root cusp-like form R$_b$/R$_n$=α exp[-b(B/B$_c$-1)$^{-1/2}$] for the magnetic field in the range B$_c$$_f$ where B$_c$ is the onset magnetic field of the resistance leveling-off. α and b are constants of order 1. For B>B$_f$ tansport properties are described by the theory of the fermi insulator. From the results, we attribute the leveling-off to the dissipative quantum tunneling of vortices, which supports the models predicting the vortex-motion-induced insulating phase related with the concept like"dirty boson" [1]l and "hose metal" [2].

  • Hybrid insulators that have the advantages of both porcelain (high mechanical strength and chemical stability) as well as polymer (light weight and high resistance to pollution) insulators, can be used in place of individual porcelain and polymer insulators that are used for both mechanical support as well as electrical insulation of overhead power transmission lines. The most significant feature of hybrid insulators is the presence of porcelain/polymer interfaces where the porcelain and polymer are physically bonded. Individual porcelain and polymer insulators do not have such porcelain/polymer interfaces. Although the interface is expected to affect the mechanical/electrical properties of the hybrid insulator, systematic studies of the adhesion properties at the porcelain/polymer interface and the effect of the interface on the insulation characteristics and electric field distribution of the hybrid insulator have not been reported. In this study, we fabricated small hybrid insulator specimens with various types of interfaces and investigated the effect of the porcelain/polymer interface on the microstructure, insulating characteristics, and electric field distribution of the hybrid insulators. It was observed that the porcelain/polymer interface of the hybrid insulator does not have a significant effect on the insulating characteristics and electric field distribution, and the hybrid insulator can exhibit electrical insulating properties that are similar or superior to those of individual porcelain and polymer insulators.

PVT 공법의 공정 변수가 고순도 반절연 SiC 단결정의 저항에 미치는 영향 (The effect of PVT process parameters on the resistance of HPSI-SiC crystal)

  • 본 연구에서는 SiC(Silicon Carbide) 분말의 순도와 결정 성장 후 냉각 속도를 제어하여 PVT(Physical Vapor Transport) 방법으로 성장한 4인치 HPSI(High-Purity Semi-Insulating)-SiC 단결정의 저항 특성을 조사하였다. 순도가 다른 2개의 β-SiC 분말을 사용하였고, 성장 후 냉각 속도를 조절하여 다양한 저항값을 얻었다. 성장된 결정의 투과/흡수 스펙트럼 및 결정 품질은 각각 UV/VIs/NIR 분석과 XRD Rocking curve 분석을 이용하였으며, 비접촉 비저항 분석을 통해 전기적 특성을 조사하여 비저항 특성에 우세한 영향을 미치는 주요 요인을 확인하였다.
