  • In-place curing box for specimens is used to cure the compressive strength specimens for control in place concrete. The box if composed of insulating chamber maintaining 20$\pm$3$^{\circ}C$ of temperature, in this paper, strength and temperature history of specimens cured at in plate curing box are investigated to verify field applicability. According to test results, air temperature at measured time shows large temperature variation and below zero, whereas, inside temperature of in place curing box maintains within 20$\pm$3$^{\circ}C$ due to temperature control function. For curing condition. temperature of specimens cured at outside shows large temperature deviation. specimens lured at in-place curing box is not affected by outer temperature.

  • Calcium silicate inorganic insulating material is a porous material which is made of 90 wt% of cement. Unlike existing inorganic insulation materials, it is produced without high temperature curing process and also it costs much less than existing inorganic insulation materials. It is an innovative insulation material that supplemented disadvantages of conventional inorganic insulation material. Researches and developments about inorganic insulation materials have been actively researched abroad. Calcium silicate insulation has $0.13g/cm^3$ of specific gravity. Its heat conductivity is under 0.050W/mK, which it similar to conventional inorganic insulation. However, it has weak compressive strength compared to other inorganic insulation. The point of this research is to manifest that calcium silicate inorganic insulating material can have certain compressive strength after curing process with high insulating performance and to find out the proper curing methods and period.

  • This study is to propose a curing method for a concrete wall structure under severe cold climate. The curing methods of using heated cable, heated panel and insulated form were applied. Results showed that the concrete cured by the heated cable resulted in the highest temperature history and the highest strength development at 28 days. Further, it is believed that the curing methods of the heated panel and insulated form are also recommendable for the resistance of the early frost damage on the concrete in practice.

  • EPDM compound can be cured with either the sulfur and peroxide based systems. In this study, heat resistance and weatherability of EPDM compounds depending on curing systems were investigated. The test results showed that the peroxide-cured EPDM was more resistant to heat ageing and UV photo-degradation than the sulfur-cured EPDM and it is due to C-C bond is more stable than C-S, S-S bond.

  • This paper investigates the temperature history of slab mock-up specimens with various surface curing sheets, in order to determine a favorable surface curing method in hot weather condition. Test showed that insulating double bubble sheets+aluminum foil simultaneously on the upper section of a specimen prevented an increase of sudden temperature and a decrease of vaporization when placed during the hot weather condition. It also secured the high strength in early age. Therefore it is found that using the double bubble sheets+aluminum foil on concrete surface declined the plastic and drying shrinkage and inclined the early strength, thus improving the concrete quality.

  • This study investigates the field application of surface insulation curing method, which combined double layer bubble sheet(DBS) and thick-curing-material(TCM) for cold weather concreting. According to the test, deck slab, curing only upper section with DBS and TCM, does not make big different temperature history with that, curing both upper and bottom section during daily average temperature 6.5t. It is concluded that combination of DBS and TCM in only upper section can be safely cured in early period of time during cold water concreting. The field test was carried out with this favourable data. The upper deck slab was insulated by combination of DBS and TCM, and the construction was surrounded by tent. in order to protect from outside wind. The test result shows that the lowest temperature of deck slab indicated 6$ ^{circ}C $. It demonstrated that this curing method can resist early frost and save construction cost in the side of management and saving labor cost, compared with previous method. In addition, the column specimen, combined both form and bubble board, exhibited favorable temperature history, due to internal hydration heat insulation effect.

  • When cavity floor is near the pulp, polymerization of light-activated restorations results in temperature increase. This temperature increase cause by both the exothermic reaction process and the energy absorbed during irradiation. Therefore instating base is required. Most frequently used insulating base is glass ionmer. The purpose of this study was to evaluate intrapulpal temperature changes of glass ionomer according to various curing intensity and curing time. Caries and restoration-free mandibular molars extracted within three months were prepared Class I cavity of 3$\times$6mm with high speed handpiece. 1mm depth of dentin was evaluated with micrometer in mesial and distal pulp horns. Pulp chambers were filled with 37.0$\pm$0.1$^{\circ}C$ water to CEJ. Chromium-alumina thermocouple was placed in pulp horn for evaluating of temperature changes. glass ionomer material was placed in 2mm. total curing time was 40s: continuous 40s, intermittent 20s, intermittent 10s. Glass ionomer material was cured with 300mW/$\textrm{cm}^2$, 550mW/$\textrm{cm}^2$ light curing unit. The results were as follows : 1. Temperature in pulp increased as curing unit power is increased. 2. Temperature in pulp more increased continuous emission than intermittent emission.

  • In this paper, insulating effect and strength development of concrete under low temperature are reported varying curing sheets. According to test results, in temperature -5$^{\circ}$C concrete subject to exposure and air cap condition, result in a frost damage at early age by a fall of below zero temperature. Mean while, the combination of PE film and non-woven fabric maintained around 3 $^{\circ}$C within first 24 hours since placement. For double bubble sheets, concrete temperature maintained above 7$^{\circ}$C due to its excellent heat insulating capability. As a result of core strength test, strength of specimens cured with viny + non-woven fabric and double bubble sheets had higher strength than strength of other specimens due to good heat insulation effect at early age.

  • Epoxy, noticed as a new insulation material for electrical equipments, may become an excellent cured material from the crosslink reaction with some curing agents and accelerators. The characteristics of cured epoxy is determined by the method of lattice formation according to curing method. The purpose of this paper, varing the process of lattice formation by various surrounding temperatures and heating time during the curing process, is to obtain the optimum cured condition for electrical insulation from the results of investigation on the physical and dielectric properties of cured epoxy. In this investigation, it is found that the excessive temperature and heating time brings on the growth of metamorphic methyl and the insulating properties of cured epoxy is decreased by this phenomenon. As a result, it is concluded that the optimum dielectric characteristics can be obtained when cured at a curing temperature at 14$0^{\circ}C$ for one hour.
